the phenomenon of taking guy characters and turning them into women in mcyt and mcyt-adjacent fandoms due to a shortage/lack of well-written and engaging female characters needs to be studied i think. this isnt a gripe with transfem hcs i love transfem hcs but im just wondering. why go out of ur way to take a male character and slap she/her pronouns on him when you could instead read or watch something with good prevalent female characters that are very well written already? like. there's a fucking Pattern with the characters ppl hc as transfem. its always the kind and loving level-headed voices of reason that get the transfem beam. why do you think the soft and kind male character who's meek and mild and folds easily under pressure is the one who's a woman. why is that. huh. why. answer quick.

i don't normally write about the papas but i'm having Feelings about trans father figure copia right now.

none of the trans ghouls had good upbringings, constantly put down for their identities and belittled for it, told they'll never have the gender-affirming care they so desperately need. so when they're summoned into copia's pack, once again in the wrong body, they try and hide it, suppress it.

that doesn't last any time at all though, copia won't ever have a ghoul feeling like he did during his upbringing with imperator. he'll introduce himself, "hi i'm your papa, you can call me copia. does this body feel right for you? i only ask because mine wasn't and i want to help so you don't have to suffer alone."

"what do you mean your body wasn't right?" they always ask.

"well i'm transgender so i was born in a female vessel but actually i was meant to be male. the ministry helped me to fix it all up, and i want to offer the same to all my ghouls should they need it."

"oh uhh is it that easy?"

"of course, my ghoul. there's plenty of others just like you, even our resident medic, omega. he'll get you sorted in no time. you can go through your options with him for your vessel. you're also welcome to visit our seamstress, sunny, she can fix up some clothes that fit your style and body type." he says with a booming smile. it never gets old watching the ghouls come into themselves as they realise for the first time in their lives that they're safe. he treasures watching them visibly relax, muscles unclenching, hackles falling at the sight of their very own trans summoner. not only can trans people exist, they can be leaders, they can strive for change. none of them ever look back, happily falling into the welcoming arms of the pack.

So she decided to hide her music heritage.

Rosiepuff actually knew she was a rock troll from the start and told Ash Sr. her secret was safe with her.

Rosiepuff gave her approval of Ash's relationship with her daughter and a blessing for their marriage after eating her fluffleberry, saying it tasted really good for her.

She did tell Blueberry her music heritage after years of encouragement from Rosiepuff

Her kids call her “Mama”, while they call Blueberry “Ma”

Has made a presentation about her brothers and relatives and their low downs on Blueberry when they actually meet them.

Ash Sr. had to leave the troll tree with her three kids because some troll kept sending her threats that he knew she was a Rock troll and that if she didn't, she would be thrown off the troll tree by that same troll. (I'm not going to name that troll, but let's just say he was eaten by a Bergen.)

That same troll (the one threatening Ash) was later pushed off the troll tree by someone who didn't really like him; hint hint it was probably Rosiepuff.

But sadly, Ash Sr. has already left, not knowing that her wife is having another child.

I'm ace and I don't really think about the sexuality of characters too often so I generally see all characters as ace

Sometimes I see him as cis and other times I see him as a trans guy, but also he's bi to me because I also see every character as bi. Call me a self projectionist the way every character is bi and ace to me

(It me QuiteALotOfSodaPop): I 100% hc Finn as a trans man. Like pre-80s style shameless trans energy. I feel like his family didnt *get* it but they (esp his sibs) eventually accepted it. To Finn its not even worth bringing up in convo - "Why would I go around telling my coworkers about my junk?". The other Enforcers learned of it organically and accepted him immediately

Oh my god I'm so glad we share this headcanon because it consumes my waking thoughts.

Yeah, Finn doesn't tell anyone unless he's gonna sleep with them, its not any of their business. He was already getting attached to Chow and Ratso so it was kind of nerve wracking when he told them, but they were both just like "oh. Well okay!" And it wasn't a big deal at all.

They were his number one supporters when he got bottom surgery, taking care of him out of the hospital and stuff.

Its my hc that Finn started working for The Dark Hand to pay for top surgery when he was working at a bar, his coworker asked him if he wanted to get into this more shady stuff after work and once he saw how much they were paying he was like 'oh my god hold on I can pay for surgeries now'

Finn doesn't tell anyone once he's got bottom surgery and The Dark Hand had plenty of money and resources to make the name and sex marker change process much easier.

Finn always passed really well, and most people assume he's a cis gay man and that is exactly what he wanted.

It seems Sherry's school refused to let her wear girl's uniform... Maybe it's a good thing they got eaten by zombies.

I mean, I'd buy it.

Unless she actively chose to wear shorts instead I guess. Depends on how strict the rule is for the school.
