mmmmaybe a skwistok 1
Alright let’s go let’s do another bit from that pre-klok story that plagues me every waking hour. The order now is this then this then this and now this thing you see before you. If I keep using prompts to work on this story I should be done by 2138.
They just finished messin’ around. Some heavy petting. Some PG-13 shenanigans.
1. Breaking the kiss to say something, staying so close that you’re murmuring into each other’s mouths”Toki stared at the pockmarked ceiling, hands laced neatly over his stomach, as the showerhead screeched to life in the neighboring room. Skwisgaar had ducked out to shower only minutes ago, and in his absence the weaselly gnaw of doubt made a home in Toki’s belly. He’d claimed he needed one because the sweltering air in their fanless bedroom was suffocating him. But Skwisgaar wasn’t subtle and Toki wasn’t dumb. Toki knew the real reason Skwisgaar needed to step out. He’d said it himself: It had been a really, really long time since kissing was the end-all-be-all of a hookup. And that’s all Toki wanted to do, kiss. Maybe it had been a mistake. Maybe he should have done more. Maybe he shouldn’t have kissed Skwisgaar at all. Not that he regretted the kissing. That had been some high-end kissing, Grade A, prime stuff, top of the line. Kissing that’ll put hair on your head. And Skwisgaar. So attentive, so cautious, often stopping to ask if Toki was comfortable, if what they were doing was okay. In the moment it had all seemed too good to be true. Now Toki worried it might have been.   Skwisgaar sauntered back in, hair piled in a wet nest on top of his head, naked save for a pair of Nathan’s basketball shorts. He cocked his head, his expression unreadable in the darkness, and nudged the bedroom door shut with his hip. He knelt at the foot of their mattress, then dropped beside Toki onto his stomach as though he were about to do a push-up. The shower had done little to cool his affections. He wriggled beneath Toki’s folded arms, creating an embrace, and as he softly pressed his lips to Toki’s he murmured a gentle, playful, “Hi.”Tenderness swallowed Toki, hands moving dumb and heavy across Skwisgaar’s still-slick skin. They laid in a loose tangle, kissing slow and lazy and quiet, punctuated by the occasional giggle that buzzed against Toki’s lips like electricity.“I didn’ts t’inks you’d bes such a kissy guys,” Toki murmured.“Mm.” Toki felt him smile against his mouth. “Don’ts lets it get arounds.”Toki’s anxiety ebbed, but flowed back with force when Skwisgaar broke the kiss. Toki thought about all the wild and crazy sex things Skwisgaar could be doing with any number of groupie sluts, instead of cuddling with a kid like him. Going through the motions of a wimpy, toothless hook-up. The tips of their noses grazed. Toki’s eyes were open and Skwisgaar’s were closed. Nerves made him bold.“Skwisgaar?”“Hm?”“What happen now?”“Wif whats?”“Whats you means, wif what? Wif you! Wif mes! Wif,” he lowered his voice, as though speaking this next part aloud would ruin the whole thing, “us.”“I don’ts know,” Skwisgaar sighed. He cracked open one eye, a wicked flash of blue, and grinned with teeth. “Guess I can’ts sneaks out tomorrow mornings and tells you I gots an early bands rehearsal den never talks to you agains, huh?”Toki’s heart calcified and plunged into his bowels. “Dat amn’ts funny.”Skwisgaar’s smile splintered with unease.  “Sorries.” The center of his lower lip grew red with the pressure he bit down on it. “I beens wit’ a lots of peoples. So many peoples. Can’ts even keeps track, how many peoples I puts my you-know-whats in. Probably enough peoples to starts a minor basketball teams. Including players, managements, staffs–”“Okay I gots it, t’anks.”“Ehueghhuegh,” he laughed stiffly, refusing to meet Toki’s eye. “Sorries, agains. I does dat whens I’m nervous.”It hadn’t even occurred to Toki that Skwisgaar was capable of being nervous.“Whats I’s trying to says. Ams.” He drew a breath, then exhaled in a terse huff. “I don’ts know how to does dis part.”“Which parts?”He drew circles on Toki’s chest with his middle finger and said, in the faintest whisper, “Liking someones.”Suddenly, all of Toki’s worry flew out of him, as though it had been released from the roof of a very tall building and shattered on the ground below. He beamed.“You likes me?”Skwisgaar rolled his eyes. “Wells, less, nows.”“You liiiiii~iiiikes me.” Toki teased. With two fingers beneath Skwisgaar’s chin he tugged him close, and Skwisgaar did not resist.“Just so’s you knows,” Toki said before their lips met again, “I likes you, too.”Skwisgaar closed the gap, and into Toki’s mouth muttered, “Cools.
