today would’ve been our three year anniversary,

instead it’s just a reminder that we became strangers to each other again.

how did we end up here?

if you ever come back, I hope you remember that one of my favourite movies of all time is Lilo and Stitch, my favourite flower is a hibiscus, and that our first date (i hope) is stargazing and sleeping on your car hood so that we can wake up to go on a morning hike to catch the sunrise from your favourite trail. i'll always save my stargazing virginity for you.

i love you doesn't even encompass how much i truly love you, but it suffices.

the door is always open for you, my love. you'll always have a place in me and no matter how long it might take for you to come home, the door will be the same as you left it, the same colour, the same build, the locks haven't changed, and the light on the porch is always on.

why didn’t you keep your promise?

why is it so easy for you to go back to her but so hard for you to try and work things out between us?

I hope her love is so much more fulfilling than mine was

And I hope I never get the chance to know about it again

Because I don’t want to know that I wasn’t enough for you and that the love I gave wasn’t enough for you to work things out, that she able to touch you physically when I never even met you because of the distance.

And most importantly, because I don’t want to know you love someone else so much more than you loved me when I still love you.

at the darkest hour of the night

I read our conversations all the time, the good, the bad, the horny, and the sad;

and for a moment it’s like I’m there with you experiencing what it was like to be loved by you

oh how lucky I was to have gone through that, and how lucky I am to be able to say that I loved someone and they loved me back.

except, you don’t love me anymore, you love her, isn’t that why you chose her?

then my heart, that is swelled with the small joy that our past brought, turns blue again, my eyes well tears, and I’m painfully reminded that you’re no longer here
