Thank you @secret-third-thing for the tag ❤️
I purposely delayed answering this questions to cheer me up on a day I knew would be particularly shitty at work, so now I'm ready to waste some company time with you all!
🍓 how did you get into writing fanfiction?
I was probably 10 when I wrote a retelling of Harry Potter I thought made more sense narratively. At the time I had no way to share my illiteracy nor a computer to save me from developing a writer's callus, so I used to fill I don't even know how many notebooks bought at exorbitant prices at the local stationery shop. By the end of the year, I started to do the same thing with the Twilight saga, and since then I never really stopped. I think the first fanfiction I posted on Tumblr was a fix-it fic about the sequel of the Selection saga in which Eadlyn realizes she loves Kile a little too much to let him go (you can find it here, if you were a Keadlyn shipper back in the days and you're up for a trip down the memory lane)
🍇How many fandoms have you written in?
Fifteen 🙈 I'm fairly new to ACOTAR, and I still write assiduously for Harry Potter, but I lost interest in the MCU, TVD and Teen Wolf. One day I would love to resume my Red Queen fics, but I'm afraid they will be as overwhelming now as they used to be at the time I quit, so they will probably remain on hiatus until the release of the series, at which point my hyperfication will probably return so powerful it will overcome the stress updating all those stories brought me.
🍈 How many years have you been writing fanfiction?
If we count only posted things, then seven years, otherwise, roughly sixteen.
🍎 Do you read or write more fanfiction?
I think I do an equal mix of both but with work and real life I struggle to write as much as I used to do.
🍌 What is one way you've improved as a writer?
The most noticeable thing is my English, since it isn't my first language, but I must admit I'm doing better with the pacing and the way people move within scenes heavy with dialogue.
🍑 Do you have any bad habits as a writer?
I overthink way too much, and sometimes it leads me to miss deadlines and events I worked hard to participate in. The most recent example is Nesta Week: I wrote a seven chapters story, but since I still don't know if it's good enough, I will probably rework it and post it on Eris Week since the main focus was Neris. The same happened with Blackinnon Month and my Blackinnon and Jily Bridgerton AUs, so, my beloved readers, just know I feel guilty every day for not coming up with something to post and I'm sorry for the delays.
🍍 What's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?
Traffic, landscape and accident rates on the I-80 E and, for a different fic, hair curling methods from the 1800s to the 1980s (although I don't know if it's strange or not since I studied them in school, I just needed confirmation on the terminology in English)
🍉What's your favourite type of comment to receive on your work?
Every comment is deeply appreciated, but when people give feedback on things and develop their own theories about what's going to happen is top tier.
🍐What's the most fringe trope/topic you write about?
I don't know, I think I'm a pretty basic author. I have a fringe (?) ship I'm starting to like more and I suppose this is my nichest fic but I truly don't know why people haven't appreciated it. Was it because it's about Severus Snape and his creepy love for Lily? Was it because it's badly written? I don't know, I'm pretty proud of it tho.
🥭What is the hardest type of story for you to write?
Things not involving some kind of romantic or personal struggle. I like fluff, and I would love to be able to put together something wholesome one day, but as of now I can do it only if it's very short.
🍏What is the easiest type?
Romance, and to be specific the start of it. After the first kiss, and after the ship overcomes all their difficulties, I believe a good "and they lived happily ever after" is the best way for me to wrap it up and move to the next project.
🍑Where do you do your writing? What platform? When?
After starting this crazy experience armed only with notebooks, pencils and erasers, I now own a laptop and use a computer at work for eight hours a day, so it's difficult for me to write anything by hand besides notes for longer stories. I post on Tumblr and AO3, and as of when I actually write, the truthful answer is whenever I have time and I'm in the right state of mind.
🍋What is something you've been too nervous/ intimidated to write, but would love to write one day?
Fanfiction wise? The Notebook but with Jurian and Vassa as the main characters. In regards of original fiction, the correct answer is probably my own book. I have the setting, the plot, the characters and everything else ready to come to life, but I want to dedicate them the time and attention they deserve, although my constant postponing smells of fear of the size of it all.
🍇What made you choose your username?
It's my nickname + my last name. Not the best decision, but I was fourteen when my best friend at the time signed me up and she wasn't exactly aware of how Tumblr works or how I was going to use it.
Thank you so much if you've read this far. As a treat, and if they're up to it, I tag @diamondmeadow, @thelovelymadone, @siriuslychessi, @separatist-apologist and @andrigyn

🍓 How did you get into writing fanfiction?
As a teen I was a voracious reader and tried to write my own stuff based on other books I'd read. I also loved ST:TNG and wanted dearly to be in an episode and had lots of the books. I wrote my own ST stories with OC's (gratuitous self inserts), but they never went anywhere. In my late teens I read some Xena fanfic on the internet. But that was it for a great number of years.
At the beginning of 2021 I sat and watched the entirety of the MCU films in chronological order (I'd seen most of them before and was mainly a Thor gal.) I fell down the Stucky rabbithole. Deep. I decided to look up fanfic. AO3 was now a thing! I wrote (a very poor) Stucky fic and here we are, almost 3 years later
🍇How many fandoms have you written in?
As my ST stuff never made it further than my parent's old PC in the days of dial-up, I won't count it.
I've written for MCU, various Chris Evans and Seb Stan Characters and one fic for RWRB. I've been toying with writing a one-off Criminal Minds fic as a gift for a friend.
🍈How many years have you been writing fanfiction?
Three in July since I first published anything on AO3.
🍎Do you read or write more fanfiction?
I try to balance it out. If I have a period of hyperfocus writing I try to then go through a period of reading. I read on both Tumblr and AO3, so try to keep that even as well.
🍌What is one way you've improved as a writer?
Getting betas to pick me up on tense changes, overuse of words and rogue commas. Reading more. Practising. Writing outlines for longer stories so I don't go off-piste.
🍑Do you have any bad habits as a writer?
Getting bored half-way through a long fic, especially if the first few parts haven't had a lot of interaction. Which is why I try to write the whole thing before I start posting.
🍍 What's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?
Engineering courses at MIT and, for a separate fic, Violet wands, including the ways to use them and the differnt types of accessories you can use with them. I even watched a Youtube video.
🍉What's your favourite type of comment to receive on your work?
Any comment! Anything that gives me the validation I need!
🍐What's the most fringe trope/topic you write about?
I wrote a transformation into Tsum-tsum fic that was both cracky and smutty. That's pretty niche.
🥭What is the hardest type of story for you to write?
Action scenes. I loathe them. I'm constantly wondering if they are long enough, and make sense.
🍏What is the easiest type?
Short things that are either PWP or fluffy slices of life.
🍑Where do you do your writing? What platform? When?
Mainly on my elderly laptop on G-Docs, and in every moment I can - normally afterwork before dinner and on Mondays when I don't have work.
🍋What is something you've been too nervous/intimidated to write, but would love to write one day?
There are a few characters and ships I haven't written that I'd like to. And I suppose I'd like to write a proper long, over 100k fic at some point.
🍇 what made you choose your username?
When I made my AO3 account I felt as though that at 40, and only really starting in Fandom in this way, I was late to the party, so that is who I became.

Rules: 1. Always post the rules. 2. Answer the questions given by the person who tagged you. 3. Write 11 questions of your own. 4. Tag 11 people.
1. What is your favorite fictional character? Why? - I honestly have no idea. Severus Snape is high on the list. Death from The Book Theif. Quentin from The Magicians.
2. What is your least favorite fictional character? Why? -Lo-fucking-lita. I can’t stand her! I feel like she’s such a manipulative bitch who uses Humbert for her own personal gain. She’s horrible to him and pretty much everyone else in her life. She’s rude and doesn’t know how to behave. She drives me up the wall. Don’t even start me on the gum chewing. (P.S. Jeremy Irons reading the audiobook is a gift from God.)
3. Which fictional character(s) would you want to be romantically and/or platonically involved with? - Wayyyyyy too many to answer. Morpheus from The Spintered Series. Rhysand from ACOTAR. Erik from Phantom of the Opera. Short answer any Tall, Dark, and Handsome character, probably with a hidden agenda. Sev is my number one, though.
4. Do you prefer waking up early or staying up late? - It’s not so much what I prefer as what my body does. I’ve been a night owl since I was ten. Child of the moon through and through.
5. What plot event would you change in a book of your choice, if at all? - Percy turning his back on the Weasleys. I’ve seen first hand what that does to a family, and Molly and Arthur didn’t deserve it.
6. What do you like most about yourself? - At the risk of sounding super conceited, my hair. It’s long and soft and shiny and naturally straight and I love it dearly.
7. Which genres of fanfiction do you prefer reading, if at all? - Typically the cutesy romance with a nice side of smut. Every now and then I enjoy something super dark or freaky or just plain wrong. I think we all do, every now and again.
8. Which character(s) would you have wanted to be more fleshed out? Why? - ADRIAN PUCEY!!! Seriously. He’s a background Slytherin in the same year as Fred and George. He’s a chaser, prefect, and doesn’t take a side in the war. I wanna know more about him and his moral decisions.
9. What character developments and/or social interactions you wished had happened more in any book of your choice, if at all? - I always wish that there were more classroom scenes in Harry Potter. I want to know if Flitwick uses magical scratch and sniff stickers on his exams or if the advanced level astronomy students get to have camp-outs and how often does McGonagall actually teach as a cat?
10. If you had to pick only one genre of music to listen to for the rest of your life, which genre would you pick? -Hardest question ever. I guess alternative, because it can have a little bit of everything in it?
11. Would you rather have a thumb out the end of both of your knees or one thumb on the bottom of your chin? - Thumb on the bottom of my chin. I already try and hold things with my chin; this would just make it easier. Plus, maybe then I’d actually be able to do a chin-up.
My questions: 1. If you could have a dragon what color would it be? 2. What kind of polar bear is your favorite kind of polar bear? 3. If you had to swap your top two otp pairings in a sort of wife swap, who would you swap and why? How would it go? 4. If could live out your days in any fictional universe, which would it be? Would you want to stay yourself or take the place of another fictional character? 5. What was your first ship? How old were you? (No shame here.) 6. Who is the one character who you genuinely would not want to end up with? 7. If you could tell your favorite fictional character three things, what would you tell them? 8. If you met with your otp and could only give them one reason they should be together, what would it be? 9. If you could only ever read again or write again, which would you choose? 10. No reality necessary- what would your dream job be? 11. If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
