what I say: I like reading fiction about power structures and systems of governance outside of our usual - like royalty fantasy or rogue criminal heist kind of thing. The action sequences and higher levels of consequences are really cool

what I mean: it's about the experience of being trapped within a system which you hate but want to sustain in a better way than it has been for the good of its members its about loving your family while hating your family while being stuck somewhere you want to improve you can't escape your responsibility but you can try its a never ending struggle of deciding who you are and who you could be and how you can live and live with yourself while within such systems that feel like a wall closing in on you and your life as you try to build a life with less corruption than the last generation its about th-

Also, not sure if you’ve read it, but ‘Candy Canes and Christmas Crackers’ by PandaTanks on AO3 is my absolute favorite— 11 chapters of incredible fake-dating and copious holiday cliches! It’s a Bakugou/Todoroki fic (my fave, their dynamic is incredible).

Ohhhh that depends on your Fandom! For Rodydeku, I really loved Wherever You Are though I never finished it. (I believe by MermaidMarie?)

For SSKK I binged and fell in love with Fair Ankles by spirallings (a hades/persephone take on them!)

For kiribaku, I think I went through most of arxaris' works, with the gladiator au being a personal fave

For writers block/burnout, my best recommendation is: Get out of the house and do something. Not like oh go touch grass, but literally, just go experience people being people. Go to your co-workers grad party and witness a couples mundane little moments that were missing from your fic, go to the boardwalk where you realize you wanna set someone's first date, sing karaoke drunk at the bar with your friends and have a conversation that makes you realize what the next plot point is, go to your neighbors cookout and listen to them talk and make your characters feel more real by noting their mannerisms and the topics they talk about.

There's been so many times I get stuck and it's because I'm either at work or in my room, and I haven't gone to do literally anything else so it's like my brain forgets how people naturally behave lmfao or hell, read a favorite fic a favorite book watch your favorite show which inspired that au. Sometimes my writing feels monotonous until I read someone I admire and remember how expansive language can be. Just take things in know?

I think my favorite trope is "uh oh I fell in love" Accidental Love. Whether it's enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, fwb to lovers, etc, it's always that moment of "oh.... oh this isn't what it started off as anymore, is it?" that I love to write (a moment I'm very excited for with all the STILverse couples and my skk fic!)

On my knees for any rodydeku art or STILverse art or from my skk fic. Shinbakus first kiss, kiri with Scarlet, seroroki reunion, Shouto horrified by Touya and Keis blatant pda, literally anything I'll worship the ground you stand on for fanart t.t I haven't received any in YEARS. (I think the last was for... with a kiss consume? By the lovely beautifultyphoos)
