Recipe of poi saag toor dal
Toor dal online shopping would be essential for you if you want to make the recipe of saag toor dal. In this recipe, poi sag and toor dal are used as the key ingredients. The bright green poi saag gives a very brighten and shady look to the dal.

Ingredients
Ginger- 1 inch
Chopped Onion- ½
Basale leaves- 250 grams
Water- 3 cups
Green chilies- 2
Tamarind- coin-sized ball
Turmeric powder- ½ tbsp
Rentio toor dal- 1 small cup
Salt to taste
For the tadka
Garlic- 4 cloves
Dry red chilies- 1
Mustard seeds- ½ tbsp
Oil- 2 tbsp
How to make poi saag toor dal?
Wash the toor dal with running water till the water runs clear.
Now take a bowl add 3 cups of water and soak the dal for 30 minutes.
Moreover, also soak the tamarind ball in a half cup of water for 30 minutes.
Pluck the leaves of the basale from the stalks.
Now chop the basale leaves roughly and chopped onion, ginger, green chilies finely.
Drained the soaked toor dal.
Take a pressure cooker, add dal, chopped leaves, ginger, green chilies, and onions with 3 cups of water and half tablespoon of turmeric and cook it till the dal is done to mashable consistency.
Let the pressure of the cooker release on its own.
Extract all the juice of tamarind and pour all the tamarind water into the dal.
Now add salt, mix it well and boil the dal for another 2 minutes.
For the tadka, heat the oil in a small pan; add mustard seeds, chopped garlic, and dry red chilies.
Saute it till the garlic turns to golden.
Serve hot.
