Remembering our brother in arms Steve Dillon today. Huge thanks to my friend art collector Chris Wright who gifted me Brett's original pencil prelim for the cover we did together way back in 2007. Brett was too ill at the time to draw much, so he asked me to help him complete the cover. For me it was a great experience collaborating with him. I suggested adding a giant krrool head behind Kano, and Brett was excited about it as he was a big Carmine Infantino fan ( he loved the Flash )and he felt that would make it like an old Flash cover! This will go up above my desk in my new studio. Some little things we lose to history... others we salvage. When my friend Tom Frame, @insta2000ad 's most famous letterer died, I helped his family clean out his home as they had to hand back the property. His desk was dismantled and these were the bits still on it, from before he did his digital work. His old dip pens, chewed pencils and ephemera. His daughter didn't want them, so I saved them in a pencil case in the hope that if we ever have a proper Comic art museum in the UK they can live there.
