*sometimes they call Sun's good morning kisses "sunnydrops" because they're sweet and energizing like the candy (this flusters Sun to no end)

I think if Sparky met Spring and Spring started speaking in rhyme to her, she would just respond in rhyme as if it’s completely normal and I think she would vibe with them and enjoy the fact that they both have spring joints (bc Sparky used to be a lot more rubberhose inspired before I decided to give her bones)

Here comes the biggest lad around with an equally big heart! I love this big boy so much, i hope i gave him the justice he deserves since this is one of my first tries at doing a full colorful lineart look. No pens or inks used, just some good old markers and watercolor pencils.

The seamstress was a lady of great beauty and skill.

But unfortunately it wasn't her skills that paid the bills.

Any spider good at weaving webs would hope that's the part that attracts flies. But when you come in a certain shape, the web is only good for covering lies.

Ribs, waist, hips, legs - her body soon infested with eggs. And she felt, over a time: "This body is no longer mine."

But within her plight, from the dark of the night; a generous stranger came to her lane - and alas, set her poor little heart aflame.

Unlike any man or person she'd met thus far, for you see - it was no man at all.

Noticing her strain, the kind stranger made an offer of change. And the crafty seamstress would settle for nothing plain - being already dehumanized, an insectoid wouldn't feel strange.

To her predators, the seamstress would only be a beauty when they first met; so any man pushing over the line would end up quite dead.

And thus many of them would find themselves infested with flies instead.

Eventually she did run away with her mysterious stranger, leaving humanity behind.

And you'd find that the world of monsters can be surprisingly kind.

She however, was not. Not anymore.

Monkey Situationship

Back in 2022, I had a weird idea for a mashup piece involving the "Mouse of Might" (Mighty Mouse) as a storybook-styled ink digital illustration. I experimented with the idea in two different ink styles that I did on Photoshop and I adore how they both came out. I took a lot of influence from both Gustave Doré (Dante's Devine Comedy, Don Quixote) and John Tenniel (Alice In Wonderland, Judge) while trying to emulate the ink quill style for both versions.

Here's also a few sketches I've done last year (2023) while I was practicing on how to draw a few cats along these lines with Oil Can Harry being the main subject. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

It was honestly a bit of a challenge to figure out how to translate some of the cats in this style, especially from different Gothic influences I've been grabbing from 17th & 18th century literature. I wanted to both parody the individual source materials I would use as well as pay visual homage to them as well.

Someday, I will get around to doing the intended text and nursery rhyme format for the full-blown piece that I had in mind.

"You're shaking," Rufus muttered. He straightened the crown on Lambert's head; leaning in close. "Don't let them see you shake, Lamb. Not now. Not when you become king."

His hands curled into fists. They still shook, but he bit his lip and tried to do as his brother said. Lambert's eyes darted to where his mother stood alone in the crowd of nobles. Rufus turned his face back.

He wasn't smiling; there was little comfort to be found in his brother's eyes. They looked just as heavy as the crown felt. Yet, he still wrapped one of Lambert's fists between his larger hands. "You don’t have to find your voice today. I will take the weight from your shoulders for now, but it won't be forever. So keep your head up, and don't let your grief show."

Rufus stood once Duke Fraldarius' hands lifted from around his neck. The speech kept on, but Lambert didn't hear a word of it. Lifting his head, he ignored the unwelcome weight of the gold crown. Then, he wondered, briefly, if it was half as heavy as the regent's cape dragging down his brother's shoulders.
