IMPORTANT UPDATE!
Keeping my trans HCs/fanart in my alter cus some people are already tagging my non-trans pieces as trans and I don't want people to get the wrong idea. For the last time, I draw scars whenever I'm trying to represent something otherwise there's always a reason(storywise).
I do my own research about sex-change surgeries and the way trans people represent themselves onto fanarts and the way they draw trans hcs for non-comforming characters. There's so many ideas that I love,I don't wanna to offend anyone over a piece that isn't meant for that type of representation. Dividing it brings in much less confusion into my accounts, the least I want is a guy who changes his genitals on purpose being confused by representation of a character actually struggling about their body image and mental health.
(ADDING SOME MORE EXPLANATION)
I do this because I do not want to accidentally come across as a transphobic person, I have trans friends whose I usually ask before posting my pieces for extra reassurance about if it's okay or not. It's okay if you still enjoy my arts regardless or see yourself in it, just please don't spread my non-trans HCs works and say I draw trans characters that way when my NSFW pieces are mostly done for the sake of porn/made-up lore(a.k.a. not mention to be taken seriously) . Whenever I draw or want to draw actual trans characters I always make sure to add scars,if there's no scars, then the piece is manly just me having an idea for the story that doesn't involve any dysphoria and isn't meant to be seen as trans represetation.
I myself had dysphoria at some point,I have had past experiences os using binders while indetifying as genderfluid while also wanting to be a man. (I was also using a binder)
But despise this not being the case anymore,I'm still not experienced enough and I'm open for future suggestion about my actually trans HCs and ideas.
It's okay if anyone wants to ask about what's the stories behind an nsfw art posted on my account that aren't meant to be serious or about body dysphoria my CuriousCat is always open for any questions regardless my art!

REC: Trans Lead Characters In Japanese Movies/Series
Japan in the past has not been known for their media being particularly ‘woke’ or progressive, by any means, especially not when it comes to LGBTQIA+ representation. However, in the past few years, for some miraculous and marvellous reason, there have been a veritable parade of incredible lead LGBTQIA+ characters in some great series’ and movies.
There has recently been a lot of attention given to the success of Ossan’s Love and the steady flow of bl-manga adaptations that have followed. But in the midst of all this, nobody has given much attention to these other wonderful LGBTQIA+ stories which have been widely missed and ignored. But each one is beautiful in its own way, and I hope people will take some time to watch them *I have included links below.
Yes, one may critique the portrayal of these characters by cis male actors. NEVERTHELESS, upon watching these stories, I found them to be incredibly progressive and complex. Each of these shows deals with some pretty big issues around identity, prejudice, gender, sexuality, and wider concepts of acceptance, individuality etc. And each of them managed to do so in genuine, honest, touching, sensitive ways - even “Where Have My Skirts Gone?”, which seems like a comedy at first, came in swinging with its unapologetic politics. And “Life As A Girl”’s lead Miki is a transgender lesbian, like I’m sorry has any other show ever!?!? and then had entire scenes EXPLAINING the correct terminology to a her himbo cis friend who spends the show learning how to be an ally, THANK YOU YES HELLO !?!??!?! Go watch it.
In order of release: 1. Close Knit / 彼らが本気で編むときは (2017)
This absolute gem of a film will give you ALL the found family feels and you will SOB happy tears. A neglected young girl, Tomo, goes to live with her uncle and his girlfriend Rinko, who is a trans-woman (played by my homeboy IKUTA TOMA, bitch don’t touch me he is so fucking perfect in this role). This film explores the prejudices towards LGBTQIA+ people through the perspective of this young girl and her relationship with her new mother figure, as well as the struggles of young queer kids, through both flashbacks to Rinko’s childhood, and the storyline of Tomo’s friend. It also confronts the pressures and expectations of femininity and maternity, through both Rinko and Tomo’s mother. It’s BEAUTIFUL. So beautiful. You can watch it subbed >here<
2. Life As A Girl / 女子的生活 (2018)
I don’t know how many times I’ve rewatched this show now, I can’t believe it’s only 4 episodes. It could have been 40 and I wouldn’t have complained. This wonderful mini-series revolves around Miki (Jun Shison, who is so underrated, when will he get the recognition he deserves!?) a young lesbian transgender woman who works in the fashion industry and is happily enjoying her metropolitan life, when an old school friend Goto (Machida Keita, who plays Kurasawa in Cherry Magic, and if you weren’t already in love with him you WILL BE BITCH), comes knocking on her door, looking for somewhere to crash cause he’s broke. This 👏🏼Show 👏🏼. In four episodes, it tackles more issues than most do in entire seasons. I need to make a longer post about it cause I’ll rant here. Just, go watch it subbed >here<.
3. Where Have My Skirts Gone? / 俺のスカート、どこ行った (2019).
I have to admit, I only watched this once last year and haven’t had a chance to rewatch yet - so forgive my foggy memory. This is more of a Mrs Doubtfire or AJ & The Queen type situation - the mystical, wise, punk-rock cross-dressing fairy-godmother figure comes to solve the problems of the teenagers. It doesn’t tackle trans issues directly, technically the lead, Nobuo Harada (Arata Furuta), is a gay cross-dresser. But, the sentiment is still there, and it tackles heaps of diverse issues through the different lives of the kids. It started as a bit of a dark comedy, but I found it really touching in the end, and really appreciated it’s message. Very wholesome, very camp, just enjoyable content really. Watch it subbed >here<.

pushing my shameless trans agenda onto liam
Hi i just think he’s transgender have you seen the man
Ok so obviously I’m not intending to say this is canon or ever will be canon i just think it would be Neat and i can fit it within canon since well we really can’t tell and there’s honestly a lot of things that fit with it :) also it’s just my favorite characters get hit with the transgenderification beam bc i say so
The whole argument is basically:
-the Name Situation
-his appearance and mannerisms
-his Past TM
-the Bond Situation
-and because I said so
But yeah so the main reason this came to mind is because of the whole deal with his name. I made a previous post on this but yeah, the thing about liam’s name is a big deal, and you know, as a trans person I see it and relate it to that.
The main thing is that there was no necessity to change his name. Louis never changed his first name, and there was no need to. And it’s never really gone over why william’s past life is so important to cover up, other than the fact that he did a court case where he threatened to cut a guy’s arm off when he was like eight, but that’s like... you know, that’s reasonable. He’s very very protective of his past identity, where louis kind of isn’t.
And the fact is, William isn’t an alias, he didn’t have to take that name, he isn’t just doing it out of necessity- he truly does identify with that name, proven in many ways. He enjoys nicknames derived from it. And the thing most indicative of this is Sherlock. In chapter 53, he goes wayyyy out of his comfort zone to actually reveal his past identity and his name. Sherlock knows it, the entire point is to reveal that to him, as a way of giving up the last and most important of his secrets. And yet, even then, William signs his letter ‘William James Moriarty’, though it’s supposed to be his innermost, most vulnerable self.
This pretty much says for sure it’s the name he wants to be called, the name he identifies with, and not whatever his name used to be. It’s important to him, and that’s not a front- have you read that fucking letter? If he was going to admit himself as anything else, it would be there.
Sherlock respects that as well- if there was ever a time when Sherlock would not call him liam, it would be in chapter 55. And yet the most important thing is that he still did call him Liam. He was accepting this dude even though he used to be something else, he didn’t care and he was still willing to save him and love him. Hmmm Sherlock allegory for Trans Ally lmao.
How the identity and name itself is treated also makes it seem even more a positive represetation of a deadname situation. They never tell us his name. And that’s like... honestly important. They’re going out of their way to say that his old name isn’t important. They’re not keeping it secret for any reason than to show that it doesn’t matter, that no matter what he used to be, William James Moriarty is what he is now.
Anyway, other than the name situation, there are still a lot of other factors that go into my thoughts about it.
A lot of his behaviors are indicative to it, especially when he is a kid there are moments where im just like “haha this is an allegory for transgenderism”.
Like first and foremost have you seen how this man looks as a kid? That is the most androgynous motherfucker you’ve ever laid eyes on. No one would honestly be able to tell, the way he looks as a kid is in no way disproving this- kind of the opposite, in fact.
are you honestly looking at this face and telling me rn you know that’s a cisgender boy?
And honestly, the fact that Albert lends him some of his old clothes just to go around outside in, and then when he comes back the butler is like Take Those Off Right Now Those Aren’t For You is like. Hm. That’s a gender thing. It’s obviously not the case but yknow, another allegory TM.
In his own orphanage as well, he basically took the ‘eldest daughter’ role to a T. He was doing all the chores, taking care of the children, teaching them things, actually managing all the finances as a Child, and kind of thanklessly getting handed this workload he took on bc, you know, eldest daughter. This role just isn’t really given to guys, no matter if they’re Smart TM? I feel like an amab person here would be given the oooh special gifted kid treatment but he’s not, they mostly just use him there as “free extra mom and 100% adult at 12″.
Another big thing is the entire situation around bond, who is literally a canon trans character. For this time period, the way the Moriartys handled the situation seems almost comically out of place. These dudes from the 1800s really just were like “oh yeah ofc you’re a man and we’ll fight anyone who says otherwise and facilitate you in any way possible”- they accepted it without even having to come to terms with the idea that it could be a thing. Bond clarifies constantly that it isn’t about him filling a role, that this is genuinely him, there’s no doubt about it. They clearly have run across it before, and it’s a significant and important issue to them that at least one of them has to have experienced firsthand. It literally just doesn’t make any sense otherwise.
Also in this situation I think it’s kind of funny that the one name they have on hand for the transgenders is James like come on you can do better than that
The parallels between him and Bond also make the whole situation really funny, especially with Sherlock bc it’s like wow sherlock i see you have a type and it’s blond trans men.
Plus, the man is overly secretive, he refuses to let anyone but Louis in his room and just generally doesn’t let people he doesn’t trust get close to him, obviously there are plenty of valid secrets he is keeping, it’s just another thing that points to it.
And I mean, honestly. Just look at the dude. Transgender trait: awful haircut. It’s the awful trans haircut you get from having a Gender Moment and going to a cis barber like “cut my hair short” and they give you karen hair. Somehow he owns it? But it’s an objectively terrible haircut.
My last point: because I said so. All my favorite characters get the transgenderification beam.
So you know, I refuse to believe he is cis until they decide we get to see him shirtless, come on anime team, don’t be cowards lmao

I really, really hope that people understand how brilliant Elliot Page’s Met Gala (2021) outfit was.
I know I’m fucking late to the party, but Let me explain. Oversized suit? It represets trans boys and trans men growing into their skin. In Elliot’s case, he’s growing into his ‘new skin’ and truly living as him self. The green flower? A homage to Oscar Wilde, an Irish poet who was sent to trial for being gay. He and friends of his all wore green carnations to show their support for Oscar.
So yeah, that outfit was awesome
