Question, do you hate the ship tomedd? Or just the shippers of tomedd?

I hate both tbh. I hate the ship cuz it makes me uncomfortable (and also gives me some bad memories) and i hate SOME of the shippers cuz they complain about TomTord all the time like it was a sin or some bullshit like that.

Ofc not all of them are like that. I do know some people who like TomEdd and dislike TomTord BUT, instead of complaining, they mostly ignore it or will fully respect the ones who ship it. Those ones are different for me. We need more TomEdd shippers like those in this fandom tbh

edit cuz i forgot this: im not saying TomEdd shippers can't interact with me. i really don't mind!! Ofc i have TomEdd fans on my DNI, but it's only the toxic ones. If u don't complain about TomTord 24/7 then ur fine to follow and interact! My DNI only applies to pissy TomEdd shippers ;)

thoughts: (going off of the theory that tom + tord were dating in secret and broke up that i found on youtube)

what if tom and tord broke up due to tords plan with world domination and he said he was fine with his violent tendencies but that this was too much and that him actually going thru with it would be the final straw (like tom literally owns a fucking military tank and tord w a bunch of pistols, they love that shit)

they werent constantly at each others throats within older eddisodes up until 25ft!

i think they broke up around 25ft under the seat (w beginning w tord leaving) and they MAD BITTER but never spoke again until The End, with Tord constantly pissing him off and Tom throwing back snarky remarks since they’re not on good terms anymore

with The End pt2 with toms extreme aggression when shooting the harpoon as all that anger with what he experienced with tord has been bottled up and is taking back revenge for leaving and hurting him. when tord is sitting on the hill, he’s thinking about the past and what he had, all to lose it in the end

Maybe because of the hypocrisies i've seen from some TomEdd shippers. Again, this is just my interpretation of it.

People are always criticizing TomTord all the time and always ignoring problematic TomEdd artists out there (some examples: idanpaola and nrccss), which are not a lot but could be criticized too. In my personal opinion, It's as if the fandom treats TomEdd shippers like "saints," even though there is a bad side too.

It also makes me mad on how some TomEdd shippers will treat TomTord like a demon or like a "sin" and then put TomEdd on a stupid pedestal like if it was the best ship of all the time (spoiler: it's not. All the ships have their way to be special and should be respected. Ofc there's toxic shippers but they should be ignored and blocked, I'm talking about the nice ones)

Also in my personal experience, I've seen more toxic TomEdd shippers than toxic TomTord shippers, and seeing TomEdd shippers being pissy over TomTord made me hate TomEdd even more.

Don't get me wrong: TomEdd is a nice ship and also has their way to be special. But genuinely, I personally can't see TomEdd as something I could like. It's just too uncomfortable for me :(

Idk if my opinion is valid, but I hope this can answer your question. This is just my opinion based on what I've seen in my days on the Fandom btw

Summary: I hate TomEdd more than TomTord because of people who ships them are pissy over TomTord and because they get treated as saints or like angels.

Eddsworld has come back and there's obviously going to be some new fans

So I'll repeat myself

Do not tag your art of the characters with the actual last names of the characters, especially ship art or not sfw art

It's #eddsworld tom, #ew tom, #tom eddsworld and stuff along those lines

NOT #tom ridgewell or #tomska

The character is not the person and especially now that he's not involved

This goes for the other guys too

And now, since I know I'll get some comments or messages about it like I did last time, here's some answers:

"Zombie Attack 2 had Matt & Tord's actual last names"

That video is from 14 years ago and before the move to youtube where Eddsworld got super big. Ever since then the actual last nes of the characters have not been used

"But the credits say they star as themselves!"

Most of pre-legacy says that, from Fan Service onward it says "X as Y" instead of "X as themselves"

Last episode to say that was Hammer and Fail which was almost a decade ago guys

Apparently, and I can't verify this, he did because of unwanted attention

Furthermore Patryk Dudulewicz (voice of Patryck note the c in the name which is on the character's name card and credit) did have a long ass rant due to all the tagging stuff since he couldn't google his actual name without seeing it

Paul ter Voorde also asked to stop using his actual last name

You could call these two Pau and Pat as an alternative if you would rather use different names all together

The shipsworld tag is a great tag honestly as a collective

as for your rule 34 art, sinsworld is always the sneaky tag. sin isn't referring to shipping it just seems to be the lemon tag
