Tmnt February day 22! Prompt 'clothes'
I went with the first thought I had for this which was the guys' disguises
As for the second thought...yknow that scene in the old voltron show (it's pretty much a meme) where they say "we don't need clothes to form voltron" ? Well my brain went 'make it the boys but "we don't need clothes to defeat shredder" and I cannot stop snickering over this
Have a blessed day/night!

My Traditional Art vs. AI
I rather like these results for a couple of reasons. As an artist I think I always aim for realistically conveying the idea of the model using lines and shading and it seems like the AI was able to recognize the concept and basically spit out what I was trying to convey. So in terms of being a communicative tool for art I think that’s helpful. One thing I did note was that for the second sketch it seemed to miss a lot of the attitude in the pose. It went for a traditionally attractive image instead so it’s interesting to see how it interpreted nuances like facial expression. The same goes for the last one but I really enjoy the more playful, youthful style of the AI image while it still adopted the visual elements like the red chair and pose and hair. I also liked that there was no whitewashing that occurred here. It recognized the curls and skin tone of the second and third pieces and stayed true to that. The images it generated for my second work has some great curls in it that I would love to use as a practice picture to learn how to draw curly hair better.

time for some OC Worldbuilding (tm)! Featuring Sibura Teth's tribe: the Yeqilon! We see a lot of Kaleesh art being desert dwelling sorts, with the clothing to match, but I have a peeve with homogenizing an entire planet and their people. I always say if humans are allowed diversity, then so do any other species and the world(s) they live in.
The Yeqilon are more mountain dwellers, living in the higher peaks of Kalee. The tribe follows a pantheon of gods. Their belief system is similar to many others on Kalee in that great deeds are looked upon favorably by the gods. The difference lies in the bargaining power of the individual. Their gods suffer from hunger eternal. Souls, much like fruit, only the most ripe and nurtured are the most coveted. Tribe members can vow their soul to either a god of their choosing or all gods at once for favor, blessings, to answer prayers, etc. The greater the warring deeds of the individual in question, the more valuable and succulent their soul becomes, and the greater the chances that the god(s) will pay attention and grant their boons. But the gods are in competition and may sabotage each other, sometimes resulting in those prayers going unanswered and favors unfulfilled, or ending up with a result that was not expected and/or desired.
The Yeqilon like to be flashy. Not only to get the attention of their enemies, but of their gods as well.
Sibura has been off-world for years, and does not wear these traditonal attires anymore.

Everybody loves to consider Greek mythology as a world of clear-cut deities with specific roles and defined limits between them, but it isn't true - and looking at how the deities changed, evolved and mixed together throughout the times is always a deeply rewarding experience.
One example I can give you are the "alternate Aphrodites". Aphrodite was one of the main and most important goddesses of Greek religion - as such she existed with many local variations, specific epithets and alternate cults. But many of these alternate deities ended up actually fusing Aphrodite with or having her replace other gods - a confusion between deities reflected by their very myths and legends.
The most famous case is the "Aphroditos" that was honored in Chypria: the "phallic Venus", the "bearded Aphrodite", an Aphrodite with male and female attributes honoring a mix of both female and male sexualities - and which according to records was linked to rituals of genders exchanging clothes, and other ritual crossdressing. It has been attested and confirmed that the "male Aphrodite", "Aphroditos" was the source of "prototype" for the figure of Hermaphrodite, the source of "hermaphrodism", and the male-female androgyne born in legends of the union of Hermes and Aphrodite - while also acting himself as an alternate form of Hermes in some places.
Hermes isn't the only lover of Aphrodite the goddess ended up confused with. Everybody likes to talk of "Aphrodite Areia", "Aphrodite of war", "Aphrodite in arms", the Aphrodite bearing weapons honored in more war-like cities and cultures of Ancient Greece, notably Sparta. This Aphrodite was usually coupled or paired with Ares, and legend does notoriously point out how the two were lovers. But in some areas, Aphrodite Areia was more than just the companion of Ares or an "Ares-influenced Aphrodite" - she was LITERALY the female version of Ares, replacing him. One same idea of a deity, for two genders.
And a last example I will point out is the Aphrodite Thalassa, or Aphrodite Pontia. "Aphrodite from the sea". We all know Aphrodite has a strong connection to the sea, since in the Hesiodic version she is supposed to be born out of it, and in religion she was considered a protector of sailors and ships. But further than that, you can see how deep her connection goes due to how in Greek religious (or non-religious) art, Aphrodite was often paired with Poseidon. It is something attested (you can check the book "The Twelve Gods of Greece and Rome", which studies the various depictions of the Twelve Olympians) - among the Olympians, when Aphrodite isn't depicted paired with either Hephaistos or Ares, she was usually paired with Poseidon - and when Aphrodite wasn't among the Twelve, she was replaced by Amphitrite, Poseidon's wife and queen. To the point that in many depictions it is hard to tell them apart - if they weren't fused in one...
Aphrodite's alternate self and "combo fusions" can even go in unexpected ways. Take the local cult, at the Hermione town, of Aphrodite "Nymphia" - Aphrodite the Bride, an Aphrodite of weddings and wives honored both by maiden virgins who were to lose their virginity upon their marriage night, or by widows who prepared themselves for a second union. This marital Aphrodite is the first step in the existence of another alternate self usually described as... "Aphrodite-Hera". And if you recall, back in The Iliad, Homer himself talked of how Aphrodite shared with Hera her belt of seduction to awaken the desire of Zeus... (Plus the fact that Aphrodite was said in the Homeric tradition to be the daughter of Zeus and Dione - Dione herself being literaly just a female verson/counterpart of Zeus ; and by extension later some people called Aphrodite herself "Dione" in reference to her mother, the same Helios in the Homeric traditon is also called "Hyperion" despite Hesiod splitting them in a father-and-son duo)
So yeah, sorry all of you who like neat classifications and little boxes that never get mixed up - but by the real facts, while Greek mythology as quite stable, it was also more fluid than you'd think, and the gods did have a tendency to fuse together...
(Cut to a long post about how Selene, Hekate and Artemis ended up all fused into the "Diana triformis" and the "Triple Moon" by Roman times)

@tenacioushubb Submitted:
Hi slayer. It's been a while, my girlfriend convinced me to get the nes on my switch so we've been playing a lot of the original Legend of Zelda. It's been really fun so far and tomorrow we're gonna start the second one. Anyway, here's your regularly scheduled meme haul. Enjoy 👍
Oh before I go I've done some more art that I will be sharing right now. The first one is my gf with moth characteristics and the other is me. They remind me of a moth a lot so I decided to draw her wings so they double like a cloak. Kinda like an elytra in minecraft if you think about it.
That's all. Have a good rest of your day slayer
☆

request by anonymous
a/n as a desi.. had to write this 🤗🤗 this idea was too cute not to write about. i know this is gna flop but wtv 🤒🤒
warnings none
“Miles, can you help me tie this?” You shouted from the bathroom. Miles quickly came to your aid, his breath hitching as he saw you.
“Love.. you look absolutely stunning.” He said with a smile on his face. You smiled at him from the mirror as he walked over to you and wrapped his arms around your waist. “Absolutely gorgeous.”
You giggled and put your hands on top of his. “Thank you, Miles. Now c’mon, help me tie this!”
He didn’t say anything and didn’t move for a minute, before he finally sighed and unwrapped his arms. “Just a lil bow?” He asked. You nodded and watched as he tied the back of your top up with a little bow. You turned around and did a little pose for him.
He felt like he was even more in love with you, smiling at you. Then an idea popped up in his mind. “Hold on. Stay there.” He rushed over to his backpack. You raised an eyebrow at him, before seeing him pull out his notebook.
“Miles, I don’t have a lot of time for this. I’m gonna be late for the function and my parents are gonna yell at me.” You complained, though you didn’t care much if you were late. It was your in blood to be late, desis were never on time to anything. You walked over to where he sat on your bed and stood in front of him.
“It’ll be a quick sketch, I promise.” Miles assured you. You smiled and nodded your head as you let him draw you.
After he was done, he showed you. You smiled at his sketch of you in your lengha, bending down to kiss his lips. “You did amazing.”
Miles smiled at you before he stood up and kissed you again. “C’mon, we don’t want you to be late, do we?” He teased. You rolled your eyes and walked out of your room, Miles still admiring you as you walked in your lengha.
He wasn’t getting over it, and he never will.

Cultural Pride
The Tanakas have a lot of pride in their Japanese heritage. Satoru Tanaka made sure from an early age that Katsuo knew of his heritage and its customs. They are deeply rooted in their upbringing as well as their personal values. Some of these practices include:
Language. Katsuo's native language is Japanese. It is the language he speaks at home and to a select number of his peers. Night City has a thriving Japanese community and population. His English is also fluent and has a Western American accent.
Kimono & Yukata. On special occasions or cultural events, Katsuo wears traditional Japanese clothing, such as a kimono or yakata. His favorite colors to wear are dark ocean blue, silver, and black. Print designs usually have ocean waves and koi fish.
Traditional Decor. Katsuo's home in North Oak is a blend of both modern and traditional Japanese style architecture and decor. Some of these elements include: tatami mats, shoji screens, and minimalist design. The home maintains a serene and harmonious living space that reflects his cultural values.
Zen Garden. He has a small zen garden outside his bedroom where he practices meditation and rinds peace amidst the chaos of his demanding schedule. Meditation has helped him tackle even the hardest of daily obstacles.
Martial Arts. Katsuo has a love for martial arts. He has been traditionally trained in kung-fu, karate, and kendo. He has a collection of martial arts chipware, but training traditionally enhances its effectiveness. He is even a student instructor for ADS; the Arasaka Dojo Society.
Rakugo. Katsuo enjoys performing Rakugo, a form of Japanese comedy involving storytelling. He uses this talent at Arasaka cultural and corporate events, sharing both traditional stories from Japanese folklore that his father shared with him from a young age and stories about his own trials and tribulations of being an Arasaka executive's child. Arasaka employees love these shows, especially when the international executives visit.
Japanese Cuisine. Katsuo has a passion and huge pallet for Japanese cuisine, both cooking and dining. While he doesn't get to cook as much as he likes since he has a personal chef, but on non-business hours, he loves to attempt to prepare dishes that he finds online. He also loves visiting the top authentic Japanese restaurants Night City has to offer, or at least as authentic they can be with the meat ingredients they can serve. Sushi, tempura, and kaiseki are his favorites.
Workshops and Seminars. Within Arasaka, Katsuo organizes workshops and seminars to educate employees about Japanese culture, including traditonal arts, history, and contemporary practices.
