Tom Yum 🍤 seafood 🍝 spaghetti
6 big prawns (deveined, head and shells removed) 2 tbsp Tom yum paste 1 onion (cut in pieces) 1 can of straw mushroom (drained and cut in halves) 1 tbsp chopped garlic 1 tbsp oil Some heavy cream Some water Dashes of fish oil Pasta of your choice
Method: 1. Cook pasta according to the instruction on it’s package till al Dante, drain and set aside. 2. Heat a pan on medium high, add ½ tbsp oil, add prawns and cook on both sides until it turns pink. Dish out and set aside. 3. In the same pan, add another ½ tbsp oil and chopped garlic, stir fry until fragrant then add in mushroom and tom yum paste. Continue to stir fry about 3 minutes. 4. Add in some water (depending on how much sauce you want) and bring to boil. Once boil, taste to see if the tom yum taste is to your liking. Adjust accordingly (add more tom yum paste if not spicy enough, add fish oil if not salty enough). 5. Turn heat to low and slowly pour in some heavy cream (a little at a time). Continue stirring until you reach your desired creamy consistency. 6. Add pasta and prawns, give it a quick toss and turn heat off. 7. Done!
Please note: Feel free to add in some clams too! I didn’t have them in hand or it’ll be even more awesome.
