Hey guys !!! I hope everyone in this wonderful fandom is doing amazing <3 Recently, my friend and I have come up with a very interesting and fun event that we're hoping you all would like to participate in. We haven't really seen surprise prompts and drabble weeks for Levihan before, so we decided to make one! Also a very fun contest with cool awards too.
Getting straight to the point, the reason why this event is different from an usual prompt week is because we are only going to be focusing on drabbles here. (And also because the prompts won't be predetermined and given to you beforehand)
(Note: this is also open to artists and other content creators. We will be making another post tomorrow explaining how the event works for them. Till then, the writers can continue)
✒ A drabble is a short work of fiction of precisely one hundred words in length. The purpose of the drabble is brevity, testing the author's ability to express interesting and meaningful ideas in a confined space. (YeS I stole it from google)
As a writer myself, due to the limited word limit, drabbles can be a bit of a struggle sometimes, and that is primarily the reason why this whole event is also somewhat more of a writing practice (other than the fact that we need to get those numbers on AO3 up haha)
Without wasting much time, let's get straight into the details, and how this is really going to work, what are surprise prompts and the contest and its awards of course.
▶ How long are your entries really supposed to be? Well Google says 100 words but that's way too unfair so your fic should be = to or under 1000 words. The maximum you can go up to is 1500.
▶ Are there any certain prompts/themes these drabbles should be on? Yes, and that's what we are going to talk about next.
▶ And what are surprise prompts? Okay so remember back when in school, your annoying math teacher would take a surprise quiz out of nowhere without informing you? Yeah something like that but its not that bad. Also, its a lot more fun than math.
Basically your prompts will be given to you a day before you need to post them. so its really just a writing practice and there is no pressure, so don't think about the quality or something. This is about scribbling down something quick without a lot of planning.
The prompts are also going to be chosen from an OTP prompt generator, so they are going to be uhm interesting and fun to work.
We have a theme for each day (like angst, fluff etc) and the mods will choose 4 random prompts beforehand for each of these days. At the time of giving the prompts to the participants, we will run a machine to choose one randomly out of the 4. So even the mods don't know what the actual prompt is going to be for the day.
The themes for each day (except Wednesdays and Thursdays, we will get to them later)
Angst Mondays
Trope Tuesdays
Fluff Fridays
Comic Saturdays (this is for the artists, so you can ignore it)
Smut Sundays
Now, here's the challenge (and probably my favorite part about the event) -- The prompts you get are not exclusively going to be in accordance with the themes for each day.
For example, you can definitely get this for Angst Mondays :
Prompt : "Levi having to rescue Hange from a pack of kittens/puppies."
Now its up to you, with the power of levihan on your side, to write an angsty drabble based on this prompt, (okay fine, the prompts probably won't be this off bat but still)
**Exception, : for trope Tuesdays, you won't be getting a prompt but a particular trope like (enemies to lovers, protective levi, caring hange etc)
▶ What time will you exactly get the prompt then? So basically, if Levihan drabble week begins on Tuesday, 25th May, you will getting your trope (prompt for the other days) around Monday afternoon-ish. And you are allowed to post until Tuesday midnight, before Wednesday begins. (Wednesday and Thursday are contest days which we will talk about later, so you don't have to worry about getting another prompt on Tuesday and finishing it on Wednesday itself)
▶How will you get your prompt? And any other details? We'll be making another post later where we will dive deep into the timezone specifics and how you will get the prompt, and what you will tag your posts with so we can see your stuff and reblog it.
You will get the prompt for fluff Friday around Thursday afternoon, and then the writers will have a break as Saturday is for artists. Friday night, you will get the prompt for smut Sunday you will have Saturday as a break in between before posting your smut on Sunday.
The same formula applies to angst Mondays.
1st June, Tuesday, last day of the week will be the prize day. We are gonna talk about the prize day in the next section.
Wednesday and Thursdays (The contest days)
So, first of all, this is optional. If you are participating in the rest of the drabble week, its okay if you leave to opt out of the contest. Similarly, you can also just participate in the contest and not do the other days. It's up to you.
The people participating in the contest would be divided into two groups. There are going to be two winners.
Suppose we have group 1 and group 2, a random participant from each group will be chosen. This chosen participant is called the selector. Its purely luck and a machine that chooses the selector. The selector gets to choose a prompt (from a list the mods will give them) Suppose the said selector is from group 1, then the prompt they chose will be given to group two, and everyone in group two have to write on that. The selector from group two will do the same thing for group 1 members.
All of the preparation for the contest will be done beforehand, and the selectors will be informed before the week begins. The selected prompts will be given to both groups Tuesday night. By Thursday evening their works should be posted.
The word limit for Contest Drabbles can be extended to 3000 words. This is ONLY for the contest.
After all works are submitted by Thursday evening, there will be a voting period which will stretch till 1st June, Tuesday. During this period, group 1 will read group 2's stuff, and group 2 will do the same for group 1. Then they will vote for their favorite fics accordingly, the fic with the maximum votes from both groups wins. The mods will be supervising this, and reading the stuff too.
▶How do we vote? All the details related to voting will also be explained in a different post.
▶What are the awards? Okay, so one thing unique about drabble week is that there are going to be no permanent mods. We will probably have these events rather frequently, and the mods will change for each event. The mods will decide the awards so different awards for different months.
This month, the gifts are :
Well detailed and long comments on 2 chapters of a fic of your choice. These can also be two different one shots if you want.
Beta reading for a few (3-4 chapters) for any fic the winner wants (the other details can be discussed in dms)
The winners will have the opportunity/chance to become mods for the next week, next month. This is also a great way to make new friends and work with them while holding an event!
To participate, PLEASE FILL OUT THIS FORM. The last date to fill in is 20th May, so do it before that. We'll be making another post for the artists soon, posting it tomorrow most likely. You will be constantly updated, so don't worry!
if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. Thank you so much, we will be looking forward for your participation! Much love.

Crossing the Line
Who’s ready for another lyric analysis?
In general, I want to discuss why I think Cass didn’t respond well to Rapunzel’s “request” and how it could have gone differently. It starts with the very first line.
“This has to stop now, whatever it is that you’re going through”
Here we see Raps trying to get Cass to stop and “make things right” by surrendering the moonstone before she (Raps) listens to why she (Cass) did so in the first place
By placing the emphasis on Cass’ current actions rather than her emotions, Rapunzel essentially tells Cass that her feelings don’t matter. She’s basically saying, “I don’t care why you did what you did, and you need to stop because that’s wrong.”
Of course Cass’ actions were wrong. She shouldn’t have taken the moonstone out of anger and years’ worth of frustrations, but she did. It’s too late to take it back, but she can still “make things right”.
The question is: does she really want to?
Honestly, I probably wouldn’t. Because when Raps sings that first line, she’s already pulling rank on Cass and making her feel like she’s felt for so long. Now with that being said, I get why Raps put her foot down. It’s easy to say she had to in order to persuade Cass to do the right thing. But we should remember two things
Raps doesn’t have the best record when it comes to putting her foot down with Cass (think Rapunzel and the Great Tree, the argument moments before “Waiting in the Wings”)
She had other options for dealing with Cass’ betrayal
Yes, I’m sure the shock of it played into her decision-making abilities at the time, but that’s no reason to say she had to respond to Cass the way she did. She had choices. It may not have been easy, but she could have taken a moment to stop and think about why Cass would do something like that. It wasn’t like she just did it on a whim. I think from the moment they left The House of Yesterday’s Tomorrow, Cass either pondered the idea or had already decided to take the moonstone. Either way, there was a lot of emotion behind why she did what she did, and Raps doesn’t even try to unpack that. She simply goes to the surface level and demands that Cass fix her mistake.
If I recall, earlier in the episode Raps stopped to think when it seemed like Eugene had betrayed her. So why couldn’t she do that for Cass? Once again, no one stands up for her or tries to understand her motivations (just like in Rapunzel and the Great Tree).
And that’s all just based on the first line of the song.
“We’ll fix it together me and you just like we’ve always done”
I’ll try not to analyze every single line, but I had one thing to say about this line before moving on. In Rapunzel’s mind, she and Cass work as a team to solve problems and work things out between them. What I believe happens, however, is Raps offers apologies with no change in behavior and so nothing is ever actually “fixed”. I’m not saying Cass doesn’t ever do this, but it’s definitely not to the extent of which Rapunzel does. A key example of this can be found in Under Raps, where Rapunzel yet again ignores Cass’ boundaries on information she wants to keep secret.
“Cassandra, listen”
“I’m listening!”
This really gets me because the irony of Raps telling Cass to listen when really she’s the one that needs to lend an ear. Cass took the moonstone because Raps failed to listen to her all those other times when she ignored her boundaries or feelings of concern. And she has the a u d a c i t y to tell Cass to listen. Please.
“I know it isn’t true”
What exactly is Raps referring to here? She knows what isn’t true? The fact that Cass feels justified in taking the moonstone or that she sees her friendship with Raps as being unfair? Or that Cass really wants to take the moonstone and plans to get away with it? This line could refer to any number of things or all of the above. Whatever the case, Raps kinda invalidates Cass’ thoughts and feelings by saying this because it implies, “That can’t be right” or “You’re just not thinking straight”. During this particular moment and all throughout season 3, Raps can’t seem to understand that Cass just wants her to stop invalidating her feelings.
“So before another line gets crossed and everything we’ve had is lost, just wait”
“Wait? No, I won’t wait”
I don’t want to state the obvious, but once again, Raps is more concerned with Cass being a good girl and doing the right thing than she is with her feelings, which is funny coming from someone who places such a high value on doing what feels right in your heart. Anyway, Cass doesn’t do well with the word “wait”, and it’s from then on that we see her show little mercy or shame. Before this, I think there’s a good possibility of her at least considering handing over the moonstone. But not after Rapunzel says “wait”. That word is a trigger for Cass, and she’s done waiting.
“There’s a line between the chosen and the rest”
Clearly Cass sees herself as “the rest” here because as much as she wants to be chosen, her life is full of people and moments that declare the opposite. Okay, so the Captain chose to adopt her, that’s one positive example. But everything else? Gothel chose to abandon her. The Captain chose other people to be guards instead of her. And on and on it goes. When she’s standing next to Rapunzel, she’s definitely never the “chosen” one, which makes sense given their positions within the kingdom. Yet many times throughout the series, I feel like it’s fair to say that Cass isn’t even “chosen” by Rapunzel when it comes down to her and Eugene. If the situation demands loyalty or advice, Rapunzel often turns to Eugene. This isn’t to say that she never goes to Cass for these things, but even in their friend group, she’s in last place. Sure, Eugene is Raps’ boyfriend/basically fiancé, but she really hasn’t known him much longer than Cass when you think about it. Anyways...
“Me here with the luckless, you there with the blessed”
It’s not fair for Cass to get mad at Rapunzel for having all this newfound power and authority when she finds out she’s a princess, but it still hurts. And what really bothers me is that in this scene, as Cass continues to sing, Rapunzel tries to make her way through the rocks towards her. Now, we shouldn’t be surprised. That’s the kind of person she is, the one who would do anything (“give anything” hint hint) to help her friends. But I think it would have been more beneficial for Raps to just stop and listen to Cass instead of trying so hard to get to her. Basically all she says once she does reach her is “Cassandra, wait!” and we all already know that’s not the best response.
“I’m crossing the line / And I’m done holding back”
The freedom on Cass’ face when she sings this line just fills me with lots of emotion. She’s ready to take hold of her destiny and while I wish it didn’t come at the expense of her friendship with Rapunzel, I can’t say I’m not happy for her.
“I’m taking what’s mine / Every drop, every smidge”
The reason I think Cass goes so hard on the powerlust is because she’s used to having nothing to very little of anything. So when she finally gets to have something for herself (albeit by force), she’s all in.
And last, but certainly not least...
“If I’m burning a bridge let it burn”
and...
“And for us, if we’re over, that’s fine!”
Not only are these lines power moves, but I think they’re heavily based on emotion. Cass is channeling everything she’s felt based on Rapunzel’s actions lately and releasing them in this moment. Going back to the power move thing, I see Cass as an Ennagram 8. I’m a 9, so I can’t always relate, but it does seem that type 8’s typically make power moves when upset. I’m not sure if Cass completely means it when she says that she’s fine if her friendship with Raps is over, but I do think she’s at least prepared to be fine in case that happens. In her eyes, Raps probably wouldn’t want to still be friends with her after this, so by taking the moonstone, Cass assumes they’re done. After all, she’s not going to not take the moonstone. And she can’t see how they can be friends with things the way they are.
Final thoughts: Cass just wanted Raps to listen. Okay, and for her to show some respect every once in a while and care about Cass’ thoughts/feelings for once, but is that really a lot to ask? Please feel free to reblog with any other bits of lyric analysis. I love doing this even though it is time-consuming and slightly emotionally draining.

Rules: answer 10 questions, write 10 questions for people, tag 10 people
(I will be breaking one of the rules here, I don’t have 10 people to tag :’) or I will just randomly tag people that re-blog my nonsense, I’m so sorry, strangers).
thank you @see-it-all-so-clear for the tag
1. What was the last piece of media that made you cry? Why (optional)?
I read a short story recently that was the sweetest thing ever and so pure and so peaceful. I was tearing up from the middle on. And by the end, I was crying. It wasn’t even sad, at least I read it as something not sad, it was just filled with emotion and I loved it so much.
2. Do spoilers actually bother you or not? Do you ever seek them out deliberately?
This is a very complicated thing for me. If I want something spoiled, I will seek it out, but if someone spoils something I don’t want to know, I will probably never finish that. For example: my first partner spoiled Death Note when I started watching it and I have never finished it (it’s been 10 years already since then), and I also don’t have any plans to finish it ever. And I only had a couple episodes left. But if I feel like I know where the story is going and I just want to make sure I don’t send my brain to some kind of a wild chase, I might just check to confirm if I’m correct or not.
3. If you were to describe yourself using a colour palette, which colours would you use?
I would use black, greys, violets and purples.
4. If you were a fictional character, which songs would you want people to associate you with and which headcanons about you would the audiences probably make, based on your life so far?
I have no idea about the songs, sorry? But I’d love to know what songs people associate with me irl, I think that would be so fun to know. But for the headcannons?
a) Depressed angsty witchy headstrong bastard, who gets into a lot of trouble they didn’t have to get into, because they have to solve all the problem of all the people they care about and because someone said: “You can’t do this!”
b) Probably makes weird concoctions in the basement.
c) Has at least 12 knives and all of them have names.
d) Either clumsy as fuck or maybe it’s a curse passed down from last-born child to last-born child that makes it impossible to go a few days without a stupid injury.
5. If you were to design a card or a tarot deck, what pattern or motif would you put on the back of the cards? Would there be anything special about the deck? What would be your inspiration for the motifs?
I would probably make them black and white in the front, with just one colour added for contrast. The imagery would definitely be a bit macabre, with elements of death and decay, but also with new life from plants. The backs would probably be completely mirrorable (this isn’t a word but I know you get what I mean), with plant/foresty imagery. The colour used for the contrast would also be colour of the edge, so that when they’re stacked they’re not just plain white. I’d probably add something shiny somewhere, like a metallic sheen that can only be seen in certain lights.
6. Are there any songs that you can’t listen to anymore because they remind you of someone or something too much? Would you still choose to associate the song with them if you had the chance not to?
Not anymore, I try to disregard the pain, I guess? But in the past, there were certain songs that carried too many painful memories. Some still remind me of people or events from my past, but it’s not as painful anymore. I can’t really turn that off, the memories come back vividly whether I want them or not. I’d rather have the ability to sever the connection, so I could fully enjoy the song again.
7. Do you have any piercings? If no, are you planning on getting any? If yes, are you planning on getting more?
Yes, yes I do. And yes, I’m planning many many more, re-piercing some that closed since I had to take the jewellery out and adding some completely new. Can’t wait!
8. Which/what kind of noises do you find the most soothing? Which/what kind of noises annoy you the most?
I really like the sound of waves and water flowing and rain. But I hate sounds that have a rhythm to them, like ticking clocks, or water falling from the tap or any kind of screeching noises. Also, the noise Kayako makes in The Grudge. Fuck that.
9. Do you like reading poetry? If yes, what kind? If no, why not? (Optionally, add a poem recommendation)
I love poetry. I really don’t have a preference, I used to prefer anything connected to romanticism and decadence, but now I just like poetry for itself. For recommendations I’d say : Pablo Neruda - Sonnet XVII (one of my favourite love poems). I only had half a coffee so far, so I can’t remember any other poets right now, sorry.
10. Which fictional characters would you say influenced your personal development the most, if any?
I don’t really think there is one? I used to consume so much books and movies and series that everything I am is more of a mishmash than one certain character. Or as I like to call it.. a Confusion.
My questions:
1. What book marked you the most and why? Did you actually finish it? Do you often reread it?
2. If you suddenly got the chance to move any place in the world and build your on safe space there, where would you go? What kind of a place would you create?
3. What is your opinion on body-modification? Do you partake in it or do you think it’s just a whim? If you do partake, what is your favourite “piece”? Optional: if you could modify anything on your body, what would it be?
4. If you met your younger self, would you try and avoid you or would you approach and try to give advice? If an older version of yourself visited you right now, would you listen to them and follow their advice?
5. What special magical ability would you choose to have, if you could? How would it help your life? Why would you choose it?
6. What is you favourite herb? Why? Do you use it?
7. People closest to you invited themselves to your place tomorrow. You want to be a good host and make something sweet to eat. What do you make? Optional: Include a recipe.
8. What is your favourite smell? Do you like scented candles, incense or oil diffusers? If you could make it smell like anything you want, what would your perfect perfume smell like?
9. If you’re home alone, do you like to sit/read/create in silence or do you need something to break itt? If yes - does sound bother you? If no - what do you listen to? Optional: include media recommendations to break the silence.
10. Do you enjoy board games? If no - what do you do to entertain when people are over? If yes, what are you favourite ones? Optional: what is a board game you always wanted to try, but don’t have friends who are into it?
Thanks to my activity page and you people reblogging my nonsense in the last week or so, I tag: @see-it-all-so-clear @arcana-majeure @notwastingtoday @whitemoths - and this is all folks. If anyone else wants to do it, please feel free to do so! :)

How to deal with overwhelming work
Everyone, neurodivergent or not, deals with work piling up for whatever reason. For us neurodivergent folks, though, this work can become overwhelming very fast. Once things become overwhelming, we start to shut down.
This reaction is obviously not very helpful, especially since things tend to pile up more often for us.
Here’s a list of coping mechanisms (with important parts underlined and running example italicized for ease of reading) (and yes the running example is for me irl)
1. Just list everything
Don’t worry about putting them in a specific order, just find everything you need to do and write them down.
It’s 7:00pm and I have to clean everything, shower, watch two video lectures, take a quiz by 11:59, pack, write a short story, write two critical response papers, write two volunteering journals, write goals statement, read chapters 6-12, calc homework, it gets better letter
2. Group work into categories
This can be done in whatever way most makes sense to you. For me, I find it most helpful to use the categories: overdue, due today, due tomorrow, future stuff. This helps me manage when to tackle each task.
Overdue: two lecture videos, it gets better letter, chapter 6
Due Today: pack, clean everything, shower, quiz
Due Tomorrow: two volunteering journals, goals statement, short story
Future Stuff: two critical response papers, chapters 7-12, calc homework
3. Focus on one category
Take one of the categories that you most want to get done. If this category is still overwhelming, that’s okay. You can either refer back to step 2 to further divide your work or continue to the next step.
I typically pick what is due today because that means less stuff will have to go in the overdue category later.
4. Rank items in category
Okay, so we’ve essentially created a small to-do list so far. Now, all we have to do is figure out what we’re going to work on first. Rank your list by whatever makes the most sense to you. I’ll often put things other people depend on me for at the top of the list because that helps motivate me. Other options include by urgency, time intensivity, difficulty, or how much you like to do a task.
Ranked (by time intensivity): quiz, pack, shower, clean everything
5. Break down items into smaller tasks
If a task itself is overwhelming (which is often), a good way to approach it is by breaking it down into super manageable pieces. Do this until each piece seems like no trouble at all. I often have trouble focusing long enough to write essays, so I’ll break it down so small so each task is something like label paragraphs.
Clean everything: pick up clothes, move dishes to sink, put pencils in pencil holder, put any bedding like thing on bed, stack school stuff into a pile, put trashcan on chair, throw trash away, etc.
6. Let your attention drive you
Sometimes our brains don’t like letting us focus on one thing. We get bored, drift off in a small fantasy, or honestly do any number of things. To combat this, let yourself skip from task to task. If you start zoning out on task A, stop and move onto task B. If you’re on task D, move to task A. Unless hyperfocus kicks in for us ADHD folk, our brains aren’t going to like giving undivided attention to one thing, so don’t.
If you have any strategies, reblog or message me and I can add them on!
