What Are the Different Types of Engineering?
Tumblr media
Engineering is an extensive subject. With so many types of engineering to choose from, it can be difficult to narrow down which one is for you. To help graduates of engineering colleges to decide, they should try and identify what they are passionate about. All types of engineering include some form of problem-solving and generally focus on making life easier. While choosing a subject that an individual is naturally interested in, they will find it easier to stay motivated during your course and stay involved with the subject whilst pursuing an engineering career.
There are various branches of engineering that helps you decide which one could be for you. Some of them are as follows:
1. Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering
This branch of engineering deals with the research, design, development, construction, testing, science and technology of aircraft. Also, students of best engineering colleges in Jaipur could study astronautical engineering, focusing on spacecraft and the deep conditions of space. They are fascinated by the history and methodology behind flying machines, from the earliest conceptual sketches to the advancement of modern jets.
Specializations in Aeronautical engineering
If engineers study aeronautical engineering, they could specialize in aerodynamics, aeroelasticity, composites analysis, avionics, propulsion and structures and materials.
2. Chemical Engineering
This type of engineering is related to the use of chemical and biological processes to produce useful materials or substances. It is a multidisciplinary subject that combines natural and experimental sciences like chemistry and physics, along with life sciences like biology, microbiology and biochemistry along with the mathematics and economics.
This type of engineering requires an analytical mindset, studying chemistry or another natural/life science and must be interested in the chemical processes behind producing everyday items.
Specializations in Chemical engineering
If engineers choose to study chemical engineering, they may like to specialize in chemical reaction engineering, plant design, process engineering, process design or transport phenomena.
3. Civil Engineering
Civil engineering is the professional practice of designing and developing infrastructure projects. This can be on a huge scale like the development of nationwide transport systems or water supply networks, or on a smaller scale like the development of single roads or buildings.
For this type of engineering, students of Private Engineering Colleges must be interested in designing and building things, interested in mechanics, hydraulics, geotechnics, materials science and statistical analysis and must develop your design skills, particularly in computer-aided design.
Specializations in Civil engineering
Common specializations of civil engineering include structural engineering, architectural engineering, transportation engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering and hydraulic engineering.
4. Computer Engineering
Computer engineering is related to the design and prototyping of computing hardware and software. This subject merge electrical engineering with computer science, and students of best engineering colleges India may prefer to study computer engineering alongside one of these similar subjects.
Students of this type of engineering must be interested in an engineering career related to computers, interested in mathematics, science and computers, and want to learn more about how computers operate at a physical level and must produce new products and systems based on the technological advances of computer scientists.
Specializations in Computer engineering
Computer engineering specializations must overlap computer science degrees. For instance, computer graphics and network security. However, specialized subjects generally unique to computer engineering include microprocessor/microcontroller systems, computer architecture and VHDL (hardware description language) design.
5. Electrical/Electronics Engineering
Electrical and electronics engineering both focus on applications of electrical power. The two fields differ in that electrical engineer’s chiefly focus on the large-scale production and supply of electrical power, while electronics engineers focus on much smaller electronic circuits, such as those used in computers.
For this type of engineering, students of top engineering colleges in Jaipur must be interested in how electrical devices and systems work, must power the next phase of technological developments and should understand how any electrical system is set up and have ideas for how it could be improved.
Specializations in Electrical engineering
Engineers could specialize in the following areas of electrical and electronics engineering: power generation and supply, communications and media, computer systems and robotic systems.
6. Mechanical Engineering
One of the oldest and broadest types of engineering, mechanical engineering is concerned with the design, manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems. You’ll study statics and dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, stress analysis, mechanical design and technical drawing.
To pursue this type of engineering, students of Mechanical Engineering Colleges in Jaipur must be interested in coming up with new and innovative designs in fields such as sustainable energy and artificial intelligence, and working as part of an interdisciplinary team to develop and improve mechanical technologies.
Specializations in Mechanical engineering
This is a very broad subject, which overlaps with lots of other types of engineering. However, the most common specializations of mechanical engineering include manufacturing, transportation systems, combustion, nanotechnology and robotics. Mechatronics engineering may also be of interest; this combines mechanical and electronic engineering with areas such as computer and control engineering.
7. Engineering Management
Another interdisciplinary field, engineering management has grown in recent years, with engineering colleges Jaipur responding to industry demand for management-focused engineers by developing dedicated engineering management programs. 5 things that must be considered before taking admission in AME
 1)What is AME?
Aircraft maintenance engineering (AME) is a professional course offered by institutes. An AME engineer ensures the quality, maintenance, and upgrade assurance of the aircraft. AME is responsible for whether the aircraft is working properly or not.
Only after AME signs, the Flight Releasing Certificate (FRC) a flight can take off.
2) Duration of AME course
AME is a license training program. this program is divided into 2 categories, A program, and B program. The duration of the A program is 2 years, in which 1st year will be academic and 2nd year will be of practical training. the duration of the B program is 4 years in which 2 years will be for academic knowledge and the last 2 years for practical knowledge. After completing the course license will be issued by DGCA and the course was also approved by DGCA
 3) Eligibility criteria for AME
The age of the candidate must be between 16- 28 at the time of admission.
The candidate must have passed 10+2 with 45% marks with PCM ( physics, chemistry, and mathematics) or AICTE approved  Diploma (Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, and Aeronautical)
The candidate must go through a physical examination by a doctor with an MBBS degree at least
The candidate shall not have any physical disability or color blindness
4) Thorough knowledge about the streams, categories, or codes
Aircraft mechanical engineering course has following streams
A - this license is issued to those engineers who maintain, repair, and fix the defect of the aircraft.
A1- A1 license holder deals with the simple defects in airplanes with jet engines.
A2-  A2 license holder deals with the defects in airplane with piston engines
A3-  A3 license holder works as technician and deals with helicopters with jet engines.
A4- A4 license holder works as technician and deals with helicopters with piston engines.
B1- B1 license holder issue certificate for the mechanical part, power plant& structure of the aircraft
B1.1- B1.1 license holder certify the airplane with jet engines.
B1.2-B1.2 license holder certifies the airplane with piston engines.
B1.3- B1.3 license holder certifies helicopter with jet engines
B1.4-B1.4 license holder certifies the helicopter with piston engines.
B2-  B2 license holder issue certificate to the avionics, electrical, radio equipment installed in the airplane
5)Choosing the institute
After clearing your AME entrance exam (AME CET), you have to attend the AME admission counseling to confirm your admission. Last but the most important thing that should be considered before taking admission in the university or institute you choose. You’ll get many options for AME. make a thorough checkup on the institute. Nowadays there are so many institutes that run fraudulent advertisements on different media platforms like providing a 100% job guarantee. Beware of them. If possible try to have a conversation with the previous batch. Make sure that it’s a DGCA approved AME college.
Talking about top colleges, Indian institute of aeronautics institute will be the best choice for you. IIA is the first AME institute in India to provide the best AME professionals in civil aviation and safety. With a  top-notch infrastructure and the best possible practical and academic training in India, IIA is definitely one of the best colleges for AME aspirants. IIA is a DGCA approved institute in Delhi and Patna.
