basically the basis of my thoughts on it stemmed from davids insecurity about his masculinity . and ive seen people interpret that as him being transmasc but i think hes too repressed and has too much internalized bigotry to have been born a girl . but i think hed be so much happier as a woman i fear . since childhood hes been pushed into this mold of the ideal man and its reallyyyyy fucked him up even as an adult now so his view of masculinity and femininity is too skewed for him to realize this kind of thing about himself . but if he knew that hes actually capable of expressing himself differently hed be happier . i think the long hair is a step in the right direction

also this season they Really boosted the dial with making him seem as feminine as they can . like they were already going at it before with emasculating him as much as humanly possible but they had like five billion David Is QUEER! bits this season and its been driving me nuts . the joke about him being nonbinary, comparing him to a vagina, the coming out party thing, like five billion different things in the fish and the whale, etc . and like . whatever its just jokes ha ha but its soooo serious to me . like no one understands how serious i am . but hes like painfully repressed i dont think hed realize it on his own honestly which is why a lot of my transfem david stuff involves brad . i think he would help him navigate it . probably at least partially against his will but . yknow . oh well

actually i also have this one au where its bridget (genderbend transfem brad) and david which is #Important to me . idk how to really explain it but its basically just david comprehending his gender by bridget being like Someones gotta bang this girl and if it has to be me then so be it
