Apparently the laws in various countries are kinda complicated about this. From what I've been able to find, some places allow some lights up to 6000K and other lights only up to 4200K, and apparently it can vary locally. Some places you're allowed to have lights that are more blue but, only off the road. I still think the 6000K limit was set as a compromise for manufacturers by neurotypicals who don't care about people's night vision, but I don't know what to do with that opinion, so here's some color reference I found on Quora.

Personally, I like having night vision. I don't like feeling the urgent need to shut my eyes at oncoming traffic because they're beaming the color of daylight at my sensitive eyes.
I've read books where a character fighting at night closes his eyes and lights a match to take away the night vision of his opponents. Don't do that to drivers😅
Headlights are just too bright now. We gotta regulate them.
(And before anyone says it’s just an aiming problem - no. Like I apologize to the headlight aficionados clearly lusting after lighthouses, chernobyl, or the death star, but no amount of aiming is gonna fix the fact that the moment your car encounters any kind of hill, curve, or bump, my retinas are vaporized by a shade of blue-white previously known only to god.
