Everything you never needed to know about my fairy OCS:

Misty “Moondrop”

Water talent

Loves fashion and fancy flying maneuvers (loops, figure-8s, twirls etc)

Dating best friend and fellow water-talent Cera

She arrived during a full moon, prompting the nickname “moondrop”

First to arrive of the bunch, though they soon followed

A frog Cera named Prince Ribbert follows her around all the time so she learned a little frog language to communicate with him, but he’s not really a pet

Topaz “Brightbeam”

Light talent

Loves gems and making light crystals

Not afraid of the dark, bc she spends a lot of time underground finding gems

Has a beautiful butterfly friend named Jewel

She and Misty became friends first, then she got close to everyone else and made them all a big friend group

She’s BFF with Kelly and loves Sienna

Kelly “Coppershine”:

Tinker talent

Super sweet, always offers tea and cookies when someone comes to drop off or pick up a repair

Low-key doesn’t like Bobble v much but both are too polite for an actual rivalry

Loves to read and developed a crush on Scribble from the book nook though he has a crush on Nyx

She feeds stray pill bugs and all the bugs basically love her bc she’s soft with them--she has a pet caterpillar (Cookie) & spider (Mme. Willow)

Camilla:

Garden talent

She’s shy and quiet but secretly loves to sing--doesn’t sing in front of other fairies but sings for her plants

Topaz and Kelly were the first ones she got close to  bc they were warm and talkative to fill her silence, but she learned Misty and Sienna were really comfortable to be around

There’s a family of hedgehogs who live in her garden and the baby Hazel loves her.

She’s with Rune--a story-telling fairy

Sienna:

Animal talent

Loves talking to older animals who have a lot of wisdom and sage advice (esp Mr. Tortuga)

She’s pretty reserved/quiet, so ppl tend to be surprised that she’s actually sharp-witted and will come out with a dry comment or pun and smirk

Will try anything twice--the first to see if she likes it, and again just in case. Her friends therefore involve her in all their hobbies

She’ll take Topaz to the animal talent tunnels bc there are some caves w/ crystals there, Topaz calls her “emerald eyes”

I got pictures of my Lost Treasure fairies! Sorry I can’t make them any better, it’s hard to take pictures of another screen and I’m busy leaving town. But they’re cute right? I think you can guess their talents.

My Fairies + Animal Companions

Misty:

There’s a Never frog who follows Misty around everywhere; sometimes she’ll fly too far, but if she stays in one spot that hoppy boy will eventually catch up.

She thinks she picked up the this slimy shadow when she was playing at a certain pond one season. Her talent-members thought it was adorable, her friends thought it was hilarious, and Tinker Bell suggested kissing it because of a human tale, which promted Cera to name it Prince Ribbert. Finally, Sienna taught Misty a little of the frog language so she could talk to him. Now they’re besties.

Topaz:

Butterflies flock to Topaz during the day, and moths at night, because of her sunshine-y glow--the one downside to being to a light fairy. But she doesn’t mind; she keeps lots of light beads on her so she can leave them for unwanted stragglers to gather around instead. (Sienna has a problem with this, but just makes a cheeky remark.)

Topaz really loves birds and bugs with glowing iridescent feathers, scales and shells, so when a butterfly came to her one day with such beautiful wings, she befriended her and calls her Jewel.

Kelly:

Bugs of all kinds love Kelly, because she has a tendency to feed any who come begging. The pillbugs of Pixie Hollow flock to her dinner table, and a few of them sleep in her house. The fireflies really enjoy lighting her way because of how soft she is with them. There’s a particular ladybug who likes to sit on her head or shoulder, fooling some fairies into thinking it’s an accessory!

Her only actual pets are a fuzzy caterpillar named Cookie who she shears for caterpillar wool and has to keep very well-fed so he won’t eat all her green leaf clothing, and a purple Never spider named Madame Willow who spins thread for her.

Camellia:

A family of hedgehogs lives in Camellia’s garden. The animal-talents asked her if she’d like them to be gently relocated, but she decided to accommodate them instead. She had a house/nest built for them to stay and makes sure they’re safe and provided for in her garden. In return, they do great pest-control!

The youngest hedgehog of the group, little Hazel, really loves Camellia and is not shy about showing it. She’s always giving Camellia cuddles and trying to play with her.

Sienna:

As an animal fairy, Sienna has the most reason and opportunity to spend time with a lot of animals. She works with all kinds, from vertebrates to arthropods, but especially loves talking to the older generation of creatures.

There’s an ancient Never Tortoise whose name is untranslatable to the fairy language (she just calls him Mr. Tortuga when talking to other fairies about him) and who tells her all about his life and the old days of Never Land, since he’s seen so much of it. She would never call him her pet, but she considers him one of her best friends and always defers to his wisdom.

My Fairies

I have a rough headcanon collection going now and I’ll probably just add on to this post whenever I think of more, so I’ll just post it now and not worry about it being incomplete!

It’s also long, so under a cut.

Misty Moondrop:

Misty is water fairy and that’s her first passion, of course, but she also loves fancy flying--speeding, doing loops, figure-eights and twirls--and fashion. She’s been working on an intense clothes collection since the summer of Great Fairy Rescue and is Mariana’s best “customer” for the sake of it...though she has to provide her own materials for sewing.

Cera is her girlfriend--she initially showed her around Pixie Hollow when Misty arrived and they worked together on the water-talents’ project for the Autumn Revelry. They were instant friends and fell in love along the way!

She arrived during a full moon, prompting the nickname “Moondrop.” She prefers it to her newest-water-fairy-nickname from her talent mates, “little squirt.” And she can’t wait for the next water-talent arrival so she can be the one calling “squirt!”

She’s also the first of the 5 new fairies, but they soon followed her. It was a busy season for arrivals. She doesn’t feel more mature than her friends, and a lot of times she feels like she doesn’t know what she’s doing.

Topaz Brightbeam:

Topaz loves collecting gems and making light crystals, which is her favorite light-talent activity. If anyone needs a specific crystal, she’s the one to find it for you. Need a night light? Ask Brightbeam! Iridessa was the one who originally got her into these hobbies for the love of all things that sparkle.

Because of all the time she spends underground looking for gems, Topaz is one of the few light fairies who doesn’t dislike the dark. She likes to think of it with an artistic perspective, as a canvas to fill with her own light!

She’s a big social butterfly and brought these 5 girls together as friends by her friendships with each of them. She met Misty first and they decided to become a water/light team when it came to collaborative talent-work like making rainbows. They still go to the mainland together on the same season rotation.

Topaz became closest with Kelly, who she can talk to for hours, and Sienna, who she thinks is just hilarious. Camellia didn’t give her much feedback to bounce off of at first, but she kept trying to befriend her anyway until she finally fell in with the group.

Kelly Coppershine:

Kelly’s best selling-point as your go-to tinker is not raw talent (see Tinker Bell) but how sweet she is. She won’t rush you out so she can get back to working, but is always ready to share a cup of tea and cookies when a fairy drops off or picks up a repair.

She doesn’t really do much tinkering with lost things; she prefers solid pots and pans repair and cleaning. “Coppershine” to the rescue for all your scouring needs!

She has a low-key rivalry with Bobble but both are too polite to outright start beef with a fellow tinker. Everyone else just assumes they're on good terms. She’s actually close with fellow talent-mates Chipper, Lucinda and Slate, and likes Tink and Clank too. (She thinks Fairy Mary and Bobble are both too harsh on fellow talent-members like Lucinda and Clank.)

She reads a lot of books and has her own little library on a shelf in her room. She’s spent some time in the Book Nook and thinks Scribble is cute, and would also like to meet The Keeper but doesn’t totally love the idea of venturing into the Winter Woods. When Scribble displayed his “Dewey” autographed book, she was amazed.

Camellia:

Camellia is shy, but has a secret love for singing. She never does it in front of other fairies, so she doesn’t know if she’s any good, but she sings for her plants and they seem to like it so that’s good enough for her.

Topaz and Kelly were her first real friends outside of her talent because they’re so warm and talkative--she never felt like she had to fill a silence because they would do it for her and were eager to hear whatever she had to say when she did want to speak. When she got to know Misty and Sienna as well, she eventually realized that they were more reserved because they were comfortable with silence, not because they didn’t like her, and now she feels just as comfortable with them.

Camellia is interested in performance-based talents like music, story-telling and light-talent shows, but she would never dream that she could even show off her talent in the Four Seasons Festival. Kelly introduces her to Lyria and Trill, who are also shy off-stage, to show her that sometimes doing the thing you love takes away the stage-fright and performing can feel different from one-on-one conversations.

She’s actually not as fashion-obsessed as some garden fairies, who are known for bringing the best petals to show, but she does have a refined/classic sense of style and it shows in her favorite outfits. Misty really wants to share wardrobes with her sometime.

Sienna:

Sienna has a playful streak like all animal talents, and a very quick wit, but is also often quiet (not shy, just reserved.) So she seems like a pretty calm fairy before you know her, but then she’ll make a surprisingly sarcastic/dry comment or pun with only a small side-smile to clue others into realizing she’s joking around.

Her favorite animals to work with are different from Fawn, who likes difficult cases, and Beck, who likes babies. Sienna actually likes older animals who don’t need as much personal attention but have a lot to say. She loves picking the brain of a worldly-experienced bird or an old couple of beavers, and loves these deep conversations that she wouldn’t otherwise be able to have if she wasn’t multi-lingual!

She knows the animal-talent tunnels of Pixie Hollow as well as anyone from her talent, and she’s taken Topaz there a few times because some of the tunnels lead to secret caverns where her friend can find rare crystals. She doesn’t get the hobby herself, preferring neutrals to bright color, but she likes the sparkle in Topaz’s eyes when she finds a new shiny thing. PS: Topaz calls Sienna’s eyes “emeralds.”

Sienna will try anything twice--the first time to see if she’ll enjoy it, and the second time just in case. This enables friends to involve her into all their new hobbies and force her to try foods she didn’t like, but sometimes it pays off!

Misty and Topaz

I decided to take more pictures of my fairies and test out some different outfits on them! It’s times like these when I really wish I could draw...
