Imagine the headcanon: MC getting tutored by the third years 🥰 cause she was thrown into second year level classes with no prior knowledge about anomalies or anything else… and she’s constantly supervising all the houses on missions so she probably doesn’t have much time to study…

I think Subaru would make the best tutor! As a Darkwick lapdog, he’s knowledgeable about the subjects, can break down the concepts easily, and is super patient if you don’t understand something! I could also see Subaru getting out his old second year notes and textbooks to make sure he remembered everything. Also, he offered to help originally lol

Haku would be knowledgeable, but I feel like he’d be more passive in your studies… like you could ask him a question and he’d answer, but that would kind of the the extent of his teaching. Good if you were stuck on a homework problem.

Zenji would be enthusiastic to help, but I’m not sure all his answers would make sense. He also strikes me as being knowledgeable in maybe one or two subjects, then maybe not others…?

It’s canon that Jin helped Tohma was his studies, so I think he’d help you too… but given his apparent mood shift, I think he’d help by answering a homework question or getting Tohma to be a more active tutor for you.

Tohma has a canon event saying he’d quiz the MC periodically, but he’s honestly too busy to be a proper tutor. He would also be more judgmental if you don’t know something.

If you asked Alan for help, he wouldn’t even try to deny that he probably wouldn’t be the best fit… if it’s practical stuff, like combat, he could probably give you pointers… but it’s canon that he isn’t very textbook smart…

Haru is willing to help… but he’s so busy! I don’t even know if he still attends classes or not cause he’s so wrapped up with the animals…

Taiga, on a good day, might answer a homework question if you phrase it properly, but he doesn’t strike me as someone interested in textbook whatnot.

Romeo would be very judgmental of the questions you ask. He’d probably tell you to study harder after asking how you could be so dumb.

Ed is knowledgeable… but he’s doesn’t attend classes and his memory seems spotty. He probably would be willing to chill with you as you did homework, but may occasionally point out how pointless it is…

Rui would be willing to help, but he also isn’t one to attend classes, at least not anymore… you could sit with him at the bar and he’d occasionally come back to check in on you as he catered to other customers.
