Do you have any real happy moments from any of your main AUs?
Mahiru sends the first photo albums out after the first year and there are scenes of everyone flipping through them and… it's happiness. It's Sakura and Hina's wedding. It’s Gundham and Ibuki being Gundham and Ibuki. It’s a picture of Nekomaru and Akane messing with Miu’s hair. (Miu is in her undercut phase. It's not working out too well but that's okay.). It’s Kokichi sprawled out on the couch in a Fortnite shirt and gym shorts, laying on as many people as possible.
It’s Taka and Mondo dancing in their kitchen. It’s Junko making Mukuro give her a piggyback ride. It’s Hiroko’s girls in the kitchen together. It’s Himiko and Tenko and Toko laughing together in Toko’s living room, and Himiko’s giggling with Tenko next to her, Toko’s snort-laughing but she doesn’t care. It’s Ryoma crying over a kitten. It’s Nagito, Chiaki and Hajime with their arms around each other, just beaming. There's a whole page of Mikan and Kazuya in their house, and then there's one slightly blurry one of Mahiru in a garden that's a distinctly different style than the others. Mikan took that one.
There’s a picture of Leon and Gonta in school, and Leon has his feet up on the desk and he’s shooting spitballs at Gonta. Gonta’s just sitting politely with his books stacked neatly. There's like seven of them stuck to his wing housing and he's just neatly highlighting things. There’s a picture of Hiyoko and Yuta on a “date” that’s just a date. There are pictures of Hiyoko and her dad.
There's a picture of Teruteru fishing for some reason. Through the lens, he looks like himself. Why is he fishing though.
There’s a picture of Tsumugi sewing stuff for her Etsy shop. A picture of Mukuro and Kyoko on a date at a fancy restaurant, and Mukuro’s outfit is godawful. A picture of Kyoko, Makoto and Byakuya leaning on each other.
A picture of Kaito falling off a roof and into a pool (he was going to do a cool trick, but he slipped. He’s okay, Maki healed him. "Stop MOVING you broke your foot." "I’m FIIINE!"). There’s a picture of Hifumi and Kirumi sitting at the table and Celestia doing the dishes, and they’re all smiling. There’s a picture of Tenko tackling Kaito for saying something rude.
A picture of Kiibo and Miu being adorable (Kiibo is wearing Miu’s sweatshirt that says “Hot Stuff” on it.).
After the first year of photo albums, they all start sending their own pictures in too, so it’s not just Mahiru’s. There’s Ibuki’s blurry phone selfies, a picture she and Peko took when they were waking up, Gundham doing a silly pose, Kazuichi falling over or something. You’ve got Himiko’s pictures that she takes when she’s lying on the couch so they’re from a lower angle. Hiyoko just sends in a bunch of selfies. Yuta is in some of them they're on a "date". They're at the top of the ferris wheel and he's kissing her cheek and she’s rolling her eyes and it's like. A "date". Makoto sends in a funny one of Byakuya where he's in the middle of talking. He’s saying "Tell them Naegi" about like not wanting pickles. There’s a picture of Mondo and Kirumi, and they look so happy and relaxed.
Hiyoko and Yuta get married at like 22 for the gift registry. Everyone's like not sure whether to attend or not, except, like, Chihiro. Chihiro is HYPED. Also Hiroyuki and Taichi are definitely going to be there. And Hina and Sakura. And Gundham and Ibuki. And Komaru. Actually, there are quite a few people who are excited (or mostly excited) to be there. Hiroyuki is like “So maybe it's just for the gifts but she's happy.”. Ibuki thinks it’s hilarious. “PEKO BABE WHY DIDN'T WE THINK ABOUT DOING THIS BEFORE”. Hiroko’s girls all go and sit together. There's an actual semi emotional speech from Hiyoko and they Actually Kiss and then everyone's like. Wow huh they were dating. And then Yuta yells sike and everyone's like you're literally married now you can stop. "SIKE" "..You're holding your wife's hand.". Ibuki starts laughing so hard she loves her little sister so much. Ibuki, Gundham, Chihiro and Hiroyuki help Hiyoko get ready beforehand. Sakura, Hina and Komaru help Yuta get ready. They’re both legitimately nervous about it. It's about the hiyoko commitment issues partially. If she's not actually involved with Yuta, he can't get hurt.
At the end of the reception, Ibuki says something to Hiyoko along the lines of "Yuta really cares about you, you know. He wouldn't have done this for so long if he didn't.". "What do you mean, it's a joke! It's so funny!" "People don't offer to marry you as a joke, Hiyoko." and they both look over at Yuta who's talking with Komaru and laughing and he sees them looking and looks over and just beams. He loves his wife! He has the whole time! And if Hiyoko wanted it to be a joke, Yuta was fine with that, because he could still be with her in some way. And Hiyoko doesn't WANT to feel love but her heart swells when Yuta smiles at her just. So full of joy.
At night, when they're alone, Hiyoko just says something like "If I wanted to do this for real, what would you say?". She's not even looking at him. "I would say that if that's what you wanted to do, I would be down.". And then he pulls her into the biggest hug. Sometimes you realize you love your husband after you marry him and that's okay. The next day Hiyoko's frantically texting her groupchat with Gundham and Ibuki like "OH MY GOD I LIKED HIM FOR REAL IT WASN'T A PRANK". Gundham is like yes I'm aware. Gundham Knew. He’s got the brother senses.
Nekomaru would be so affectionate with Angie to make up for the fact that she didn’t feel like she was able to touch people for so long. He and Tenko both go out of their way to do stuff like that. Tenko's always holding her hand. Nekomaru's messing with her hair, patting her on the back (and of course he gives the best hugs). Angie was so scared to touch Nekomaru the first time, what if it was a fluke what if this time she DOES turn him gold but just. He doesn't and she's so happy she could cry.

Dangan Persona AU
Ideas for 5th palace
(This is where I really wanted to start it)
Ruled by Toko Fukawa.
Captive is Komaru Naegi (stuck running through endless halls in search for a way out of the top floor, repeatedly dragged back to her starting position by the guards whenever caught; will find an exit, only for it to be a door without stairs to fall to her death if not rescued in time).
Shadow manifests as a classical "madwoman in the attic" that switches faces like the mayor from the Nighmare Before Christmas (the more jokey one is Toko's shadow while the morose/scary one is Syo's).
Turns into a lewd, semi vampiric murderous demon that switches when turned upside-down (yes, the lower mouth jokes are intentional) when finally fought, using Psychic and buff/debuff skills up the wazoo, along with some Almighty attacks. Also has raven guards to do her bidding in the fight to give wider attack variety
Palace is like a classic Bedlam house asylum/romantic Victorian manor (depending on section) where the inmates are all ones driven to madness or overly sexualized but also change when the personality in charge changes, either becoming harmless or brutal enemies depending on the marks on their straitjackets. Helps the party more often than not but sometimes when it's either solve puzzle or keep the bunch of shadows happy, it really sucks
This one is definitely different, mostly because Komaru lived through the whole DR timeline, but it's not like I can give Toko anyone else that she was close with in the original series so what are you gonna do? She keeps Komaru more like an interested researcher keeps a favored subject, with all the enrichment and awards that she can offer once Komaru completes her "challenges", then having her brought back to rest. Which Komaru doesn't like because she has been kidnapped still and has no idea what's going on, so she's trying to escape constantly
The real Toko has been trying to guide her out of here remotely, but there are obstacles in the way that the party has to remove with puzzles. When they finally get to the top floor and find Komaru to escort her down, that's when the Shadow seals them in with her. Toko still does her best to defend Komaru, and Syo does too, but the thing about fighting a version of you is that they know exactly what you're planning and the party has to intervene because Komaru is still a weak young girl at this point and the Shadow's about ready to kill her.
Thus begins the boss battle, which I have the pleasure of declaring one of the biggest pains in the ass in terms of difficulty spike. Everyone is in pain and no one is happy about this, but they finally defeat the Shadow Fukawa after a shitton of time and having to be clever (having Hiro as dedicated assist character really helps by this point to telegraph her attacks).
At the end, Syo is in control and she's uncharacteristically silent as the Shadow collapses into their normal form. Shadow Syo sees just how terrified Komaru is of her and, seeing that she's ruined their one good relationship, moves to atone. But Syo grabs her hand before she can do anything and says that yeah, they've all really fucked up their lives, but killing herself isn't the way to fix it. The Shadow asks how she would do it, then and Syo decide to demonstrate by heading to Komaru and asking if she's alright, before they switch and Toko is back. Komaru asks if she's the one that's been helping her the whole time. Toko awkwardly nods and Komaru tackles her in a hug, thanking her profusely for helping her when she was so scared of everything. Feeling bittersweet, the shadow fades into Toko/Syo, before they have to escape because the place is about to collapse with no shadow to rule it, Komaru tackling Toko out of the door so they both don't end up trapped
---
Mod: The Shadows 2nd form fits so well, especially the part with the turning upside down to switch between personalities. I mean it’s nothing new that Toko/Syo is a very lewd person who is very openly sexual.
I love the whole aesthetic of having the palace be designed like an old asylum, due to the fact that if she were ever caught she would end up in one, and that it’s and old timely one that is basically a prison where the patients aren’t exactly treated well would perfectly show her fear of it. And of course the romantic Victorian manor perfectly shows Toko’s view on romance. I mean (as far as I can tell) the Victorian times are one very popular time setting for romance novels. Though Komaru for sure is having an awful time in that palace, cause she is after all being used like some favourite test subject by the Shadow and has to constantly do tasks, and no amount of rewards will help with the fear she is feeling. But at least Toko is doing her best to get her out, even if it’s hard to do while also fighting
It’s so nice to see that it’s actually Syo who is reassuring her shadow and helps her feel better. Cause technically Syo is after all one of the main things that makes life for Toko so much more hard. And the moment between Komaru and Toko is so sweet, cause Toko was the one who got Komaru even so far after all and both just deserve all the hugs. But first they need to get back home

Twisted Sister Arc Review Part 3
Prison Break
And with this we are finally coming to an end here. Again, apologies for breaking this into 3 parts but I doubt you guys wanted to read about 5k words in one sitting so it’s easier for you to digest. I also feel like I’m not doing a review like this in a long time. Anyway, time’s a-wasting let’s get back to where we left off as we left the demonic guitar child to be mind gutted and to catch those criminals that got out!
With all the criminals running around the one question that is on everyone’s minds is ‘where’s Iroha’? Did she go back to Makoto or did she head home? The answer is, she went back to Makoto and the two having been making it out ever since. Their intense kissing session was interrupted by Nikei and Emma catching a bad guy that got too near the house, and not only does this mean that Nikei gets the confirmation that Iroha is alright, but also Makoto gets to meet Emma and Nikei for the first time. Emma and Makoto meeting went just as I suspected, given that Maku was cool with Makoto and due to how close Emma and Maku, there was little doubt that Emma was gonna approve of Makoto. Nikei though, his reaction shocked a lot of people. I’m guessing since that one dream got posted of Nikei putting a gun to Makoto’s head and threatening him, not helped with how trigger happy he still is, and also all the threats he’s made about Makoto already, for Nikei to be like ‘Sup bro, I’m cool’ means either Nikei was just joking all those times he threatened Makoto (likely) or Makoto’s just that pure of a person. Remember that in Class 78, Makoto was able to befriend literally everyone in his class, and Class 78 had a lot of people who were anti-social and had severe trust issues, so it says a lot about his character that he was able to connect with so many people, and the one person he didn’t connect with, he STILL tried to safe, it’s just Junko didn’t want to be saved and you cannot help someone who refuses it. And given that Nikei’s pretty good at reading people for who they are, he would have realised that Iroha would be in safe hands with him, and that all that worrying was unfounded. Also, Komaru, as expecting is 100% on board with Iroha’s relationship with her brother. When we Anons were suggesting for Iroha to hook up with Makoto, part of us worried how well Komaru would take it but seeing how well they got on, once Komaru finds out that Iroha thirsts for her brother, and I do mean thirst because you are very dirty minded girl, especially given that Komaru won’t be befriending Toko in this timeline so she needs a friend who has indecent thoughts, she would be like ‘yay go sister!’. At some point the other girls will get involved so let’s see when Makoto decides to create Cuddle Puddle 2.0. And even if that doesn’t happen, I can see Makoto by extension of him dating Iroha, hanging out with the Voids in general and giving them the Hopeness energy that he just emits which once Mikado decides to get involved, he is going to have a very hard time doing what he is doing.
That leads me to a thought experiment, what would happen if Makoto meets Utsero? If he starts hanging out with the Voids, and once Makoto becomes relevant to the ‘Saving teh world’ then, then the hunt of Utsero will commence at some point, and while I feel like Utsero won’t give a rat’s arse about his ‘children’, he’ll be quite interested in Makoto as Makoto is basically someone who is the complete opposite of him. Makoto has extreme bad luck rather than extreme good luck and while Utsero‘s entire life is derailed because of it and making him miserable and death seeking, Makoto has one of the most well-adjusted lives out of everyone in Danganronpa, both canon and fanon. Granted I could see Hajime and others screaming if it happens as they fear the world imploding from the sheer luck energy, but while Hajime and Utsero’s talk would be interesting, from a thematical standpoint, the talk between Makoto and Utsero would be more compelling. Also, another way Makoto could spite Mikado.
Anyway, moving Makoto and Iroha’s make out sessions aside back to bad guy wrangling where the QC, assisted by Fuyuhiko and Peko, start to assist the police with arresting all the criminals. This leads to a standoff between an arsonist and Tsurugi who mentions he has planted bombs somewhere…. oh dear…oh dear indeed. Recall the incident when Sasaki loses his life which was the triggering point for Tsurugi’s morality to go down…worrying paths. Now of course that wasn’t caused by a prison break but at this point, we have changed so many things timeline wise that the event could be caused by this, and the QC cannot afford to take any risks. So, when Hajime decides to tackle the bombs, he goes in with Tsurugi and the rest of the QC bar Sasaki from entering. And then shit hits the fan as the bomb goes off and Tsurugi and Hajime get hurt, though thankfully Hajime’s injuries are minor and while Tsurugi’s more severe, he’ll live. This is going to a major event for Tsurugi as before then he was very anti-Kasugano and wanted to arrest him on the spot, and would have done so earlier had the Prison Break not been a bigger concern. But now, Kasugano saved his life, had he not listened to him to hide, the bomb would have killed him. Sasaki is also probably going to have to talk to him about Juu, who is the bastard behind this whole thing. I feel like this isn’t over because not only does Tsurugi have to recover, he and Sasaki need to talk about what Sasaki feels about Juu, but also, I see a massive re-evaluation of values towards Kasugano as if Kasugano is a hypocrite like Tsurugi claims, why would he save his life? Sasaki did sort of guess almost accurately that the police is so corrupt that he has to take matters into his own hands. Shinji makes an appearance here as well and that’s glorious as seeing our Fire Daddy is always a nice thing to see. Mikan getting freaked out over Shinji’s lack of indoor voice is quite amusing as well.
And with that Hajime collapsed into a deep sleep due to all the smoke and everything that has occurred. It’s unknown how successful the QC are with dealing with the criminals, though the lack of mention of Storm concerns me because well…it’s the same prison he was held out and ever since Kyoji mentioned him, I’ve grown concern about him being relevant to the plot. Kyoji might keep telling us he won’t break out but I’m too savvy, when you mention a villain like that, they’re gonna escape it’s just a question of when. Kinda curious to see how Storm is handled as he is essentially a Villain OC. Sure, Junyu and Juu are but they were characters that appeared in canon or fanon, it’s just they weren’t fleshed out, but Storm is an original creation. Can’t wait to see when he shows up and how much I want to strangle him with his purple tie.
And thus, that’s the Twisted Sister Arc over and done with! Easily the most plot tense out of ALL the arcs that have been done as we had bad timelines, villains getting upgrades, serious questions getting answered and the character developments of some characters concluding and others showing they need progress. I will give this Arc an A. And its tied with Concert Arc as my overall favourite Arc, the only reason it doesn’t exceed Concert Arc is because of the whole ‘Yasuke-Multiverse-theory’ which knocks it down some points, though I do kinda blame the fact that Yasuke is generally that much of an arsehole anyway. Don’t expect my reviews to be this intense going forward and with the next arc, I hope I can cram all I want in a single submission. Until then, bye bye! - Review Anon
