This week (and likely the next two) will be ALL FLASHBACKS. Welcome to the B - D list of images where I thought I was too fat, my face looked weird, I was having an off day, or the picture wasn't feed-friendly/ impressive enough. This was a really, really tough day for me to get through, but I made it and topped it off with the @toxicbeauty.doc event at @notablelife. This is where I got my last big ole pre-social distancing hug from @coach.carey (who gives THE BEST hugs), got to meet @taniatonello who gave my world a little calm, and @styleconceptblog who makes me laugh and always grounds me in philosophical conversations about the universe and how it unfolds. • I also was gifted this "Cruelty-free, Vegan, Gluten Free, Toxic-Free, Paraben-Free, Ethically and Consciously Produced. For All Skin Types & Tones" lipgloss by @eviobeauty in "Brooke". I selected this colour because in first year university art imitated life with my rollercoaster of a year and @sophiabush's Brooke Davis shadowing my every move. I've since worn this buildable, dewy shade several times a week. I think it will remain a permanent fixture in my kit. I also got a couple of voice messages from @brandileifso (who I heard speak at the event) which meant so much to me. • All this to say that your day can be awful, but a few key people and experiences can turn it around. Let's reflect on images which stimulate memories of times when we were out socializing and being carefree in these times where we need to act responsibly for the greater good. It's not about "practicing kindness" per se, it's truly about respecting our elders and those who are perpetually at risk. I urge other content creators to post responsibly and go back to those B Team images that didn't make the cut before. We will ALL be better off for it.
