Some lovely photo’s of The Corin, in Tooting Broadway. Waterproof fabric that made these spectacular sets of curtains. Mock canopy’s to protect the tracks and eyeleted hems to hook to the floor to keep the curtains stable against the winds. A rooftop bar that is prepared for everything.

A real challenge, that was a collaboration with the client to work with the elements as we went.

A busy year where I have not felt the need to make myself visible on Social Media as well as losing my way too! So to follow on from where I have left off is the “waterproof curtains” A club in Tooting Broadway has taken the roof off the old building and turned into a roof garden. A venue with a real vision of what customers need in a city environment. And amid the hullabalooo of Tooting is an anomaly of design, comfort and jazz. Blankets cushions and now curtains to still be “outdoors” when it is lashing down with rain. One Curtain sits on a 6 metres track that is an apex with the electronic roof. An 12 width curtain glides back and forth, depending on the weather. And a 6 width straight “normal” curtain sits on a 3 metre track. Innovative idea’s have included a mock canopy to keep the tracks protected as well as stop some rain blowing over. Eyelets in the bottom of the curtains as to tie them down to carabiner hooks screwed to the wooden decking.
