" O-Ozpin? " The maiden's usually calm voice trembled as she struggled to speak clutching onto the other tightly and taking uneven shaky breaths. " Y...You didn't get hit...r-right? " [tranquilsnowfall] [ *whispers* I am so sorry ]

“Why...?” 

No. This wasn’t supposed to happen. This was supposed to be his end. He had known it from the moment the bow had drawn taut, the arrow would fly true, and exhausted and wounded as he was there would be no chance to defend himself. 

He was content in the knowledge that at least he had stalled for time, that perhaps even one more life would be saved while she was trapped down here with him rather than up above wreaking her havoc.

But moments before the final blow struck, a flash of blue and white filled his vision. He heard the sickening thud of glass penetrating flesh, felt the warmth of blood soaking into his jacket. It was all familiar to him. 

All that was missing was the pain. 

“You... Why would you...?” He met those tranquil blue eyes, shaking hands wrapping around her form until they brushed against the shaft of the arrow protruding from her back.

Oh. There it is.

But on this day, as he peered out his window, his gaze fell upon a young maiden.Calmly, she sat beneath his tree in a state of absolute tranquility.” A smile on her face, as she reads a tale to herself in the beautiful garden that she’s read many, many times before. “When the wizard demanded an explanation, the maiden simply replied, "My name is Winter. I am on a journey, and I am waiting for my sisters."With that, she closed her eyes and sat in silence.

She pauses, looks up towards a sky a thats a beautiful shade of blue. Oh, what she would have loved to have sat under that tree with the Winter Maiden, danced and grew flowers with the Spring....lifted hearts like Summer, and feasted like Fall....

Hc: Winter enjoys when Ozpin plays with her hair, especially since it's so rarely let down [tranquilsnowfall]

Yesss Ozpin just loves running his fingers through her hair, combing it for her and helping her put it up when one of the others aren’t around to do it for her. Plus he just likes to have her lay her head in his lap so he can toy with her hair.
