I will never get over the fact that dungeon meshi's official spanish name is 'tragones y mazmorras'
#10/10 no notes#so for the non spanish speakers#dungeons and dragons in spanish is dragones y mazmorras#tragones means guzzlers#so the name translatea to 'guzzlers and dragons'#but it rhymes in spanish#and also the order is different in spanish so it actually is 'guzzlers and dungeons'#which mantains the 'dungeon' part from the original

I'm going to call it Tragones y Mazmorras :3c bc whoever came with that translation deserves a raise, it's funny.
dnd in spanish is calabozos y dragones.
tragones means guzzlers but looks and sounds similar to dragones, and mazmorras is another way to translate dungeon.
I don’t care how much official media and people call it that, I’m not calling it Delicious in Dungeon

Ok, I want everyone to know that the Spanish name for the series, at least in Netflix, is 'tragones y mazmorras', so if you don't yet know why that's the best title, let me explain. Dungeons and Dragons is often translated as :' Dragones y mazmoras' so yeah that rhyme, so cool. So they change the d for a t? Yeah, but then what does that mean? Easy, the "tragones" that is making a pun with "dragones" means guzzler or glutton. Making the title something in line of: dungeons and gluttons with, I don't think it sounds half as charming as it does in Spanish but oh well. What I'm saying is that they saw a chance and they took it.
