Here’s Grimmshaw “Sr”, Griswalda’s deceased father and her adoptive uncle, Torngasak.

Grimmshaw Sr

He's a Tundra Grimm and Griswalda's deceased father.

He was 200 years old when he died, he's a man, and he's gay. 

Despite his serious expression, this old man’s a softie. He’s a real joker, kind, calm, and a little bit of a worrywart. He’s very protective of his family and isn’t against using violence to protect them.

Despite that, he’d prefer not to fight. Much like his daughter, he will only fight if necessary.

He loves painting. He did many landscapes and portraits throughout his life. In his old age, most of his paintings were of his beloved daughter.

He always referred to Griswalda as his world. He loved her so much. 

In the present, Griswalda visits him in the Nightmare Heart. He was quite shocked to see how much she had grown and equally as surprised to learn about her husband and kids.

He, of course, had to tease Elliot at first, but eventually lets his son in-law know that he's thankful for someone so compassionate to be looking out for his precious daughter. 

He often gives her advice and comfort when she goes and visits him. 

Torngasak

He's a bee, a close friend to Grimmshaw Sr and Griswalda's adoptive uncle. 

He's 64 years old, he's a man, and he's gay. 

He's peppy, short-tempered, aggressively caring, and hard working. 

He met Grimmshaw when he was 8 years old and he was obsessed with Grimmshaw. 

He always wanted to practice Grimmish, learn about the past from the old Grimm, and just genuinely enjoyed Grimmshaw's company. 

As an adult he became a close friend to Grimmshaw. He even tried to get the old man to move in, but Grimmshaw kindly said no. 

He would always give Grimmshaw a ton of food to take home when he’d visit. Grimmshaw was thankful for this.

He was pissed when Grimmshaw didn’t visit for 4 years straight. Grimmshaw would visit semi-frequently prior to this. When he saw the reason aka Griswalda, his tune completely changed.

He adores his niece so much. He can’t help but spoil her a little when Grimmshaw brings her over.

Their Story

Grimmshaw lost his mother, Griswanda, as well as his sister, Grimmalda, when he was 13. He ended up being found by a bee and his son, Palartok and Cupun respectively. They took the grimm in, taught him standard, and learned Grimmish as well. He became a part of their bee family/hive, raised by Palartok, who he sees as a father figure, and grew up alongside Cupun, who he sees as an older brother. Grimmshaw outlived his adoptive father and brother, as well as their kids, and their grandkids. Growing tired of the loss, he began leading a life of solitude.

It wasn’t until the 7th generation of Palartok's family when he met Torngasak, an 8 year old boy with a huge interest in Grimmish and grimms in general. He would visit him at his parents house and soon his own home. The two became close friends. Despite Torngasak's insistence on Grimmshaw coming to live with him, he politely declined.

Grimmshaw would consistently visit until he was around 187 years old. This concerned Torngasak greatly but he had no means of tracking the grimm down. The reason as to why he stopped visiting was simply because he had Griswalda and was raising her. The pregnancy was strenuous on his old body and raising her even more so, but he loved that child of his with all his heart. When she was 4, he finally took her to meet his dear friend. 

He was pissed to hear that familiar knock on his door and demanded an explanation. Grimmshaw said no explanation would suffice so he'd just showed the bee. He opened his cloak, revealing a lil Grimmchild and Torngasak's tune changed completely. After hearing the whole story with the pregnancy and raising her up to this point, he scolded Grimmshaw for not coming to his home for help and support. Griswalda must’ve been tough to raise, especially at his age.

Grimmshaw also comes clean about the other reason to see him aka to ask Torngasak if he could take care of his daughter when he eventually dies. Grimms indeed can live a long life, but they aren’t immortal. Torngasak agrees to care for Griswalda, of course, since they’re family and he cares about them. For the next couple of years they prepared Torngasak’s house for Griswalda to live there. They also talked to her about living there and got her used to being around and sleeping over at Torngasak’s house. Things seemed to be on track until Grimmshaw died and Griswalda disappeared into the tundra instead of going to her uncle’s as planned.

Torngasak searched for her for years on end but to no avail. He gained the ability to find flames from Grimmshaw prior to the old grimm’s death, so he’d leave flames out for her in hopes that she’d come home to him or as a means to see she was still alive. About 2 decades later, she finally came home to him, albeit all grown-up and with her own life going on. She felt terribly guilty for not coming all those years, but Torngasak didn’t care as he was just happy to see her alive.

In the present, Griswalda goes to visit her dad in the Nightmare Realm. His soul resides within the heart so in a sense he’s alive. She often brings her kids and Elliot to see him or just for some advice. He’s always very happy to see any of them and is especially happy to see his dear daughter all grown up and big. She also went to find her uncle and they reconnected as well. He ended up moving closer (with the help of her magic) so it was easier for him to visit her and vice versa. He adores her kids and is as happy as Grimmshaw Sr. to see her all grown up.

“Myth March: Day 2 Torngarsuk” . . . Honestly, I didn’t really like how this came out. It look a lot cool in my head and plus I don’t know how to draw animals so please go easy on me. In the Inuit religion, Torngarsuk (or Torngasak) is a very powerful sky god, one of the more important deities in the Inuit pantheon. He is said to be the leader of the Tornat, a group of protective gods. Torngarsuk is listed as a demon or spirit in the Dictionnaire Infernal - a.k.a. Tornatik, Torngarsoak, Torngasoak, Tungrangayak,Tornasuk etc. is a mischievous demon/spirit worshiped by offering in Greenland and the northeastern regions of Canada. (PLEASE DON’T REPOST OR TRACE IT, THANK YOU)

Another Tundra Grimm who’s the mother of Gridley, Grier, Grimmshaw, and Grishka (future kid who isn’t in these drawings); her name’s Griswalda! Also her beloved husband, Elliot!

Griswalda

She’s a Tundra Grimm. She’s mostly a stay-at-home mom, but she is also a hunter for her family.

She’s 37 years old, she's a woman, and she's asexual. 

She's a very gruff and stubborn bug. She's antisocial, can be cold at times, and is very cautious. 

She's like this because of past experiences with mortal bugs aka the ones responsible for both her scars.

She has a fear of crowds of people, people in general, and harpoons. She's getting better with her fear of people and crowds though. 

Despite this she is very warm and caring towards those she loves aka her husband and her kids. She loves them with all her being.

She loves sweets, her favourite being Pretza's cookies. She also loves Elliot and Torngasak's cooking in general. 

Her hobbies include painting, knitting, reading, watching tv, and listening to the radio.

When her kids are away, she usually volunteers at an orphanage.

Elliot

He's a diving beetle. He's a fisherman and also a sculptor. 

He's 36, he's a man, and he's bisexual.

He's sensitive, affectionate, caring, and extremely patient. He's an all around sweetie.

He fell for Griswalda hard because she saved his life. After the first time he got saved, he went to try and meet her again, and almost died again. Luckily she saved him again.

She became his muse for a LONG while, so he has a lot of sculptures of her.

He loves his wife and kids with all his heart. He does all he can to see them smile.

He can be a bit of a worrywart but that's mostly due to losing his family in one day.

Their Story

Childhood:

Griswalda grew up in a cave with her elderly father for the first 13 years of her life. Her childhood was good until an attack she had around 5 years old which ultimately scarred her for life. She was almost killed, but her dad luckily saved her. Thanks to his diligence and care for her, she survived. She was left with both a scar on her abdomen and her soul. She grew to both fear and hate mortal bugs who did this to her. Once again, her dad set her straight and while her fear and hatred weren’t fully gone, she at least had an idea of what bugs she could trust, like her 3 childhood friends and adoptive uncle Torngasak.

When her dad died when she was 13, she was supposed to go live with her uncle Torngasak, a tough, but caring bee. Unfortunately she was grieving and not thinking straight and ended up hiding throughout the wilds of Bonalinet Tundra. Around 17, she was going to go to her uncle but an encounter with the hunter scared her back into hiding again. She managed to stay hidden from the hunter for many years and she became some sort of urban legend among a couple of towns in Bonalinet.

Elliot grew up in a very full house. He lived with his parents, his older brother and his several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Pretty much everyone in his family grew up to be a fisher, but Elliot had his own interests. He loved sculpting very much. His mom worried about him getting by, but his dad wanted to nurture his boy's passion. So they agreed to let him sculpt and join in contests all while still training him to fish.

When he was 18 he moved out with a girlfriend and was more or less able to keep himself afloat. Things went badly with this girlfriend as she was abusing him (physically, emotionally, and psychologically). It was so bad to the point where he could barely go see his loved ones and when he would get to go, she had to be present. With the help of his close friends they got him out of that relationship and back on his feet. They helped him get his own little house in Wanet and he's been living there since.

Pre-Coma

Elliot met Griswalda purely by chance as she saved him from dying in a snowstorm. He fell for her HARD after that encounter and went out in a storm to find her again. He almost died at the hands of one of the bigger snow beasts in the tundra, but luckily she saved him again. When he expressed how he felt to her, it freaked her out and she ran away. He went home disappointed and heartbroken, but didn't want to overstep boundaries.

After some thought, she decided to visit him as he left his mitten in the cave. Griswalda was very uneasy and cold towards him at first. Over time and several visits, she warmed up to him and began trusting him. After visiting for about 2 years, she finally asked to live with him and he of course said yes. They began dating officially after this. 

A couple years later, when she felt safe enough, she decided to have kids. She didn't tell Elliot at first, but when he got the news he was ecstatic. They were very excited to spend their life together and were getting ready to have a baby. Unfortunately, the hunter, who was seeking her out ,finally found her. Not wanting Elliot to get harmed she left, without Elliot ever getting to officially marry her. Elliot was heartbroken to see her go and prayed that she’d return.

In her encounter with the hunter she defeated him, but not without taking fatal damage. She gave her eggs to a fisherman who was passing by and "died". Her not returning, led Elliot to believe she was dead, as were their kids. He fell into a bad depression, to the point where his friends took him in for a year or so to make sure he was ok. It wasn't until 5-6 years when he began finally getting his life back together.

Post-Coma

Almost 10 years after her death, Gridley and Grier sought him out. He almost attacked them thinking they were affiliated with the hunter who killed her. He was overjoyed to see that they were alive and well, that something of hers was still living. Pol immediately invited Elliot to go live with them as it'd be good for the twins to know at least one of their birth parents. He was ultimately hesitant, but agreed as he wanted to give them all the love he had.

Several months after living with the twins and their adoptive parents, Griswalda comes back from the dead with a few of her memories. She remembered Elliot's warmth and love, fighting the hunter, and giving her eggs to Pol. Nothing else. After a bit of tension between her and Elliot, they worked things out. Over time, she regained her memories. She rekindled her relationship with Elliot and began getting to know her kids. She also meets the other grimms and is quite happy to know she wasn’t the only one left.

Later on, Griswalda had another child, this time with Elliot. Their mixed child was named after her father, Grimmshaw. They're all living a relatively happy life. Griswalda finally gets the big family she dreamt of while Elliot got a second chance at life and love with both his kids and wife returning. She's still adjusting to all the lifestyle changes and all the new people in her life, but she's making strides with her fear of mortal bugs and towns. Also in the distant future, she has one more mixed kid with Elliot, who they named Grishka and they adopt a Vessel, who they name Snowflake.
