Abgerny character design in my AU, Melodies category.

Okay, after publishing Beats and Effects designs, it's time to publish Melodies designs! Sorry for being absent for quite some time, it's because I have a lot of work to do to prepare for living in the dorm and going to university in a few months (yes, I'm going to go to university because I just graduated a few weeks ago). During that time, I tried to find some free time to finish drawing Melodies, and this group took me the longest to think of their outfits because I couldn't figure out how to draw them to fit their careers lol. Barry and Wally had their outfits for a long time, but Vurr, Kori, and Molly couldn't think of any. It took me 3 whole days to figure out their outfits (I was really burned out at that time, okay? When I finished my errands, the only thing I wanted to do was "rest", not draw. Drawing is just a hobby that I do when I feel like it, not all the time like many artists do). Okay, enough of that digression, let's get into today's content. As you can see, Melodies is a bit more special than the other casts. This is evident in the fact that Vurr and Wally have their own logos that reflect their animal avatars in the VR world. Kori has two designs, one before his pet chinchilla dies (Kori without the chinchilla coat) and one after his pet chinchilla dies (Kori with the chinchilla coat). And Molly has the "???" sign after her violin career. I'll slowly explain the reasons for putting these designs on the characters in order.

First up is the Vurr's. The reason I put Vurr's logo on the back of her laptop is nothing more than to "decorate" Vurr a little bit to make Vurr stand out from the rest of the characters, lol. Vurr's design is pretty "plain and bland" compared to the other characters in my opinion. So to make Vurr not look too much like a side character, I put a little effort into drawing a pink fox logo on the back of her laptop to make up for her already plain design. (Vurr's logo doesn't affect the main story. So don't expect too much from a "decoration")

The Wally logo is included because it is important to the main story and Wally in particular. If anyone has ever heard of a group of people who call themselves "Motorcycle Club", you will know what they are famous for. But if you don't know and have never heard of it before... then you should study it yourself because I am too lazy to explain it lol. If I were to explain it, it would be too long. But I will briefly tell you the background of Wally in my AU that motivated him to join the Motorcycle Club called "Pecyn Blaidd" (meaning "Wolf Pack" in Welsh).

"Wally was born into a family with a lot of problems. Mostly from his "father" who often abused him both physically and mentally. His mother often did not dare to stop him and let Wally be abused by his father often (but she still loved Wally, she was just afraid of her husband). Wally could not stand it one day and decided to run away from home temporarily. Along the way, he came across a motorcycle club called "Pecyn Blaidd" and saw their work together, which impressed Wally very much and he decided to join them immediately when the club's Vice President invited him to join because he saw potential in Wally. As time passed, Wally began to feel a "sense of belonging" in the club that he joined, something that he could not find in his own home. He had many friends in the club and was highly respected by them for his ability to coordinate with members effectively, to the point of being promoted to "Sergeant of Arms", which was quite a high rank that suited Wally's abilities. However, the club was not all good because there were many times that the club committed illegal acts and had conflicts with other motorcycle clubs. There were many times that Wally often got involved in such matters, causing problems with those close to him, especially Carl, who was his best friend and often warned him not to volunteer to do bad things that the higher-ups ordered, but Wally often did not listen and often claimed that he did it because it was his "duty" and that he had come too far to back down now. Wally's stubbornness and aggressive behavior often led to him arguing with others, to the point where some of them ended their relationship with Wally. Only Carl tolerated Wally's bad behavior because he believed that Wally could be improved if he was given the right guidance."

Why is Kori's occupation a scientist in your AU? Well, the reason might sound a bit random, but I think Kori is someone who likes to spend most of his free time burying himself in books to learn about various things. The creator said that Kori gets irritated easily and prefers to be alone. People with this personality type usually like to do quiet activities, including reading books. So Kori burying himself in books might suit him well (I think). It's also another reason why Frank likes Kori, even though Kori treats him like trash, lol. In my AU, Kori is a scientist like him (even though Kori doesn't specify that he's a scientist who's good at something like Frank) and has more knowledge than Frank, which makes him interested. Frank usually ends up getting kicked out by Kori out of frustration and annoyance because he likes to ask Kori about things too much, which distracts Kori from works a lot, lol.

The last thing is the "???" after Molly's violinist occupation. This part is considered a "secret", just like the nationality that Paul lied about in my AU. But I'll give you a hint as to why Molly has the "???". Basically, Molly has two occupations. The first occupation is a violinist. As for her second job, Molly chooses not to mention it for the safety of herself and those around her. She has a secret mission that, if completed, will reveal something that she has been "hung up on" since she was a child, and she will do whatever it takes to make it happen. (Don't worry, Molly is still a scaredy-cat, she just gets serious (in her own way) when she is faced with a danger she is willing to put herself through.)

Okay, that's the gist of it. I've explained a lot, and some of you might got too lazy to read til now. That's all for today. ive been waiting all my life on someone asking me how to do my wattpad book covers. if you're talking about my current ones, i did this one differently!

usually my other themes are only one format which is background > png > edit png to liking > download and paste font > edit font > slap some colours on it then boom

on average, like these:

but today we're gonna focus on the light blue / silver ones.

apps i used: ibispaint, canva ( download png from google, type in "character png / character render )

STEP FOUR: then, press the brush button on the png / render's layer and press "filter". swipe the filters to the left until you find "style" and then press "drop shadow"

i fawking lost my medias so i'll just use words to explain from here on out. after step 7, change the 'rukia' png layer to "overlay". i changed rukia to dabi btw. anyways, save the graphic and go to canva for the font. supposed to be step 8 and 8.1 by the way i crashed out halfway

mind you, i tweaked and crashed out a lot during the canva process. i had to slowly find one letter then to the next before putting it onto the dabi pic. but patience is key. you chill, the work is chill as well. im ngl im lazy to explain the harder processes i had to go through so i'll just do the simple ones.

Among the world's slowest writers... AHHH THIS TOOK LONGER IN ALL THE SENSES THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD. I've also misunderstood the prompt but like omg who caaaares just read this lol ok. Under read more because it's a bit long.

15- Write about your ship spending a lazy afternoon together. 

"Welp, looks like we'll take swings straight from the bottle this time."

"And why is that?" a voice came from behind, liced with mistrust. He knew you well — your habit of concealing information to avoid doing things you didn't want to do — thus the frequent clarifications. Could this man let you off the hook at least once?!

"That's because we're out of wine glasses Jim." you clarified facing back, your eyes not landing on a single suitable glassware usually stored in the kitchen cabinets.

"No we aren't, they're just all placed in the sink" grumbled Jimmy, too preoccupied with the cork jammed tight in the wine bottle to look at you "But you must first wash them. I'm sure two glasses won't tire you out completely."

You frowned at your boyfriends words, being aware of the pilling tower sitting in your kitchen sink. "No way I'm touching that today. I'm too tired after work, even for something as "simple" as that. I say we settle settle for the mugs!"

"And I don't have a say in this huh?"

"If you keep this up, I'll pull out the plastic cups. Or we could go back to original plan if you want." you jokingly threatened Jimmy, a clink of two different mugs setting on the counter emphasizing your point.

Now it was Jimmy's turn to roll his eyes "Fine. I swear you're the laziest person on the planet Earth that I've ever met. At least cut all the cheese and fruit we bought" and with that, a loud muffled pop of the cork escaping bottle's neck resounded in the room.

"Yessir!" you beamed, switching to look for a clean knife and cutting board this time.

Some time later.

After two thirds of wine bottle drained, the alcohol worked it's magic on your tired bodies and minds. You were slugged against one another on the couch, movie Jimmy put on becoming a noise in the background with colourful flashes here and there illuminating your figures in the dark room.

Despite overheating under the blanket wrapped around, you still leaned into Jimmy's warm side, his toned arm looping around to support you from falling over to his lap. Under normal circumstances, he would let you rest there, let you bury your face in his stomach, while combing through your hair with his free hand. But now he just didn't want you to lie on the snack plate you prepared, which was currently occupying your beloved resting space.

Not that you minded too much: you took plump sweet grape from the plate with your fingers and brought it to Jimmy's lips. His attention was pointed at colourful scenes playing out, however he did open his mouth ajar, enough for the fruit to fit. Next you scooped up a small square of diced cheese, then apple, and repeated the process again with different item each time until it was grapes again.

"Hey, I put this movie on for us to watch. Focus" scolded Jimmy lightly while not breaking away from the screen, his hand moving the plate away from your reach.

"To be honest, this movie is boring as hell. Something at my side is constantly distracting me...." you admitted with a sigh, taking his hand in yours.

You could feel a rumble coming from Jimmy's chest as he could already predict your answer, the corner of his mouth twitching just a bit.

"Let me take a wild guess: that something is me?"

"You're so cute when you're intoxicated. And I've missed you."

"I'd prefer if you called me handsome, stunning or just good looking." Listed Jimmy with a smirk on his lips. Despite the darkness in the room, you could tell with 100% certainly that his cheek were few shades darker now from the wine. "And besides, we hadn't seen each other for 9 hours. That's not a lot, believe me."

You clumsily circled your arms around Jimmy's torso under the blanket, sliding down to push your head against his side. There was truth to Jimmy's words you didn't want to accept nor admit: seeing each other all the time would quickly tire you both out. Those moments like this — afternoons, evenings and nights — were things you looked forward to and cherished dearly. Nether of you could imagine coming back to a place called home, with a loving person waiting for your return. You've dreamt about this for so long, and now finally you got to live out your dream...

"I know that look. You always get so sentimental when you're drunk, I can already tell what goes through that stupid head of yours" your face was sloppily lifted by Jimmy's calloused fingers, squishing your plump soft skin "Just don't think about anything unimportant and doze off. I'll take care of stuff around the house." This probably meant switching off the tv and hiding the remaining food. But also your boyfriend carrying you back to bed, carefully laying your head on your pillow and tucking you with the comforter. Like he always did.

Tears begun to well in your eye but you've blinked them away — you were truly grateful for the things you had, Jimmy knew that already. "Yeah, you're right Jim, I could use some sleep. Good night then..." you muttered, finally closing your eyes and letting sleep take it's hold of you. The sounds around you toned down until it was quiet enough for your mind to slip away.

Last thing you felt was a soothing motions of a hand slowly running up and down from your shoulder to your back.

"...good night to you too. Have a sweet dream."

My YanSim FC: Cherī Sekitan

Hello, I was bored today and I decided show you my yansim fan character, hope do you like it :)

Obviously I was lazy too to even open the photoshop and make a decent draw lol

Her name is Cherī Sekitan, she is from the class 3-1 and fall in love with Geiju Tsuburaya, the leader of the art club.

Since kid she didn't feel emotions, and she even didn't try to pretend she had. She just exist and didn't care of the others looking at her as a "weirdo". Even with all, this wasn't an impediment for make a friend: Kuroko Kamenaga.

They meet each other when they were in the elementary school because the teacher made the teams. Since it they were friends because Kuroko liked how serious and silent Cherī was, just like her :) (Obv Kuroko isn't yandere, lol, just to clarify). Kuroko know Cherī is a yandere.

A day Cherī was making a homework with a cardboard than required a cuter. She went to the Art Club for one but she accidentally cut her finger. Here is where she meet Geiju.

Geiju, shy as always offer her help, she accepted and gave him the cardboard with the cuter, their hands touched a bit and Cherī look at him helping her. She falled in love because... Because that weird connection the animes had because the character look focused the other and the background is pink with glitter and shine, lol.

After it, Cherī was focus on him all the weeks. She gave him gifts, food and letters than contain more draws than letters on his class table. She spy him in the way and followed him to his house without him notice her.

.-She joined the Light Music club not because she was too interested, just because the club was alongside the Art club.

.-After Sakura incident, she decided befriend with more people for don't raise suspicious.

.-She entered to the fanfiction world when she fall in love and wrote a spicy fanfiction about her and Geiju but with other names. She also had a Sims 3 world where she and Geiju had a son.

.-Even if in the past she hadn't emotions, she had a bit sentiment of love for her father.

.-She was happy because Geiju wasn't watching in a pervert way Mida Rana.

.-She bought lingerie in case of "emergency" (She is horny let her have hobbies)

1- When did you start playing Choices? What was the first book you played? 

I started playing in 2016, I can't remember if I read Endless Summer or Rules of Engagement first, but I ended up deleting the app after like 2 weeks cause I couldn't stop buying diamonds 😅🤦

I re-downloaded it about, ohh idk 2 years ago?

2- When and why did you join Choices fandom?

I joined the Fandom specifically on Tumblr and specifically for It Lives Within, which happened to come out right after I read the first two books 

3- How did you pick your blog name? 

I always try to seem cool and mysterious when I meet people irl, and then as soon as I open my mouth, I ruin it with some niche trivia or something, and they say,  “Oh, so you're a nerd.” 😂 Can't tell you how many times this exact phrase has been uttered to me. 

4- Pull up the first post in your archive, and tell us about it!  

This is the first Choices related post I made 😂 I was just thinking about the concept of what if characters make terrible decisions cause they're controlled by a player who is out of diamonds lol I was going to do a whole series of them (next was going to be lotr “fly on eagles to mordor?” *30 diamonds* or “simply walk”) but got lazy lol

5- Do you write fanfiction, create fan art, or are you one of those really gifted people who do both? 

Only art. God, I  WISH  I wrote too. I've thought about trying cause I have so many ideas floating around in my head, but at the end of the day, I'd rather spend my free time drawing. 

6- How long have you been creating for Choices and for any other fandoms?

For Choices, since early 2022

For other fandoms, since well, forever, but I only started posting around 2017/18

7- What is your favorite Choices book, and what is your favorite Choices book to create for?

Favorite Choices book is probably It Lives in the Woods. All of the characters were so interesting, I never got bored reading it, and it had an incredible twist that made sense but I still didn't see coming. 

Favorite to create for is probably Blades of Light and Shadow though because I am such a sucker for the fantasy aesthetic.

8- Share your first Choices fanfic or fan art that you posted with us. Do you still like it, or would you change it if you were creating it today?.

This isn't the first Choices art I made, but it IS the first I actually shared

And honestly, I DO still like it because I still remember the way I felt absolutely POSSESSED while drawing it (I hadn't drawn anything for *months*). I would definitely change the background, though. Those trees look like shit, and they're not even the correct type for the kind of forest they're in. 

9- What is your favorite piece of fiction or art that you created? 

My favorite Choices art I've done is probably this piece. 

10- Do you have a fic/art that you didn’t expect to be well received, but it was? What about one you expected to do well but found it could use a little more love?

I definitely didn't expect this one to do well at all as it was so hastily drawn

And I was sad this piece didn't get more love, it was such a dope scene and I was so excited about how the sword turned out

11- If you could only draw one style or type of art for the rest of your life, what would it be and why? 

I'm not sure if I'm interpreting the question right, but if I had to pick like a specific type of art, it would be digital, and I would want to do fan art. I have a hard time painting anything that I don't already have a deep connection with (so original art with no story behind it is usually a chore for me), and digital art is just so incredibly convenient and not messy and so so versatile. 

12 - Do you ever recognize yourself in any of your MCs or in your writing?

Because I use fiction as a way to safely process trauma/ grief/ other big emotions, each MC I make has a small part of me, whichever part I feel the need to explore at the time.

There's an amazing quote by Patrick Rothfuss that I feel explains it perfectly. 

It's from Wise Man's Fear

“These folk knew all about death. They killed their own livestock. They died from fevers, falls, or broken bones gone sour. Death was like an unpleasant neighbor. You didn’t talk about him for fear he might hear you and decide to pay a visit.

13 - What element of writing/art do you struggle with most?

I have a very difficult time making the poses seem natural and flowing. My all time favorite art is Baroque/Renaissance style and how fluid the poses are, how soft the skin looks, how delicately it's all done. Obviously, I will always have my own style, but those are things that I so want to incorporate but never seem to get quite right, and it drives me crazy 😂

14 - Do you have any neglected work you really want to finish?

Not really. I mean, I have a ton of unfinished work, but as soon as the window of inspiration passes, I just can't get myself to care enough about it to finish it (insert Jake the Dog, “now it's gone, and I don't care about it anymore!” )

15 - If someone you know in real life (who isn’t involved in fandoms) asked to see your work, would you let them? If yes, what would you show them first?

Writers: Brandon Sanderson, for sure. He's the reason I got back into art back in 2017 ish. His stories are just so emotional they push me to create. Same with @saibug1022, there is always at least one scene from every story he shares that I desperately want to draw to try to capture the emotions.

so episode 5. all my thoughts

we picked up where the last one left off, good start

annabeth saying she knows percy isn't dead... how. to annabeth and grover there should have been no way percy was alive and finding out he was should've been so emotional but instead she was like dw i know he's not dead lol. it's kind of... lazy writing? like how are you gonna write a scene as gut wrenching as percy trapping himself with a monster and telling his friends to complete the quest without him because he's actively dying and has no reason to believe he'll survive, and then make the fallout of that so... nonchalant? idk if it's a time limit thing but that was so underwhelming to me

annabeth being the one to see the fates... no

i did want them to acknowledge annabeth's lack of experience with the world outside camp but having her say "i've never seen any kind of movie" has gotta be one of the weirdest ways they could've done that

the turnstile scene was cool i guess but as we go on i'm more and more conscious of how many episodes are left and how much plot there is to get through and idk i feel like this scene could've hit the cutting room floor and we wouldn't have lost anything

i do love the ambience of the park though. maybe i'm easy to impress because the aesthetic of an abandoned amusement park is just fantastic on its own but the set was very cool. wish it wasn't so dark so i could've actually seen it ❤️

percy and annabeth having a serious conversation with 'what is love' blaring in the background is sending me

first ever seaweed brain dropped! i liked the way they did it, it felt natural

actually back to the "i've never seen a movie" thing. you're telling me that in this version of the story, in which frederick chase was apparently a great dad who treated annabeth like a gift, he never took her to the movies? or she never watched one on tv? she had a whole seven years of life in the real world before going to camp and she's never seen a movie

annabeth isn't allowed to have fears she's too smart for that apparently

i think the scene with the chair was overall well executed with some great lines and fantastic acting but... idk. they really scrapped the original scene just to do what they already did last episode. i miss the spiders i miss hephaestus tv. it felt redundant to have percy sacrifice himself again. percy this is the second time today you've been like "no dw i'll just die" do you need to talk to someone

not much to say about the grover and ares scenes bc i don't know what to make of them. i didn't mind them. ares had some funny lines. i guess my only complaint is that the grover i know would not have been so calm talking to the god of war. i'm curious to see where that cliffhanger leads

is it just me or did the pacing improve a little bit this episode?

despite how negative i sound i enjoyed episode 5 a lot more than episode 4. there are still so many weird changes, additions, and omissions though. honestly i think a big part of the reason i enjoyed this one is because i'm not expecting anything anymore. i'm not getting my hopes up about them adapting the book normally i'm just intrigued by this thing like a scientist observing an experiment. like hmm what are they doing now? fascinating *takes notes*

More old UTDR fanart dump

Time to repost more of my old utdr fanart lol, first off is everyone's favorite academic duo! When I first read Jockington's dialogue about how he and Catti first met in gym class during hula hoop day, and how Catti used him as a hula hoop substitute, I found it incredibly adorable, so I drew it. Looking back, I'm not really proud of this design I drew for Catti, it's just not super accurate to how she's supposed to look (ei short hair instead of long, missing eyeliner and grey ear insides??), thankfully I've given her a better and more accurate redesign for my newer drawings, which y'all will get to see soon-ish lol.

Next is the vessel! I personally think that the vessel will return in later chapters of Deltarune, possibly in either 5, 6 or 7, and will either be our new vessel to control if Kris abandons us, or will be our antagonist. The only thing I'm not a super big fan of here is the background, I think it looks too simplistic and wish I worked on it more. Don't question why Gaster's face is at a corner I have no idea why he is there.

And finally is the Spade King actually trying to be a good dad to Lancer! I had some small dialogue written for this that I included in the original twitter caption cuz was too lazy to put it in the drawing:

Spade King: "Do you forgive me, my son? Even after all that I've done?"

Lancer: "Of course I do, Dad! Now let me give you a hug!"

🏅 What is something you recently felt proud of in regard to your writing (finished a fic, actually planned for once, etc).

💖 I got a lot better at dialogue over the years! But I think my favorite things are conveying emotions through fic and putting the readers through an emotional roller coaster, even if it's a character (I always feel funny about calling the ppl in my fics "characters" because I only write RPF lol) the reader might not have come into the fic liking. Tbh I also think I can write a damn good ending. Not in a "plot resolution" way bc I can't write plot, but like...something emotionally powerful. Or something!

🏅 I'm such a broken record about this fic but I'm just so proud of irish cream pie. I think it's one of my 2 best fics I've written for footy fandom. Aside from the fact that I managed to sustain a 15k word threesome and have it make sense (not have like, insanely shit pacing or body parts all over the place) I had to convey a lot of conflicting emotions all at once, sometimes all 3 in the same paragraph--Franko, our POV, is a pathetic wretch and an absolute dick to his fianceé and also overwhelmed and dissociated and closeted in a way that ought to make the reader feel bad for him, and I think I succeeded at this. And also! Since I'm tooting my own horn. I think the last section of the fic is just an absolute masterpiece. Just so utterly desparing and it draws all of those emotions together. Chef's kiss to catmanu!

🌝 I still want to write a fic from Frank Lampard Sr's POV so bad. But idk how to sound like an Old Cockney Lad. I think I'll be able to get some help with that though ;)

💻 This is a fun question. I don't really do research for fics because I tend to write in the same sorts of environments that don't really need research. Maybe I'll look up what a street or building looks like or something. If I did research for fics I would probably get too distracted and lose interest in writing looool. I did look up like "what did they use for lube in the 19th century" for my lazy 19th century maritime AU.

But what I do do research for is the background of the characters. Stuff they've lived through, things they've experienced or that their family experienced, cultural things, stuff that would influence who they are today or how they experience things! Sometimes in doing this you can develop a full blown special interest in the thing itself, so Watch Out!
