Hello out there! I took the last month off social media to focus on my health. If someone had told me 2 months ago that today I would be able to cycle the Guild Wheel, I'd have laughed and said not a chance. Well, I did it! There were a couple of quick rest stops, a toilet break at Brockholes and walking a couple of small hills I knew my hip wouldn't cope with, but I did it! My phone crashed so recorded it in 2 sections on Google Fit. The 13/5 mile marker is my start and finish point as I live near it 😊 Very proud of myself! Just when I thought I was on the mend 😩 I caught my scar while getting ready for bed so checked it for damage... to discover there is a hard lump under the skin and further down is a hole! It's the bit that took an extra week to heal up (or at least I thought it had healed!) And would explain why I feel permanently tired with almost daily migraines and why the swelling seemed to get worse! 21 days post op, Mummys hip is looking good! Except the fluff from the plaster 😂 There is still one little bit not healing like the rest which is why she is keeping it covered! She has almost complete numbness around the incision, expect that little bit!
