meet CASIMIR RADOSLAW ZABEK, he has been living in milton for fifteen years and is generally known around town for being dedicated and temperamental. the twenty one year old, is apparently a youtuber but you didn’t hear that from me. when i think of him i think of: splatters of blood on ice, skulls drawn on a fogged up window, the beads of a rosary biting into your palm despite knowing god will never take you. - timothee chalamet, cismale, he/him as written by pepper, 23, est, she/her.

ABOUT THE MUN. id like to formally apologize for calling everything sexy. it seems i have forgotten every other word that could express that i like something.

hello all, it’s me, ya gurl pepper. as the kids say... what is UP kyle! i usually like to start these things with a bit about me but god i feel like y’all already know too much about me already i skjsjk revealed it all in that groupchat but omg okay lemme think. i am 5′6 and the shortest person in my family and everyone makes fun of me for it. i don’t drink so every time i write my muses drunk it’s a whole mess. i can’t cook but i love to eat. i am in love with both stiles stilinski and rory sutton brady. i love to rollerblade but the one time i did the rollerblades highkey cut into my skin so i’ve never done it again. i am a big marvel and like general superhero nerd but i’m not proud of it cause disney really let me down sdkjsdjk okay that’s it i think onto cass stuff now!

BIO. *removes one earbud* the fuck you want

cass was born and raised in poland to parents who honestly never really cared for him. like it wasn’t that they were particularly cruel to him or anything, they just didn’t like him. they barely bothered with him most days, generally leaving cass to his own devices when they could or with friendly neighbours. cass pretty much grew up raised by those polish grandmothers who stand on their balcony’s to look out and see the gossip, but he was always pretty okay with that like he never knew any different. until he did.

when cass was six he and his parents took a trip to america and milton to visit his grandfather. you see, his grandfather and grandmother came to america for their retirement around the time that cass was about two. they settled down in milton and quickly became the eccentric foreign couple. the zabeks. everyone loved them. but then cass’ grandmother died. and his grandfather fucking cyrofreezed her ass and shoved her in the shed like a psycho.

so basically they were coming for the funeral but the funeral was just them all looking at his grandmother’s frozen body in his grandads fucking shed like she was an exhibit at a museum. it was weird. like really weird. but so was grandpa zabek so no one really questioned it. cass just remembers thinking that he couldn’t wait to get out of there.

he never did. his parents fucking left him there. just like that.

they literally said they were just going over to the next town for some dry ice for the grandma zabek popsicle and they never. fucking. came. back.

so cass was stuck here. with his crazy psycho drunk of a grandpa. and a grandma who was quickly getting freezer burn. and a town full of weird ass people. he was living the dream.

but then things got weirder. the towns people, who were also psychos, like fucking loved it?? like they were way too into it. based a whole town tradition on the whole thing. and that wasn’t it, no, pretty soon they were attracting tourists. to their little fucking house, or more specifically, the shed in the back. cass has vivid memories of leading curious people out there, bringing them into the dark shed and just pulling down the little light switch to a bunch of oohs and aahs. people were fucking crazy. and cass learned that pretty quickly. he was jaded at a very young age.

but it didn’t stop there. oh no. so before grandpa zabek was a drunk psycho guy he was an olympic figure skating coach. and so guess what he forced his grandson to do for bonding?? fucking ballet. fucking figure skating. cass never really had a bit of a choice honestly, the moment his grandfather figured out he had a talent he was pretty much set on training cass up for the olympics. and honestly, the moment that cass figured out that he was actually good, and could actually fucking beat people, well. he was pretty into it. like honestly cass has always been pretty into knives, and like having knives on your shoes?? hardcore.

so for most of cass’ life that was it. going to school and barely passing. ice skating after school, and before. showing off grandma for money whenever they had a couple tourists in town. the zabek household was always people’s weird small town stop on their crosscountry road trips. some asshole even did a whole article about them once, and that just blew things up further. prick. if cass ever finds him he’ll take out his kneecaps.

honestly cass was always pretty much a loner in school? got into a lot of fights, caused a lot of mayham. think patrick verona in ten things i hate about you. that was cass’ energy. he had like maybe three friends total and he was pretty okay with that.

anyways, so after years of training and figure skating and ballet training, like yes literally ballet training, cass is pretty much all ready for the olympics. he and his grandad are about to go through the whole fucking process and guess what the old man’s dumbass does?? tries to rob a bank in the city to pay for the various olympic things they need. gets his ass arrested of course. like an idiot.

cass was sixteen at the time, and royally pissed about it but well. what can you do. so cass goes back to town, no medal, no nothing but his broken up feet to show for it all, and honestly kind of depressed and scared like ??? he didn’t know what he was going to do without his grandpa and he certainly didn’t want to go to foster care. but then the weirdest thing happens. the town takes care of him.

cass didn’t ask for it of course. cass will die before asking for help. but he didn’t have to. just like that random ladies were coming to his house with casseroles for lunch, and dinner, and breakfast. people were double checking to make sure cass’ ass was going to class because he still had to graduate. some random ladies from his ballet studio even came with him to his grandfather’s hearing.

it was weird honestly?? cass has never really gotten that level of support, not even from his grandfather, but it was big gilmore girls energy. the whole town rallied around him as if cass was just an angry, violent little rory gilmore after a heartbreak. and honestly he was grateful for it, although he’d never say it. he feels a certain level of debt to them honestly, so you can pretty much always lowkey catch cass helping an old lady clean out her gutters or like helping some random suburban mom paint over the side of her house. helping out at one of the stores when someone is short staffed. that kind of stuff.

he still has the family business though and that covers the bills. every once and a while cass is over charging some suckers to see a dead lady and he’s chill with it. honestly he’s gotten so used to it that he actually talks to frozen grandma zabek like it’s nothing sdkjdsjk like honestly he lives by himself and he’s lonely so he’s always like ‘wow, look at the fuckin’ haul this time around babcia... with all this i can buy you a new dress or something...put it over your cube... just kidding, i’m spending this shit on a new board, sorry’ sdkdsjkan

but to bring in extra money cass does youtube, something he kind of stumbled into honestly?? like cass is really good at video games, and he really likes them so honestly someone probably just uploaded a video playing video games once (cause cass wouldn’t do it himself so wanted connection i guess if anyone is willing to like be friends with this boy) and like it blew up?? and cass realized he could make a whole ass career based off of this?? so that’s what he did??? he makes videos of him playing games and just getting super pissed when he loses or messes up and people LOVE IT!! he probably goes by halo online because he doesn’t want people to find him. also will occassionally post videos of him skateboarding. honestly is really popular on line, like maybe not p*wdiepie level but maybe markiplier or ksi idk gamer youtubers guys but he’s up there. has never been to playlist live or anything like that though because he is not a people person sdkdsj but someone force him to go i feel like it would be fun

oof and that’s it i think ! a long ride but thank you for getting to the end

PERSONALITY. i may seem like an angry person on the surface but deep inside i’m angrier.

and that’s it that’s his personality thanks for coming out.

BLUNT. no but aside from being generally grumpy at all times cass is just so honest most of the time, like he straight up does not lie for the most part because he doesn’t see the point?? says what he wants no matter how rude. kind of a dick but it’s not as much that he’s trying to be it’s just that he never goes out of his way to be nice unless he really, really likes you.

TACTLESS. cass does not have a suave or like ??? persuasive bone in his body?? again he just says what he wants?? actually super like useless with an actual crush??? the kind of person who had a crush on someone as a kid and wrote them a little note that was like ‘get out of my school’ yk dsksd very mean to his crushes, will tease you mercilessly and get flustered and yeet at any reciprocation?? he doesn’t know what to do tf ??

DEDICATED. god, cass is like resilient and also so freaking ambitious and determined when he wants something?? unfortunately the olympics and like skating didn’t work out but he put his blood sweat and tears into that and whenever he finds what else he wants to do he will put that same energy into that too.

TEMPERMENTAL. it is so easy to piss cass off, but if it’s the right person it’s also really easy to make him laugh. like he hates most people, but his mood can be like so easily changeable. one second he’s laughing the next he’s punching some guy in the face. i’m making him sound kind of unhinged and sometimes he is but most of the time he’s chill.

CONFLICTING. god cass doesn’t say what he means sometimes, which kind of conflicts with him being blunt but like??? at any sign of affection cass is like NO LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE when he really wants someone to stay around like skjdsj he’s got big tsundere energy sometimes and i hate it. very bad at apologizing, very bad at like admitting when he’s wrong, very bad at like receiving or reciprocating affection unless it’s the right person because his parents and grandfather never hugged him sdkjsd

DESTRUCTIVE. literally the type to like to set things on fire sdkjsdj obsessed with bonfire nights cause he can just burn things. will explode things for fun on his youtube channel occasionally. like big chaotic aries energy people.

FUN FACTS *covers up real feeling with aggressive sarcasm*

polish is his first language and he mostly learned english through tv and video games. he has a knack for languages as well, like he can pick them up fairly easily, but he’s honestly better with his body. has a thick ass polish accent though and he probably used to get teased for it when he was younger but anyone who would tease him for it would get their ass beat so skjdsjk was it worth it??

one smacked a guy with his skateboard so hard it straight snapped in half. that’s the level of aggression we’re coming with today.

was raised catholic, and is still kind of a god fearing boy. still goes to church like religiously despite his grandfather not being around. will wear a pressed white button down and then someone will point out there’s like blood on the collar dskjdsj *cass vc* oh fuck

lives in hoodies about a size too big for him, the colour black and combat boots. general angry and all the adults in town are like casimir sweetie you should wear something bright it’ll make you look like less of a ghost and like half of them get the finger for it which results in a smack upside the head for your boy.

very competitive. like incredibly competitive. cass needs to win or he’ll die basically.

bisexual as all hell. is kind of tentative about it because ??? will god hate him ??? but he is attracted to both men and women and he’s pretty sure god hates him already so

absolutely adores video game apps. has like a thousand on his phone, and is constantly idly playing them, lie whenever cass has nothing to do he’s playing video games

has a skateboard, tends to ride it like everywhere. catch cass riding through town either smoking or vaping, squeezing in the gaps between people and causing chaos. it’s his vibe.

a dog person BIG TIME! has a big lovable white dog named snieg and he loves her, she is the only roommate he ever wants to have and he is kissing her constantly sdkjdsk catch cass only smiling at this dog ever tbh

sleep talks and sleep walks especially when he’s stressed. cass will walk into the middle of the street asleep honestly which is exactly why he should never move to the city.

also smokes when he’s stressed. smokes a lot of weed, might even experiment with some other stuff while he’s partying because yeah his body was a temple but now?? fuck it sdkjds

like i said his grandpa was highkey the town drunk. cass had to drag him out of bars regularly and like bring him home and he also literally like climbed on top of like town square drunk af on like christmas day sdkjsdj * cass vc * gET DOWN YOU OLD FUCK!!! IF YOU DIE I’LL BLOW YOUR LIFE INSURANCE ON HOOKERS!! sdkjdsk so yeah basically the zabeks were chaotic but lowkey cass misses his grandfathers drunk ass he visits him in prison like once a month.

an EX because i always love that kind of stuff. cass is the worst at relationships but he is always all in emotionally. it probably would have been a lot of fighting and arguing but also good when it was good honestly we can plot it out.

Can you believe here we are again? Because I can’t, and yet here we are - We’ve just reached 200 followers! I never thought we’ve get even 50 followers, just for you all to come here and surprise me like this… I’m honestly so thankful for all of you. Thanks for giving us this chance, to me as a writer and to Chisaki as a character, to show what we can do. Thanks for the awesome threads, the great comments, the asks, the replies and reblogs, for lurking around and liking our content – I’m just so grateful to all the amazing people we’ve met here and on Discord, and to those we don’t know quite as well but still show up on our notes and follows; thank you for supporting us through it all in these two months.

Yes, two months! It both seems like the blog has been going on for much more than that and for only a couple days. And yet those were two emotional months, full of wonderful things and not so great things, and I’m so thankful for the roleplaying community for staying with us through that. So many times coming here was what made my day – what made me smile, what made me laugh and forget the outside problems just a little. So many times I’ve been proud of the things my partners reached, what they wrote, what they survived through. You’re all incredible people, and I’m so glad to have met you all. I’m proud of all of you personally for everything you’ve achieved so far – and do know that I’ll keep having my faith in all of you that we can do so much more than that.

It is to these people, my dear partners, that I dedicate this follow forever most of all. It doesn’t matter how much I write or how I write if you’re not here to do it with me – to talk about our muses, to let them develop and grow in these relationships, to let our own relationships bloom into the budding friendships we have now. 1. If you had to change yourcharacter’s FC for one day, who would you pick?

I use an alt fc for him already for my Trek verse, and that’s Eoin Macken, so that would be my choice.

3. What’s something you like abouthow you write?

How to make this not pretentious–um, so I’m a literature student in college right now, so my writing background is formal papers, like a LOT of formal papers. So I’m pretty happy with my syntax and recently I’ve been buffing up on my vocab because I’m a word nerd so I’m also pretty pleased with my diction right now.

5. What’s something about yourcharacter that you’d like if you had to spend time with them?

I like that he’s very loyal–that he forms very deep and very lasting connections quickly even if he doesn’t show them. Like if he meets you and decides he likes you, he will probably risk his life for you even if you just met that day.

I enjoy writing his pride. It gets in the way so often and its interesting to see how it rears its head in even the strangest of interactions. More often than not, it breaks him.

9. What’s a difference you havewith your character?

Killian is flirtatious and bold as a defense mechanism, I am absolutely not.

11. Do you think you’ve gottenbetter at writing anything or any type of thing or situation since you startedwriting this character (or roleplaying in general)?

I’m getting better at trying new styles. I experimented with a new style for my first Milah thread, actually, and I’m really proud of how it went. It challenges me to think inside his head rather than adjacent to it.

13. Do you write fiction ever otherthan rping?

Ah, so yes and no. Yes in that I fart around in a notebook fairly regularly, small vignettes and the like, I’ve written short stories for lit mags on campus too and gotten some published that way. But, I come from a family of writers, so I don’t really write like they do and I don’t really want to–and that’s the no part.

15. Do you like or dislike OC/Canoncharacter interactions in principle?

I’m very neutral to them.

17. What’s something you dislikeabout rping a canon character?

With Killian (and OUAT especially) there is a lot to consider when writing him. The canon changes and takes new very unexpected paths often and that’s often challenging to incorporate into an established hc.

19. What’s something you dislikeabout rping an original character?

Not enough to work with. I like to have a box or a frame to start with, and when I don’t I feel like I’m a bad copy of a canon character or I’m not developed enough.

21. Do you think about your threadsand your character when you aren’t roleplaying? How and for how long onaverage?

Gee, yeah. Um, maybe a total of like 2 hours each day–like spread out, it’s like little things that pop into my head where I’m like “this would be so neat for this thread!”

All of them. I am an AU trashcan. Give me your tired, your poor…The wretched refuse of your teeming shore– Give me ALL THE AU because I will accept you with wide and open arms.

It’s not really AU–but Neverland. I really don’t like writing Neverland.

27. What’s a ship you would neverrp? For what reason?

HookFire - that’s, like, incest, y’all! Pan/Hook - shocker, but the Killian mun isn’t a big Pan fan (love the Pan & Hook interactions though, they’re fun).

oh shit. nothing.

I feel like there’s no plot sometimes? But that’s NOT often, I’ve been really lucky and blessed with my fluff rp partners.

There’s not enough external plot. I mean in real relationships there needs to be a balance in attention between romance and life and I feel like ship threads occasionally tread into being solely about the ship, and that’s not always interesting.

Well, seeing as I somehow end up with novella length replies no matter how hard I try to make them short, I guess I prefer those.

I can’t keep my replies short. They lack sufficient time for exposition. They remind me of text conversations and if you ever text with me you’d know how much I hate those. There’s so much potential in the negative space–the silence–if you will, that you can’t get with short replies.

I make them too long. I just keep going.

Music if I’m feeling it or can with my surroundings. Not always. I write replies basically anywhere, though. At home, at work, in class, at practice. You name it, I’ve probably written a thread there.

1. i’m a huge video game nerd. been around this shitty life since 1998 and totally proud of it, because honestly? video games are way better than some people i know.

2. if you ask me to pick a favorite book, i’ll probably go on bluescreen mode because i can’t pick just one. but some of my favorites are Alice in Wonderland, Lord of the Rings, Guardians of Childhood and Harry Potter.

Naruto scratched his chin in thought. “To be honest… I really enjoy this wild ass show called The 100. Ever heard of it?”

Sasuke rolled his eyes. “Now you got him going…”

“Shut up teme!” Naruto scolded. “It’s great! You know you like it too!”

“I don’t,” Sasuke promised, though Naruto talked over him.

“So, it’s this wild adventure of these kids who get basically thrown into the most awful situation you could ever imagine. They have to fight these grounders, which are–” He cut himself off and inhaled a composing breath to quell his excitement. “Let me start from the beginning. 100 years ago–”

“Oh my god!” Sasuke complained. “There’s a space station. They drop these delinquent kids onto a totally fucked up, apocalyptic earth. Alotta people die. The space station crashes and then EVERYONE ends up on earth. MORE people die. That’s literally it. People die. A lot.”

Naruto pouted and crossed his arms. “That’s not it. It’s very complex,” Naruto argued.

“He only likes it for the gay couple,” Sasuke informed.

“Hey! I like it for the fighting and the action and the kickass plot too,” Naruto insisted.

“You cry every time someone dies,” Sasuke pointed out.

Naruto’s eyes start to water as he recalled the many tragic losses. “Well, unlike you, I get invested in people’s well-being!”

Sasuke just rolled his eyes. “Let me make this easy. Naruto is a fanboy of super fucked up shit, like really dark shit, and he cries every time something bad happens, which is stupid, because he picks literally the darkest shit you could fucking find. There’s this other show, The Magicians.–”

“Oh lord!” Naruto wails, throwing his hands up emotionally. “The pain!”

Sasuke hurriedly continued before Naruto could run off on that tangent too. “It’s also really fucked up. I mean a woman gets raped by a god after her friends are murdered literally right in front of her, and she sacrificed herself to this rape to save her other friend, who ends up a heroin addict, and then later the two are hunting down a child to literally murder it, and… it’s just really fucked up…”

“She deserved so much more!” Naruto said loudly. “SO. MUCH. MORE.”

At this point, Sasuke was kind of smirking. “Let’s just say, if there’s fucked up shit, Naruto’s into it. Also, he really likes powerful female characters. If you ever catch him at a convention, you can bet he’ll be running around looking for the most badass women to fanboy over.”

“Ain’t no shame in that,” Naruto said confidently. “Badass women rule my heart.” He shrugged. “That’s another reason why The 100–”

Sasuke didn’t want to get caught in this trap. He interjected, “I think he’s obsessive over apocalyptic stuff because of all the trauma he thinks he suffered through as a kid…”

Naruto lowkey glared at Sasuke. He was partially annoyed, but also kind of hurt traveling down that path. He chose to call Sasuke out instead.

“Okay! Well, let’s talk about what Sasuke likes,” he began, a mischievous glint in his eyes. Sasuke paled. “Sasuke likes blatantly romantic shit! I once caught him watching How I Met Your Mother and–”

Sasuke reached to cover Naruto’s mouth. The blond countered though, pushing him away and struggling to get the words out as they tousled.

“–and– crying when– Marshall’s dad– dies–” Naruto broke away from Sasuke and stated excitedly, “He’s so invested in Ted and Robin! He WAILED when Robin and–”

Sasuke jumped and caught him in headlock. “Shut up dobe! Shut up now!”

“Hey!” Naruto struggled, but he kept going. “He’s in tears when he thinks about Robin and Barney betraying Ted with their love! He is also SO IN LOVE with Ted! It’s so cute!”

Sasuke hollered. “That’s not true! I only watch stuff like Supernatural and Ghost Hunters!”

“Then why are you choking me to death!” Naruto argued, laughing hysterically as he tried to wedge himself free.

“I like Mythbusters!” Sasuke insisted.

Naruto just cackled uncontrollably. “He LOVES everything Nicolas Sparks ever wrote!”

“Naruto’s a Harry Potter nerd!” Sasuke countered, his face turning red.

“And proud of it!” Naruto added.

Sasuke huffed and let Naruto go, turning his back and running a stressed hand through his hair. “I’m leaving…”

//OOC: I had a lot of fun with that :3 I imagine Naruto legit really enjoys strong female characters, which The 100 has a lot of. I think he would be into dark stuff because he sometimes just needs to wallow in that pity of how awful the world can be, but he is unable to acknowledge that in the real world and still keep a grip on his positive attitude, so he seeks it out in fictional settings. Definitely loves Harry Potter. Loves magical, sci-fi, fantasy stuff. Also, he would totally love anime. He’d be the type to make up a dance to the opening sequence and cosplay all of his favorite characters and enter every cosplay contest he can, even if his costume sucks, just for the camaraderie of it all.

Sasuke, on the other hand, totally has a guilty pleasure for sappy shit. He deeply denies any need for affection, so he seeks that out in other ways. He loves romantic comedies. He writes fanfiction under an alias and constantly gets into debates about the true motives of characters in online groups. He reads manga rather than watching anime, but not often. I think he would love the fuck outta some yaoi, but not for the sexual/romantic aspect but just for the normalizing of intimacy between men, which was something he never received in his youth. Since he had very few women in his life, he grew up simply craving male affection since all of his main people were men. So he hates the idea that it’s taboo for men to seek emotional support. This lowkey is why he is asexual/aromantic. Also, huge Sherlock fan, and just general mystery/crime/detective shit. Also all about destroying gender norms and seeks out plots that showcase marginalized characters and minorities.

Trouble Magnet Gambit Ch2

~Chapter 2: Gambit Roulette~

“This is history in the making, rina!” Netalina cried out proudly.

“When you really think about it, this is pretty silly,” Smile drawled.

“Oh, come now, Smile! Show a little support, rina! This is a very momentous occasion, rina! Right, Jizo?!” The Batan Q nodded and hummed in agreement.

What they were witnessing was Urien scootching over to a black cat sitting next to a wall. The alien Yokai claimed he had never touched a cat in his life, and he was determined to try, despite his issues with touch. As Urien became closer and closer to the cat, Netalina and Jizo were giving silent cheers while Smile looked a bit embarrassed. He was smiling too, though.

Urien held his hand out towards the small, black creature, his hand visibly shaking. His mind went blank as his hand finally came in contact with the cat’s soft, fluffy fur. Despite Urien still jittering nervously, the cat allowed itself to be pet and gave a soft purr and a meow as Urien pet it on the head. He drew back slowly and the cat rubbed up against his legs before going off on its merry way.

“I pet a cat!” Urien cried victoriously. “I did it! Guys, I did it! I pet a cat! That was so awesome!”

“Congratulations, rina!!” Netalina hopped and clapped as Urien ran over to Jizo and gave him a big hug. Smile snickered a bit, but he was proud of Urien as well.

“Good job, kid,” he started, “if you keep it up like that, then you’ll be able to get over your fear in no time.”

“Thanks, Smile!” Urien piped up, nuzzling up to Jizo’s belly.

“Anyway, I want to head to Banter Bakery to buy some bread. If you want, I’ll buy some cream bread for you, Netalina.” Smile flicked his tail.

“Hmm...OK! In the meantime, I’ll head to the Cafe, rina!”

Smile and Netalina head off to their destinations, leaving Urien and Jizo alone.

“Mm...if they’re doing that, let’s go buy some burgers, Jizo! Maybe I can buy some seafood curry at Belly Buster Curry for Smile. In return for getting me sushi. You can stay outside.”

“Alright, kyuu.” The Batan Q gave Urien a shy but caring smile.

As the duo headed off to MogMog Burger, they came across an Ittangomen that was scanning the ground for something. Urien jumped a bit. It’d been a while since he’d seen an Ittangomen aside from Smile, and he was no longer used to the fact that most Ittangomen were smaller than he was.

“Look at that Ittangomen, Jizo. He’s so small...at least compared to Smile!”

“I suppose, kyuu. When you get used to something, seeing a variation of it can be jarring, kyuu.”

The Ittangomen shot upwards and turned to face them. In no time flat he was up in Urien’s face.

“Hi there! Whoa, you’re a U.S.O., right?! I’ve never met a U.S.O. before! So is that a costume or is it what you really look like?! I mean, you have a zipper on your back, right?! Are you hiding out?! Can I see?! Ooh, what do your eyes look like?! Can I take off your glasses and see?!” The Ittangomen bombarded Urien with questions and began to inspect his arm and back before attempting to pry his sunglasses off.

“STOP!!! PLEASE DON’T TOUCH ME!!!” Urien screamed, pushing the Ittangomen away. The U.S.O. stumbled backwards as his anxiety flared up and he nearly fainted. Thankfully, Jizo was there to catch him.

“Oh!! Sorry, so sorry! That was my fault, I’m so sorry! I wasn’t trying to be rude, honest! I’m so sorry!” The Ittangomen clapped his hands together in apology and bowed down. “I got too excited! You’re not hurt, are you?! I’m sorry!”

“Mmf...” Urien groaned a little as Jizo rubbed his shoulders. He needed his space and a bit of quiet...which wasn’t happening as the Ittangomen assaulted them with more questions. When he felt he was being ignored, he piped up again.

“I...I’m sorry! He’s OK, right?! I didn’t hurt him, right?! I’m sorry!”

“Shhh...” Jizo gently placed a finger on his lips. “He’ll need a while to recover, but he should be fine, kyuu. He doesn’t like to be touched by strangers, kyuu. Just be patient...and lower your voice, kyuu.”

“Oh...I’m really sorry, grandpa. I’ll be quieter now.” Jizo flinched a bit upon being called “grandpa”. He was much older than Urien, as well as this Ittangomen, but he wasn’t THAT old. Or so he thought.

“I’m not his grandfather, kyuu. I’ve been around for a long time, but I don’t think I’m that old, kyuu.” Jizo himself was beginning to lock up due to the Ittangomen’s presence.

“Sorry, so sorry. I’ve just never seen a Yokai with a beard before, so I assumed...a-anyway, what kind of Yokai are you? I’d like to think I’ve seen all the Yokai I can--for the most part--but I’ve never seen one like you.” The Ittangomen was having trouble keeping his voice low and seemed just about ready to start yelling again. At the very least, he seemed legitimately sorry.

“Batan Q,” Urien wheezed as he got back to his feet. His vision was still hazy, but overall he was OK. “P-please don’t do that again. A-at least, not until I know you better.”

“Oh...sorry, so sorry.” He flicked his tail nervously before getting closer again. “You’re OK, right? Um...what’s your name? My name’s Gambit.”

“Urien,” Urien responded before instinctively pushing himself further into Jizo’s belly. “Urien Sirius Okuro. Urien for short. Uri for shorter. But you can just call me Urien. A-and...he’s Jizo. N...nice to meet you, Gambit...may I please ask you give me my personal space back?”

“Oh! Sorry, so sorry!” Gambit held up his hands defensively as he backed off. His expression showed legitimate concern. “Really, I am. I didn’t mean to scare you like that. You’re OK, right?”

“I’ll feel much better in time. Oh, Jizo...I think we should head off and find the others, we’ve spent too much time here. Should we go look for Smile? Or Nettles?” Urien sighed a bit in exasperation when he realized that Jizo had essentially shut down and wasn’t ready to respond to anyone. “OK, OK...I’ll go find Smile. You find Nettles, OK? When you can.”

“Ooh, are you meeting with your friends? I like friends! Where are you meeting? What types of Yokai are they? Can I come with you? Please, please, please? I promise I won’t yell again, pretty please? I really wanna meet your friends!”

While Gambit remained relatively quiet, his constant prattling was starting to wear Urien’s patience a bit thin. He did his best not to shoo the Ittangomen away. As Gambit continued to beg and talk a million miles per hour, a Roughraff suddenly showed up and poked him in the back with a toy knife. That put a cease to his chattering, but caused Urien to press himself even further against Jizo to the point where he was practically hidden by the Batan Q’s pliable body.

“Yo. Gimme your muns. Or maybe, youse could gimme that scarf you have there. What’ll it be, pancake?” Gambit glared down at the Roughraff, which hardly affected the gecko-like Yokai. He turned around fully to face the Roughraff and tightly wound his tail around his neck, lifting him up to his face.

“Well, aren’t you rude?! Can’t you see we’re having a conversation here?! You just come out of nowhere and try to mug us?! And what’s this you’re using, a Playdoh knife?! Ha! You must be the worst gangster in the world if you think that’ll hurt me! You wanna pick a fight with me?! Use your FISTS! I got four of them RIGHT HERE! Try me, you gecko nerd!”

“Alright, alright!” The Roughraff struggled his way out of Gambit’s grip and fell to the ground panting. “Oy! Youse is so ANNOYING! I don’t want your stuff no more! I’m blowing this popsicle stand!”

With that, he ran off, leaving the three Yokai by themselves.

“Well, that just sort of happened, I wasn’t even involved in that,” Urien murmured. His personal space was once again invaded by Gambit, and Urien was now entirely enveloped by Jizo’s stomach as if it were a massive beanbag.

“Hey! Hey! I was really awesome right now, wasn’t I?! I totally saved you two! Now you owe me a favor! And what I want you to do is...let me meet your friends! Now you have to take me with you! No take backs!”

Gambit rapidly wagged his tail, his face beaming. Both Urien and Jizo were growing tired of Gambit’s antics, but didn’t say anything out of politeness. As planned earlier, Jizo headed off to the cafe while Urien and Gambit headed towards Banter Bakery.

Once they had arrived, Urien ran up to Smile, who was chatting with another Yokai he’d never seen before.

“Smile! Smile! Who’s this? He’s real cool looking! Hiya! My name is Urien Sirius Okuro! But you can call me Urien!” Smile’s comforting presence brought Urien’s mood back up and he was once again his usual happy self.

“Ah, there you are, Urien! This is Tezca. He’s a Miradox,” Smile responded, gesturing to Tezca.

“Heh heh heh...! Reveal! Greetings, young one! A pleasure to meet you! Smile has told me about you!” Urien began to blush as Gambit finally caught up with the U.S.O., causing Tezca to shut his doors.

“Wow, Urien, you can run REALLY fast! Oh! This is Smile?! You didn’t tell me he was an Ittangomen too! Wow, he’s so big! How did you get so big, Smile?! You’re the biggest Ittangomen I’ve ever seen!”

“Slow down, kid,” Smile replied casually. “I guess we both made new friends today, huh, Urien?”

“Uh, I guess so!” Urien looked nervous. “His name is Gambit!”

Gambit immediately took one of Smile’s hands and shook it furiously.

“Yep, that’s me! I’m Gambit! It’s nice to meet you, Smile!” Gambit’s boundless energy made Smile tired, just like with Urien and Jizo, but overall he had still managed to keep his cool.

“Nice to meet you, too. Urien, I think maybe it’s time to head home. The sun’s starting to set. Can you go get Jizo and Netalina?”

“Ooh! Ooh! I know what Jizo looks like! I can totally find him for you! Can I do that?! Please?! I really wanna help! Ooh, and I’d love to meet Netalina, too! Urien, your friends are really cool!” Gambit had gotten up in the bigger Ittangomen’s face, who now had an unamused expression.

“Knock yourself out, kid,” Smile responded. Aside from being rather overwhelming, Gambit didn’t seem to want to do any harm, so Smile decided that it would be OK for him to go find the others. The smaller Ittangomen rocketed into the air excitedly and took off towards Downtown. “He has a lot of energy, doesn’t he? He kind of reminds me of you. He makes me tired just watching him.”

“He makes me tired, too. Wait, do you feel that way about me?” Urien asked.

“Sometimes,” Smile drawled.

“I’m so sorry,” was all Urien replied with. At this moment, Tezca had slowly opened his doors again and sighed.

“Ugh...that Ittangomen is really annoying. Some of the local Yokai know of him because of his...friendliness,” Tezca spoke in a low voice. “Perhaps it would be unwise to have him follow you. Although, that’s just what I think. I don’t have the patience to deal with him.”

“Well...guess we better go and meet up with him and the others,” Urien sighed.
