Breakfast in Hollywood (1946)

A movie version of the making of an episode of Tom Breneman's popular morning radio show featuring Breneman's hosting antics, music by Nat 'King' Cole, Spike Jones and others, and weaving in lightweight drama following the stories of various audience members before, during, and after the show with Breneman good-naturedly and magnanimously solving everyone's problems. Breakfast in Hollywood is so good-hearted and friendly with old-fashioned grace that I enjoyed it more than was probably justified.

Sarah Van Dyke appeared in special appearance of Tom Breneman's Breakfast at Sardi's (sponsored by KFBK and the Sacramento Bee at the Memorial Auditorium) held in Sacramento, Dec. 11, 1944. She was born July 11, 1839 in Georgetown, Brown County, Ohio.

April 28, 1948, Tom Breneman died unexpectedly before his popular radio show "Breakfast in Hollywood." The radio show was so successful that a movie was made, creating a fictional account of what happened before, during and after the show.

Chestnut) from September 10 through October 20, 2019. The Tony Award ® Best Play Winner OSLO will make its Chicago Premiere with TimeLine Theatre’s production at Broadway In Chicago’s Broadway Playhouse. The digital lottery will begin September 9 at 9AM, and 12 tickets will be sold for every performance at $25 each. The lottery will happen online only the day before each performance. Seat locations vary per performance.
