Lyudmila Mikhailovna Pavlichenko.
One of the most famous female snipers in world history is Lyudmila Pavlichenko, who killed more than 300 Nazis. American journalists nicknamed her “Lady Death,” although, of course, this smiling girl did not deserve such an ominous nickname. When the war began, Lyudmila immediately volunteered for the front. She killed the first Nazi near Belyaevka in the Odessa region with a Tokarev SVT-40 rifle. After two and a half months, she already had 187 killed enemies. In December she was sent to Sevastopol, where she fought for another eight months. By June 1942, she had already destroyed 309 fascists, including 36 snipers.
In total, about two thousand female snipers served in the Soviet army during the war, of whom only 500 survived the war.

I was joking with a coworker about buying an airsoft SVT-40.
I was said something about making a review video comparing it to the real thing (referring to the real thing as the Tokarev and the replica as the S&T) concluding with a joke about taking the wrong one to get gameplay footage with. Something that both of us understand I wouldn't actually do.
another coworker was idly listening to us, also does a little airsoft, and didn't follow that the Tokarev would absolutely not be field legal. He looked over at us, clearly confused, and asked why it would be a big deal to take the tokarev to the field.
Ladies and gentlemen, MY BOSS poked his head into the break room and I swear to god said "It's frowned upon to vaporize children with 7.62 Rimmed.".

“ The Gewehr 43” is a 7.92×57mm Mauser caliber semi-automatic rifle developed by Germany during World War II. The design was based on that of the earlier G41(W), but incorporated an improved short-stroke piston gas system similar to that of the Soviet Tokarev SVT-40. It was manufactured using innovative mass-production techniques. Germany's quest for a semi-automatic infantry rifle resulted in two designs – the G41(M) and G41(W), from Mauser and Walther Arms respectively. The Mauser design was introduced in 1941 and at least 12,755 were made, but it proved unreliable in combat. The Walther design fared better in combat but still suffered from reliability problems. The problems with both designs stemmed from a demand made by the Army that the rifles not use holes drilled into the barrel, known as ports, to run the automatic loading mechanism. Meeting this requirement meant the designs had to use uncommon mechanisms that were simply unreliable and highly prone to fouling. The German invasion of the Soviet Union led to small numbers of the SVT-40 being captured and returned to Germany for examination. These used a simple gas mechanism powered from a port cut into the barrel about 1/3 of the way back from the end, and replaced the conventional stripper reloads with a modern box magazine. It was clearly superior to the G41's, and simpler as well. In 1943, Walther combined a similar gas system with aspects of the G41(W) providing greatly improved performance. It was accepted and entered into service as the Gewehr 43, renamed Karabiner 43 in April 1944, with production amounting to just over 400,000 between 1943 and 1945.

The alien invasion of Chicago had become widespread, after the city suffers from the great heatwave of 1995. It is set to be released on 18 January 2019 through Xbox One, Playstation 4, Microsoft Windows, and Nintendo Switch.

The main enemies were revealed as the Legion Horde, FBI and the US military. Some of the other enemies, such as hobos, cultists, and several other people. The iOS, Android, 3DS, and PSVita versions looks more isometrically point of views, rather than PC and console versions.
Plot summary
A Captive State takes place during the mid-to-late-1990s Chicago, when the alien invaders known as the Legion Horde, had invaded the entire city after the great heatwave that ravaged the entire city. A Captive State begins in October 1969, when the three-day communist uprising in Chicago known as Days of Rage had began with the student protests. On 11 October 1969, a group of alien invaders known as the Legion Horde (called Scavengers in A Captive State) invaded and inherited the entire city of Chicago. A group of cultists, known as The Disciples, had established shortly after the alien invasion of Chicago, and their main purpose is helping the Scavengers to defend Chicago from the US military intervention. A few hours later, the group of the police officers, FBI agents and the US military personnel raided Aragon Ballroom soon after The Nailed's gig ended. Outside Aragon Ballroom, the two of them were rescued by Rula McPhee (Kody Theo) and her British boyfriend Danny Howells (Miles Rich).
In July 1995, after he locked up in jail, Jurgis awakens inside Chicago's Metropolitan Correctional Center. His name was revealed by the Chicago Police Department, after he had abandoned and murdered his Lithuanian boyfriend visiting to Chicago. By early morning, while Jurgis killed one of his cellmates with the kitchen
knife, the raid had began around the prison, but Rafe and Frank keeps Jurgis into safety from the prison guards. After the raid breaks out inside the Chicago MCC, Gabe and Rula finds her brother Jurgis and her boyfriend Ellison escaping from Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago. DShK 38 YouTube 2
(DShK) The DShK 1938 (ДШК, for Дегтярёва-Шпагина Крупнокалиберный, Degtyaryova-Shpagina Krupnokaliberny, "Degtyaryov-Shpagin Large-Calibre") is a Soviet heavy machine gun firing the 12.7×108mm cartridge. The weapon was also used as a heavy infantry machine gun, in which case it was frequently deployed with a two-wheeled mounting and a single-sheet armour-plate shield. It took its name from the weapons designers Vasily Degtyaryov, who designed the original weapon, and Georgi Shpagin, who improved the cartridge feed mechanism. It is sometimes nicknamed Dashka (familiar form of female name Daria) in Russian-speaking countries, from the abbreviation. (History) The requirement for a heavy machine gun appeared in 1929. The first such gun, the Degtyaryov, Krupnokalibernyi (DK, Degtyaryov, large calibre), was built in 1930, and this gun was produced in small quantities from 1933 to 1935. The gun was fed from a drum magazine of thirty rounds, and had a poor rate of fire. Shpagin developed a belt feed mechanism to fit to the DK giving rise, in 1938, to the adoption of the gun as the DShK 1938. This became the standard Soviet heavy machine gun in World War II. Like its U.S. equivalent, the M2 Browning, the DShK 1938 was used in several roles. As an anti-aircraft weapon it was mounted on pintle and tripod mounts, and on a triple mount on the GAZ-AA truck. Late in the war, it was mounted on the cupolas of IS-2 tanks and ISU-152 self-propelled guns. As an infantry heavy support weapon it used a two-wheeled trolley which unfolded into a tripod for anti-aircraft use, similar to the mount developed by Vladimirov for the 1910 Maxim gun.[1] It was also mounted in vehicle turrets, for example, in the T-40 light amphibious tank. In 1946, the DShK 1938/46 or DShKM (M for modernized) version was introduced. In addition to the Soviet Union and Russia, the DShK has been manufactured under license by a number of countries, including the People's Republic of China, Pakistan and Romania. Currently, it has been mostly replaced in favour of the more modern NSV and Kord designs. Nevertheless, the DShK is still one of the most widely used heavy machine guns. In June 1988, during the conflict in Northern Ireland known as "the Troubles", a British Army Westland Lynx helicopter was hit 15 times by two Provisional IRA DShKs smuggled in from Libya, and forced to crash-land near Cashel Lough Upper, south County Armagh.[2] DShKs were also used in 2004, against British troops in Al-Amarah, Iraq.[3] In the 2012 Syrian civil war, the Syrian government said rebels used the gun mounted on cars. It claimed to have destroyed, on the same day, 40 such cars on a highway in Aleppo and six in Dael. (Anti-aircraft sight) Many DShK's intended for the close anti-aircraft role were fit with a simple mechanical sighting system that helped the gunner properly account for "lead" in order to hit fast-moving targets. The system consisted of two circular disks mounted side-by-side in a common framework. On the right, in front of the gunner, was a large "spider" sight that contained a line of small metal rings running from the center to the outer edge. On the left, in front of the loader, was a smaller disk with several parallel metal wires. In some examples, the sight was installed with the loader's sight on the right. To use the sight, the loader/observer would spin his disk so the wires were parallel to the target's direction of travel. A shaft running between the two turned the gunner's sight to the same angle. The gunner would then sight through one of the metal rings based on the estimated range and speed. Lets Talk Tokarev: The Soviet SVT 40
Initially losing to Simonov’s AVS36, Tokarev’s design was later retried and adopted as the SVT 38, later becoming the SVT 40 after the Finnish Winter War debacle that the Soviet Union found itself in, just prior to the Second World War. Very forward thinking in many aspects of the design, the rifle featured a 10 […]
