The Brothers Eclipse
Tumblr media
Punainen Usva and Valkoinen Pilvi were the princes born to Lord Helakanpunainen Aurinko and Lady Ametisti Kuu. Lord Aurinko and Lady Kuu's ruling age was known through the Misterican Kingdom as "The Age of the Eclipse" and as such their sons became known through the Kingdom as "The Eclipse Princes."
Usva and Pilvi were the best of friends from an early age. Usva being four years older than Pilvi would often show up wherever his brother was and steal him from whomever he was with, while proclaiming "He's mine, Mother and Father made him just for me."
No one ever had the heart to take Pilvi away from him.
Usva always felt naturally protective of Pilvi for many years not just because that was his little brother (pikkuveli) but because Pilvi was under so much stress from his position as The Child of White - the prophesied savior of their people.
Pilvi was referred to "The Celestial Mother's Holy Sacrifice" for the majority of his life until he performed the Ritual for the Holy Blade when he was thirteen and then became The Celestial Mother's Holy Vessel. Usva hated all of it simply because he saw his baby brother and not some holy savior.
He was just his idiot kid brother.
Even after the ritual and Pilvi's title change from "Your Highness" to "Your Eminence" the two of them remained as close as could be, even despite the occasional fights they would get into. (And when they fought, they generally came to blows.) It wasn't until the Rites Ceremony to decide who would become King that things took a turn for the worse when, despite not wanting the crown, Pilvi still won the match and earned the right to ascend the throne.
Surely Usva can see it was a fair fight and take his loss with grace, can't he? Surely Usva wouldn't let this come in-between his relationship with his little brother - would he?

Chapter III=The Bells Toll
(10th June X209, a Wednesday)
It has been quite some time since Kuu-aniki and I have settled in Tsukiumi Village under Kanetsugu-san’s care. It wasn’t easy at first. We were heavily reluctant to swim back since our first experience gave off strong vibes of the demon. Especially grouped with the fact we could start breathing easier as we came closer made it all the more suspicious. But we have to get this job done. Kanetsugu-san has repeatedly reassured us he’ll be protecting us as well in case the demon strikes and goes out of hand. Apparently, the villagers haven’t a clue that this Electrical Kaityrit is among them in disguise.
As such, we’ve been taking shelter at a much more remote area of Tsukiumi Village where it’s well-known for being ‘private property.’ The villagers don’t question it that much due to a legend that ties in with their original Kaityrit. A topic in which they don’t dare crossing for superstitious reasons. I picked up my exorcism journal and flip through the very few pages that have been filled. The door is slammed open as Kuu-aniki barges in armed with his kusarigama and an alarmed look across his face. I swiftly put down my exorcism journal and reach for my wrist-mounted slingshot. He grabs hold of my hand and I let him lead me out to the world.
We stop at a well to find Kanetsugu-san fending off actual demons on his own. Blink and you’ll miss them, these demons move with such agility and it doesn’t help they’re as small as grains of rice. He attempts to fire electrical goedendags in every direction they come in (when you’re a Kaityrit you are excused to defy the laws of physics while not killing anyone in the process) leaving the two of us to split for other areas. Stealthy, I swim towards a tree to take cover there while Kuu-aniki puts his kusarigama to work. “What do you think you’re doing!?” a young lady swims towards Kanetsugu-san all of a sudden and lands an aggressive punch on his shoulder.  Losing his concentrate, all of the demons swim away from the area out of fear. Aggravated, Kanetsugu-san roars back at the young lady to fight back.
Her beauty is that of a blossoming flower. Curly, glowing chestnut hair and a pair of pink-lace coloured eyes, this young lady dresses in a navy blue, female sailor uniform. The most adorable trait about her is the cat-bell choker she wears which tolls as she maneuvers around. “Who are you to be swimming around throwing punches at strangers!?” Kanetsugu-san barks at her like a ferocious canine. “What gives you the right to be attacking demons!?” the young lady screams back like a hissing cat, I cast a look at Kuu-aniki and our thoughts are in sync. Undoubtedly we’re not the most experienced at this exorcism business, depending on the sort of demon in question anyone can basically be aware of their presence. This hasn’t been the first case of others empathising with demons, we’re living proof of that. “You’re judging these demons like book covers!” the two of us edge closer to the scene while still remaining hidden from the young lady. “What are you supposed to be!? A demon expert!? They have to be exorcised on immediately! With them wreaking havoc, Tsukiumi Village is in no doubt will be left in ruins!” “Who’s to say these demons are the reason behind all the bizarre occurrences!? You’re such a biased person!” with that she angrily swims away, Kanetsugu-san tries catching up with her in a rage however the two of us upon instinct quickly pull him back. “Ochitsuite,” Kuu-aniki tells him. “Let her go,” I say to him.
Kanetsugu-san hangs his head low and breathes heavily. As he drops to his knees, we gradually release him and keep an open eye for the young lady. She’s nowhere to be seen. “All this time I’ve been Tsukiumi Village’s Kaityrit, I’ve seen her face a handful of times. Never once did it seem like she was up to no good,” Kanetsugu-san starts grunting. “So being a Kaityrit automatically gives you the privilege of spying on under-aged girls,” Kuu-aniki comments and I give him a playful punch on the shoulder. “Don’t put it that way, he’s only doing his job,” I scold him. Kanetsugu-san gets back up and tugs a strand of hair behind his ear. He starts sighing. “Kuuya, Chise, let’s go for a walk. I have to get that damn woman out of my head.”
(A handful of minutes later)
A school of fish scurry past me as I observe Kanetsugu-san and Kuu-aniki from afar. We’ve decided to take a stroll within the village’s heart, the two of them discussing certain matters by a fountain. Feeling bored, I head over to them to see the fountain has projected an astral map of the village in mid-air. Dark specks are sprinkled everywhere, I lean in closer, “Are those the demons?” “Yeah, we’re planning on an upcoming strategy,” Kuu-aniki replies, I notice there’s a single glowing figure which Kanetsugu-san is watching carefully which makes me smirk. “Is that supposed to be the young lady from before?” “Damn right it is,” Kanetsugu-san answers through gritted teeth, “I want to keep her away from our exorcism as far as possible.” Kuu-aniki tugs on my hair and I lean in closer. “If he stares at her any longer, she’ll get pregnant,” he whispers and I respond with a spirited slap on his forearm. We glance up at him to see if he heard it, fortunately he’s only engrossed with the map completely. “Kanetsugu-san, I’ve been thinking. Why don’t you keep her occupied while Chi and I exorcise the demons? It’s not like you’ll be that much harmful to them with your powers getting out of hand and we need all the proper help we can get.” I can see him considering it carefully rubbing his neck. “I’m willing to do anything for the village, but how am I supposed to keep that woman occupied for more than a second,” Kanetsugu-san looks at me intently, “Chise, is-” “For the first part of the strategy, I’ll accompany you first while Kuu-aniki goes off towards the demons. It shouldn’t be too hard to keep track of everyone’s whereabouts with this map-” “This astral map can only be projected at this fountain because Mr. Big Shot here can’t do it within his power,” Kuu-aniki corrects me. “Well excuse me, Pip Squeak for not thinking my actions first-” “Yup, this look like an appropriate, appealing strategy to me!” I attempt to prevent any potential tension between the two who are growling at each other like beast, God they’re so hot-headed.
“You’re not much of a parent if you let your child get ahead of you,” we all turn around to see the young lady from before stand with the utmost disgust. As Kanetsugu-san clenches his first and the two of us instantly hold him back. “Hello, they’re not-” “You’re greeted back with the lowest form of rashness.” “-NOT my children! Are you blind!?” “If I were I wouldn’t have been able to see your offense face there!” “Sure, these two bear the uncanny resemblance to ME! Besides, a child surpassing their parent is a sign of growth and appropriate raising skills!” “Is that so or are you that insensitive to not care about them!?”
Kuu-aniki tugs on my hair and inclines his head in a new direction. I look at Kanetsugu-san as he secretly winks at us in between his argument. With that, we both dash off as silent as the dead night.

Misterican Memories || Accepting
expressionbean asked:
⏰ + Sumu
Tumblr media
─── ⋆⋅ ♰ ⋅⋆ ─── "Smoke him out. I don't care what you have to do to get that little coward to show his face. The kingdom is already crumbling and it is his job to save us. So make him perform his sacred duty. Whatever it takes."
Cold eyes narrow down on the clergymen before him with a frown hanging on pale lips. The Kingdom was crumbling. Misterica in all her glory is falling into the deep dark that is spreading out from the sacred pillar. If something isn't done soon they'll all be lost and that damnable boy is nowhere to be found.
He blames Aurinko for this. He blames Kuu. He blames himself too for not doing something about that wretched woman sooner because if not for her, he could have swayed the King by now and the boy would have completed his duty in battle against the demon gunman.
If not for that, none of this would ever be happening. If not for her, he could have truly taken control of Aurinko ages ago. Then the boy, for as insufferable as he was, wouldn't have been able to refuse him.
He should have been rid of them ages ago. The brat and his mother. Aurinko and Kuu must have whisked the boy to safety because for some inane reason they insist on protecting him. That doesn't make any sense. The boy should be protecting Misterica. The last thing their Holy Savior needed right now or any other time was to be coddled but that wretched woman ruined the Celestial Mother's vessel by giving him independence and choice.
Now the boy thinks for himself and not the greater good. Now the boy thinks of himself as normal, which is the last thing he was in any sense of the word. How dare they take him from his sacred duty at a time like this?!
For being servants of the Misterican people, this is a betrayal at its highest form. The Royal Family should be bowing their heads but instead they have whisked the boy off to hide him from his fate. Undoubtedly those cowards are trying to avoid their duty. This is why his family has been taking on the task of trimming back the rot over these long to be sure that whomever was taking the seat of power was actually befitting of the position.
Misterica should come before all else and that includes their wretched lives.
Aurinko and Kuu were just children when they took the seats of power, and they were never fit to lead. He had assumed that the boy would have been easier to control considering how young their precious King of the Eclipse was when he took on the mantle of their true Lord, but he had that damnable woman on one side and he had Kenraali Taivas on the other. Both of them stepped out of their bounds and became far too much of an obstacle when it called for properly controlling Aurinko’s actions.
Cold eyes can only narrow further as the men before him start to file out of the room a little bit at a time, lips to parting as teeth clench together as silver toned mist floods from between them as he growls.
“NOW! Find that boy NOW! I don’t CARE what hole you have to drag him out of! His life belongs to Misterica! He’s never had the will to choose his own fate! Drag him out to force him to perform his duty. I don’t care what happens to him, but we’ll all die if he continues to hide like a coward. Burn the kingdom down if you must. It’s already crumbling and it’s all his fault. He’s failed us all and disgraced Lady Tiamat with his actions. What kind of vessel runs from his sacred duty? He was never our Savior to begin with. The prophecy chose the wrong boy.”

Faces of the King || Snow Cloud; The Gentle Son
Tumblr media
This post is second post in a series of eight of them, to describe to you all of Kumo's alters in order of inception. To read about this more as a whole please see:
Masks and Mindsets
The Fractured Mirror
The Fractured Mirror Part 2
Faces of the King || Valkoinen Pilvi; The True King
Tumblr media
⋆˖⁺‧₊☽◯☾₊‧⁺˖⋆ Now we move into when I said in the previous post that covered Pilvi, that "Nicknames like "Snow Cloud" and "Little Guy" became their own entity entirely."
We're going to be talking about Snow Cloud and Little Guy because they are basically the same person, who just goes by two different names. I say this because the expectations that were placed upon these names were largely the same to that means the "box" within Pilvi's brain that organizes himself from the inside his mind is labeled with both names.
Those names just answer to different people.
Snow Cloud was the name that was gifted to him by his mother, and for most of his life - his relationship with her was excessively close. She next to never called him by his given name and she only did so when she was upset in some way. The degree of that anger showing in whether she called him 'Pilvi' or 'Valkoinen Pilvi'. So that means when he heard the name 'Snow Cloud' from her, all was well.
Snow Cloud was not bound to religious or royalty duties and as such was allowed to relax. Snow Cloud is a gentle child that is eager to please and is excessively soft. He is a being that wants to create and show his loved ones care and concern through the use of his creations.
By this, I mean song and dance and plucking his mist. Snow Cloud is beyond creative and he loves to give to his loved ones with this skill of his in any way he can. When Kuu would address him in such a way it meant that she was happy with him and he was getting a loving mother in response. He didn't have any social or religious obligations to fill beyond being her son.
He was allowed to be himself and not all the other titles that were stacked on top of him (as long as he could pick them back up again at a moment's notice.) Snow Cloud is still duty bond as a member of the royal family, but less so because Snow Cloud meant that Kuu could see his age - which always seemed like something that Aurinko was blind to.
_
On the flips side of this exists Sielu's "Little Guy" this name was given to him by his music teacher, Opettaja Aqua Sielu.
Sielu was a massively important person in Pilvi's life because he let the boy be himself truly to his core and he did that by naming him "Little Guy." The two met when Pilvi was just five years old, in which Sielu made the Life Oath to him and performed the soul bind with him in order to engage in a pact of service to him. By all rights, Sielu would be considered one of Pilvi's vassals but he hardly treats the man that way.
Sielu once told him "I don't expect you to be anything more than yourself when you're in my classroom, Little Guy" and in that moment it allowed Pilvi to drop all the weight that rested on his shoulders as a Religious Icon and the Crowned Prince of the Kingdom. He simply became just a boy to him and he was allowed to relax and cry and make mistakes and have 'poor form'.
To be 'Little Guy' is his escape from everything that everyone else tells him he is. Little Guy was his one time he got to be as normal of a Misterican as he could excluding his status of holding the color White in his mist. Little Guy means he is just like everyone else and he doesn't have to uphold the holy perfection that is expected out of him at nearly every turn and breath he took.
He was allowed to 'slack off' and to prioritize rest over work. He could pour his heart into his passions over his work and he could chase after the things that really sparked a fire within him. In turn, that means those passions that brought his soul to life could be shared through Little Guy and Snow Cloud to show the world how he sparkled and his loved ones how much he could shine with the light of the Full Moon itself.
Little Guy and Snow Cloud were almost an escape from his reality in a sense because Pilvi's reality was filled with expectation and obligation and when he was one of these names, he didn't have to worry about any of that. He could go sleep in the clouds if he wanted to and he wouldn't get scolded for it.
He could be a Misterican and nothing else and nothing was more precious to him than that.

for aurinko △ + how can you call yourself a decent king when you can't even protect your child? how is your kingdom supposed to have faith you'll look out for them?

✩°。⋆☼⋆。°✩ The Solar King's eyes are narrowing on the traveler as they speak and he has to remind himself to hold his calm instead of snarling at them in response. He doesn't need to know which child they mean to know they are talking about Pilvi.
Everyone is always talking about Pilvi.
And he can't make them stop. He can't make anyone look away from his child or give the boy true refuge. Even if he had not been born of the Celestial Mother's color, he was born with royal blood coursing through his veins, so the Kingdom would talk whether he wanted them to or not.
But the talk of Usva is not the same as it is of his brother.
The Kingdom does not speak of the Cloud in whispers as they do the Mist. Usva's existence a hushed silence in the face of all that Pilvi was and would become.
All they hoped he would become.
Pilvi is twelve years old this year and the next year draws in closer with every passing month. Pilvi is twelve years old and he has become such a smart, vibrant, accomplished boy. He has mastered dances he, himself, couldn't even begin to wrap his mind around and the boy has a gift for the arts like he's never seen before. He's an accomplished musician and he's not even a teenager yet.
Pilvi truly is blessed.
Would the Celestial Mother accept him? Would she take him away from them? From him? From Kuu? He fears to think about what the loss of her youngest would do to his wife. While his own heart would be crushed at the loss... Kuu would be ... inconsolable.
So how is the Kingdom supposed to have faith in him when he is failing so miserably as a father to his youngest son?

Punainen Usva, eldest son of the Eclipse, is first born to Lord Aurinko and Lady Kuu. He is a strong and dedicated prince who is serious about his station and serious about his swordsmanship. He turned to swordsmanship when he was very young and dedicated his entire life to it. He took his studies seriously and poured his life in prepping for the day when he would assume the throne.
Four years later, his younger brother Valkoinen Pivli was born and Usva found himself growing extremely attached and protective. The two were attached at the hip at nearly everything they did. Pilvi eventually took a shine to swordsmanship asking his brother to teach him and Usva only agreed if Pilvi agreed not to pursue it for power.
Pilvi agreed so Usva took to training his brother in the art of the sword. Usva completed his training as a Royal Knight at the age of 18 and aced all of his exams. However when he was 19, he had to participate in the Rites Ceremony to decide which brother would become the crowned heir and assume the throne when the time came.
Usva lost the fight to his brother and in turn the throne. So their relationship soured quickly. Resentment grew over the years until it turned to blind rage. The brother he once adored became the focus of his obsession in wanting to prove to the world that he truly was the better swordsman of the two and the one who should have been awarded the right to become king.

Ametisti Kuu, Lady of the Moon, assumed the throne when she married her husband Aurinko at the age of 19 effectively bringing in the reigning Age, Age of the Eclipse. She nicknamed Aurinko, "Sun of my life."
She is a considerate caring healer, who adores her family and helps rule Misterica's Kingdom along side of her husband and The Religious Council. She is hailed throughout the Kingdom as she is the mother of The Child of White.
Her first son, Punainen Usva was born when she was 26 years old and she doted on him endlessly. Encouraging him to pursue his passions and watching him flourish and he did so. She has nicknamed her son, "My Morning Mist."
Her second son, Valkoinen Pilvi was born when she was 30 years old, and she not only babies him but is extremely protective of him. She calls Pilvi, "My Snow Cloud" as an affectionate nickname and keeps him as close as she's able. Knowing he is the Child of White has her feeling mixed emotions as she understands his place in the world due to prophecy but he is also her youngest child and she wants nothing but to keep him off the battlefield.
She is the one who helped encourage her youngest into the arts of all kinds and is more than content to listen to him pluck his mist or sing whatever song has caught his fancy.

Helakanpunainen Aurinko is Misterica's reigning king. Known formally by his kingdom as Lord Aurinko, he took the throne when he was only 20 years old due to the death of his father. Aurinko was a child king, as Misterican adulthood is not reached until the age of 25.
He was a child king with a child bride, marrying Kuu when she was 19 and as such they assumed the throne and brought in their reigning age - Age of the Eclipse.
When Aurinko took the throne, Misterica was still locked deep in war with Windaria. However after some intense work and negotiations he managed to forge the Tuuli-Sumu Tulitauko between the two worlds. This put the war in the state of a ceasefire until the agreed upon demands could be met.
In order to get the Windarians to agree to such a thing, Aurinko promised for their prophesied champions - the Demon Gunman and the Demon Swordsman- to meet in battle to decide the end of the war once and for all. Except neither world had yet to find their champion. Misterica knew of their legend and that the chosen Misterican would be the Child of White, but that child had yet to be born.
Five years later when Aurinko was 27 years old his first son Punainen Usva was born and he showed care and concern to his child in the best ways he could. He was a doting father when he managed to have time amongst the chaos of leading a Kingdom in tandem with the Religious Council and showed great pride in his son's accomplishments.
Until four years later when Aurinko was 31 years old, his second son was born and not only was his second son born but he was the prophesied Child of White. Valkoinen Pilvi came to be and he found himself both overjoyed and mortified at the same time, because in signing the ceasefire, he damned his unborn son to a life destined for war. So Aurinko became distant to his son, trying to find a way to cope with what was to come in the future but he found himself being swayed over and over by this child's energy of pure joy and his seemingly endless talent for just about everything.
He couldn't help feeling extreme pride in both his sons and he loved them dearly, so he began doing everything he could to avoid the pushing from the Religious Council to prepare Pilvi for war. He did not want that innocent child to ever have to see battle despite the circumstances. He did not want to have the discussion with the Windarian leaders and he did not want to talk to the Religious Council because everything was different now. The Child of White was his son, and Aurinko saw "His little Pilvi" before he saw anything else.

for maamuna: 💭 + the perfect ideal nap arrangement
Tumblr media Tumblr media
⋆˖⁺‧₊☽◯☾₊‧⁺˖⋆ "I can't have them anymore. It's impossible but there were rare times when I was feeling especially miserable that I could manage to crawl in bed next to Mother to take nap. I just loved it when she held me. Some of the best though were when I could get Revon out of the hall to just come lay with me. I felt protected. Opettaja Sielu too. I always felt so protected and safe. It was nice to just listen to their heartbeats while I slept. I could zone out into it.
Kain is nice now too. Even if he's smaller than me, I feel protected. I feel safe. He's so warm too. Not as warm as Black Wind but still warm. I suppose nowadays my favorite place to sleep is on the Magun. I can hear his heart beating so proudly inside it and it's such a unique song that only his heart can sing when it echoes from inside. The Magun is so warm too. You would think sleeping on harm metal would be uncomfortable but it really isn't. I know he's near and I know I'm safe. I feel whole when I sleep on it. I guess that sounds weird but I just feel like I'm not missing anything when I'm close to the Magun."

oh BOY it's back it's also MY favorite meme for pilvi: 💭 + misterican winter... just how cold was it? (+ any other thoughts on it)
Tumblr media
⋆˖⁺‧₊☽◯☾₊‧⁺˖⋆ His arms are crossing over his chest as he thinks about and he tries to think of a place in Wonderland that even remotely comes close to how cold home did.
Tumblr media
"No where here requires a cloak." He explains.
"I'm not saying that one wouldn't make a few places more comfortable, but I would only have to pull my cloak out if I went deep into the clouds here. The winter season at home was very cold but it was still my favorite. Performing the ritual was brutal since I was in ceremonial garb and that meant my feet were bare on the ritual stone, but I adjusted as I danced. The more I moved the warmer I got. Still it was so cold that day.
I think the thing I loved the most of the winter season beyond valkoisen syntymää was being able to go vesikävelyä with Opettaja Sydän. That was always so much fun. Mother would watch and sometimes Father would come watch too but he was pretty terrible at the actual act. He tried though. Usva was alright but he was never as fast as I was. Opettaja Vuorovesi though. She could give us a ride on the breeze. She was so good. "

Valkoinen Pilvi, youngest son of the Eclipse, is second born to Lord Aurinko and Lady Kuu. He is Misterica's prophesied savior and The Child of White. Pilvi is the only Misterican in their history to ever be born of the color White and as such that makes him the one destined to inherit the Holy Blade, The Maken, in which Lady Tiamat, The Celestial Mother's soul resides.
Misterican religion dictates that The Child of White shall be the Child of Salvation and lead Misterica into an age of prosperity and growth, because of this Pivli was seen as not just the second son of the Royal Family but also a Religious Icon - even a Religious Artifact to the Religious Council themselves.
The Ritual to obtain the Holy Blade was performed on Pilvi's 13th birthday and in it he was to offer himself as a sacrifice to the Celestial Mother, so she may be born anew. No one knew what was going to happen during this ritual, and thanks to Usva's teasing and Kuu and Aurinko's tension - Pilvi came to the belief that once performed he would die during the ceremony.
Lady Tiamat accepted him as her vessel however and their souls mixed. Now they are both contained with the Maken and Pilvi shares his body with the Celestial Mother - truly becoming her proper vessel.
When he was 15, he had to engage in what is known as the Rites Ceremony to decide which sibling will obtain the right to ascend the throne. Being so close to his older brother, Punainen Usva, this was devastating news for him as he did not want to ascend the throne nor did he want to fight his brother but his brother made him promise to give it everything he had and not to throw the match. Pilvi agreed and in turn ended up winning the match and the right to ascend the throne.
Everything went to hell however when Pilvi turned 17 and the Pillar of Darkness that had sat on Misterican since he was only a baby activated and smothered the world in darkness. Misterica was destroyed despite their best efforts to save their home and Misterica was plunged into Wonderland. Pilvi died that day only to revive on the enemy world of Windaria where we was found by a young girl named Aura.
She took him back to her home, and that was when he met the man of Black Wind -Fekete Szél- his fated counterpart. His Other. Pilvi was given the name Holdfény by the pair as to not draw attention to him while living there. He lived with them for three years until Windaria was soon plunged into darkness in the same way Misterica had been. Pilvi and Szél engaged the darkness known as Chaos head on but ultimately even Windaria fell to it's might.
The two of them were killed in battle and both of them were plunged into Wonderland along with what remained of Windaria.....

@dont-call-me-a-lyre asked:
🌙☁️ + 💭 + transition from "commoner" to "royal"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
⋆⁺₊ 。˚☽˚。 ⁺₊⋆ "What a curious question. I wasn't aware that people outside the kingdom were aware of that. I wasn't aware that many in the kingdom were aware of that. You see Aurinko met me in the market when he was out with his guard - Taivas - I'm sure you've met the man, he's a dear really. He's always with my Aurinko so of course you've met him by now.
Aurinko came fumbling up to me with his jaw practically dragging on the ground hardly able to compose a sentence. We were just teenagers. I can still see the glossed over look that covered gold eyes because he couldn't look away from me and his face was as red as his hair. He invited me to come with him to the palace for dinner, to which with the permission of my parents I agreed.
It was a strange adjustment because Royal life is so different from the average Mistericans'. It's different due to our position in relation to the populace. I too, took an oath upon making my commitment to Aurinko to serve the people of Misterica, but it is not the same as what Aurinko feels for it or my boys. I was not raised to drop my horns to those around me, yet my boys do so without question or hesitation. I still haven't decided how I completely feel about it now that I am watching it happen within the space of my sons.
The way the royal court speaks is far more formal that the rest of the kingdom, and we are held to such high standards and expectations. It's easy to look in on the royal family and assume they are just rich aristocrats that want for not but there are many struggles that my family faces now that were the furthest thing from my mind as a child. Struggles I didn't have a clue even existed. Troubles my sons will face for the rest of their lifetimes.
It was an adjustment and some days it still is, but Aurinko is always patient with me and I honestly think it's good for the boys to have someone with a differing perspective in their lives who knows more than just proper table etiquette and how to speak in their language. Their father doesn't know or understand what it is to have a simple life and that's not his fault. So sometimes I feel that it is good that I can bring them out of the clouds and back down to the islands to see how the world really works.
In truth, I can's say I ever truly transitioned. I'm still the same person I always was. I just follow a little bit different set of rules and I don't have quite as much freedom as I once did, but in return I was given my brightest sun, the morning mist and my beloved snow cloud. I wouldn't say I could have a better gift than that."

(For any cloud :3c) What's an insignificant-in-the-scheme-of-things or otherwise very casual memory that you cherish a lot from Misterica? What's one from Windaria? How about Wonderland?

"Rorahm-Vahree loves books. Did you know that? The library he had at our little cabin in the woods was so large. He let me read whatever I liked and he would bring home a new book every now and then when we had the money. I wasn't allowed to leave the cabin alone without permission and I was strictly forbidden from leaving the forest. I wasn't supposed to be anywhere close to any of the villages. It was much too dangerous. That's why I had to stay home even when Rorahm and Raiya-Vahree weren't.
I would read to him all the time. Constantly. He would stay home with me sometimes when Raiya-Vahree was out gathering flowers or doing her daily errands, so I would read to Rorahm-Vahree and it was always so nice that I had someone to listen. It helped me practice my Windarian. I was already fluent but some sounds were still just difficult for me.
I don't ever remember finishing a book though. He is so warm that I always fell asleep. I swear I'd fall asleep on him but most of the time, I always woke up in bed. I miss him, I miss him a lot.
As for Misterica, it's more a thing than a memory I suppose. I just miss. Something so small but I miss being Mother's Snow Cloud. That was something special. It took weight off my shoulders. It was just such a simple way to say she loved me. I was Snow Cloud and I didn't have to be anyone else, but I - I don't know if I've ever been to a place called Wonderland.
Is it nice there?"

Oh Brother, My Brother || Accepting
Send me “✖” and my muse will tell you a story about their sibling(s)

"You called for me? Can I help you? Oh you want to know a story about Pilv'? That idiot? He's the most heavy headed person I know. Some days, truly. I wanted to leave the palace, you see. There was a festival going on in the main square of the capital and I wanted to go.
'But Mother and Father will be mad.' " He says the last sentence raising his tone to speak more through his nose as if to make fun of his brother's whining.
"Of course he stopped me. Of course he caught me. With all those horns of his, how couldn't he? So I did the only thing every reasonable sibling would do in this situation and the one thing every elder doesn't want to do but knows they have to. I promised to take him with me if he just kept his mouth shut.
The problem here is, when it comes to staying quiet under pressure - Pilvi is a balloon. A very loud, emotionally overloaded, crying balloon and somehow I never seem to learn this lesson well because of those big green eyes of his - let's just say pikkuveli gets his way more often than not because I don't want to listen to the fuss.
So I decided to bring that idiot along, in order to keep him quiet, because Celestial Mother knows if Mother or Father or well anyone had asked him where I was - the balloon would have popped instantly. Getting him out of the palace has a task and a half because it meant we needed to get away from Safiirin and Revon and those two they watch us like hawks.
Thankfully Pilv' will do near literally anything I ask of him and there is nothing a little bit of that white mist can't fix. On top of his hearing. Oh I have used Snowflake to my advantage plenty of times. He is the ultimate partner when it comes to getting away with things. If we could just get him withstand interrogation a little better though... we'd pull things off with much more success.
Our only other problem is all that white hair of his, and unfortunately no hood in the universe is enough to hide it, if he keeps taking it off. I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this. The city guard locked onto both of us in a matter of I'd say maybe thirty minutes and we barely got to see anything of the main festival at all.
What we did get to see though... I don't know if I've ever seen his eyes light up like that. It was... the festival was so different from anything we've ever experienced. It was not the same as anything that happens within the space of the palace walls. We both got in so much trouble, because as expected - as soon as we were brought before Mother and Father and Father trumpeted at us
"What were you thinking?"
The balloon on cue, popped in a magnificent flood of emotion and once again there was a small storm of only seven years standing next to me. The bright side of this is, Pilvi's sudden downpours always seem to make it so we don't get in that much trouble."
