[ kei kaname x fem reader ]

looking over to the three girls who were ogling over your childhood friend of four, they got rejected yet seem optimistic to talk to him again.

" hey l/n. I see you there, " kaname kei calls over to you as you pushed yourself off the pillar you were hiding in.

l/n? not a nickname or your first name, how weird. you weren't paying attention in class that much, heck you didn't even strike a single conversation with the baseball gang the whole day. seemingly invested in your phone at the moment, gaming away in class.

" l/n? did I do something wrong? " you replied as he laughs.

" isn't your name y/n l/n? me and haruka's childhood friend of four. " he shows you four fingers.

" yeah but... "

" but? "

" you seem pretty off today, could it be that you've regained your memories? " you had a hand over your chin as if you're solving a mystery.

" yes I did. "

" you're not interested in getting a girlfriend? I'm only interested in baseball~ hahaha, what the heck kaname, " you slap his arm in an attempt to console him. he grabs hold of your hand as he gave you a serious look.

" I'm not interested in getting a girlfriend if it's not you, y/n. " he pats your head as he walks past you.

" really?! " you shout over to him as he ran away, possibly to practice leaving you alone.

you spot two other players walking in your direction, definitely to practice.

" hey kaname's girlfriend. " aoi todo, you know from kaname's notebook. you can see the smug look over both todo and shunpei.

" I'm not his girlfriend... not yet at least, " you mumbled the last part as they look at each other.

they each grab hold of your wrists, taking you along to practice. of course their little show wasn't over. chihaya concluded it'll be better to solve the problem faster before it gets worst tomorrow, it'll still be funnier if the dumb kaname kei returns without a partner.

" oh, y/n. " haruka calls out first, gathering the attention of the rest to look over at the scene, both todo and shunpei still holding your wrists so you won't run.

" aren't you going to say something to your boyfriend? " todo starts.

" he's not my boyfriend! " you whisper shout.

" you have a boyfriend in this club, l/n? " kaname says.

" y-y-yeah? kinda... " kaname fell to his knees, hearing that response.

" I love you so much since we were four, who is the jerk that stole your heart? I don't feel confident to say the boyfriend is haruka, " he shoots you a solemn look as haruka shakes his head from the assumption.

" no, haru isn't my boyfriend either! you're so bad at this. I love you too, aren't you then my boyfriend? kaname kei, the wise catcher. " you finish, as kaname gets up to give you a hug. the rest of the boys cheering for the love birds.

" if the dumb kaname comes back, is that your boyfriend? " chihaya jokes as he push his glasses up, gathering all the attention.

" n-n-no... " you look away earning a whine from the wise general catcher kaname.
