AU where before Aemond dies, he curses Lucerys to be immortal. Lucerys was long dead before the end of the war but his soul is viciously ripped from the afterlife and his family as he is forced to live an eternal life alone.

A resurrected Lucerys, his memories intact, roaming the earth for thousands of years with no clue on why he never seems to age. He’s tried to search for answers and kept hoping the rest of his family would come back too but they never do.

When he finally meets Aemond, he’s lonely and desperate. He’s delighted to reunite with the man.

Never mind that his uncle was his own killer.

Lucerys and Aemond eventually get into a relationship and Lucerys falls hopelessly in love with his uncle. Even more so when he finds out Aemond doesn’t age.

Immortality sucks and if given the chance, Lucerys would choose to die to reunite with the family that he’s missed so much but with Uncle Aemond, eternal life is easier to bear.

He never finds out it was his uncle who cursed him into this dreadful life and Aemond is all too happy to keep his nephew right by his side. For all eternity.
