#tracking people's patreon info is GROSS

Since I've had some people in my DMs asking about it, I'll talk real quick about these "trackers". So far, at least from what my CC distributing pals have told me, there have been no "program" trackers or any sort of tracker that adds or loads a file into your computer included in CC. At least that they know of. They obviously haven't figured out every tracking creator's secrets, nor do they understand everything that goes on with that. But I can (without revealing too much of what they know) share that most of the "tracking" involves sending out the same set of CC to multiple people but with different aspects of the files changed, such as certain bits of information within them, etc. So no, CC creators are not loading trojans, keyloggers, or any sort of malware onto your computers that we know of.
However, you are expecting people who already have proven they are willing to not respect a legally binding document (EA's TOU) to follow laws and privacy rules. So...will something of the sort ever be a possibility? I can't say "no" with any certainty. Because some of these creators are: - Underage (ex: I've seen creators say they're as young as 16, while running patreons taking money from the communty) - From countries that are more uh, relaxed with their views on the importance of internet privacy than the US currently is. - Prideful and think they're above the law. Since EA, and the community haven't majorly gotten onto them for their paywalling ways, they think they're immune and any action they take as a "creator" defending their content is justified, even if it invades the privacy of someone else. I would have sworn when I started this blog that nobody would ever call up my job to attempt to get me fired over the sims, but that's happened. So.../shrug But before anyone gets their knickers in a major twist worrying about trackers, just know that it doesn't involve malware...at least...not yet. :/ But if we don't address this shit now, and the "free sharing" of people's personal email addresses and patreon information, it could get worse. I mean, we've seen paywall/ad.f*y creators willingly link people to viruses, so...this isn't much of a step above that... By the way, here's a list of creators that have been confirmed or are at least HIGHLY SUSPECTED to track their shit, just so you can avoid them, since this behavior is stalky, gross, and privacy invasive: Cowbuild, HerMajestyBuilds, PinkboxAnye, Luxury Interior Living, THInterior, and Winner9.
About the big mistake I made..
First of all I am deeply sorry for what I did..
I took Patreon Exclusive stuff and shared it on the pirate group, which I tought couldn’t harm anyone.. But I feel so dumb and stupid because I care about the sims so much, It’s my therapy and I was always loyal to my pledges and now I did this one stupid thing and I never felt so disgusted by myself. To everyone I deeply appologise especially @cowbuild. I don’t excpect people to give me another chance but I want everyone to know that creators take so much time to make these beautiful items just exclusive for us, they’re humans too and I never wanted to hurt anyone. I hope one day I’ll get another chance, but I understand if not.. I think I will leave Tumblr for good. Thankyou for all the beautiful content they make! Thanks for being friends with me..
