2. What’s your favourite cheese? Goat and cheddar.
3. What’s your favourite fish? Catfish, if crab doesn’t count as a fish.
4. What’s your favourite fruit? Pomegranates, watermelon, pineapple, bananas.
5. When, if ever, did you start liking olives? I don’t remember? I never liked the Kalamamamamama olives they have in greek salads, but I love black olives and green olives with pimento. That was always on my dad’s go-to tray of appetizers when we’d have Christmas at our house. 3 kinds of olives, some cheese, and salami or whatever. I always ate the green and black olives from there. I also like green olives stuffed with other things too, like bleu cheese or garlic.
6. When, if ever, did you start liking beer? I only like some beers really. I think I’ve been conditioned to like it at baseball games because my dad does, haha.
7. When, if ever, did you start liking shellfish? My whole life dude. When my parents would go out to dinner with us when we were little, they always just gave us stuff from there plates to eat. So if someone had lobster or crab legs or shrimp I would too.
8. What was the best thing your mom/dad/guardian used to make? My dad makes KILLER bleu cheese dressing. I could eat that shit with a spoon it’s SO GOOD. He also makes amazing spaghetti sauce and is pretty good at getting popcorn perfect everytime. My mom used to make really good beef stew, and her famous potatoes and eggs fr dinner. She also made the BEST potato salad, and that recipe has been handed down to me. Everyone claims it’s amazing, but I still think she made it better.
9. What’s the native specialty of your hometown? Deep dish pizza, hot dogs, beef sandwiches, caramel and cheese popcorn.
10. What’s your comfort food? Everything.
11. What’s your favourite type of chocolate? Milk chocolate. With caramel. 12. How do you like your steak? Medium rare.
13. How do you like your burger? Medium rare.
14. How do you like your eggs? In omelet form.
15. How do you like your potatoes? I ain’t got no type.
16. How do you take your coffee? I don‘t, really.
17. How do you take your tea? Green.
18. What’s your favourite mug? The one I use most often is just a plain red one that I got from Home Goods because it came with a tea infuser.

20. What’s your ideal breakfast? Lox and bagels.
21. What’s your ideal sandwich? ^. Or tuna on any bread.
22. What’s your ideal pizza: Very saucy, lightly cheesy, with pepperoni and black olives.
23. What’s your ideal pie (sweet or savoury)? Cheesecake. <– Same, and it’s been waaaay too long since I last had a good piece of cheesecake. <----CHEESECAKE IS NOT PIE YOU HEATHENS, IT’S CAKE. Anyway, pumpkin pie has been my go to since I was a baby.
24. What’s your ideal salad? I don’t really have an “ideal” salad, but I like spinach salads with various toppings.
25. What food do you always like to have in the fridge? Hmm. Eggs, soy milk, condiments and marinades, sriracha, pickles, olives, cheese, water.

29. What sauces can you not live without? Sriracha.
30. Where do you buy most of your food? Jewel-Osco. We might start shopping at Aldi for boxed and bagged goods. I don’t trust meat and produce from there though.

33. What’s the most expensive piece of kitchen equipment you own? I mean, probably the fridge or stove? We don’t really own those though? Sooooo the food processor?
34. What’s the last piece of equipment you bought for your kitchen? It’s been a while since we’ve actuall bought something for the kitchen. A lot of our stuff is hand-me-downs or wedding gifts. So probably something from when we first moved in and needed basic things like plates and silverware.
35. What piece of kitchen equipment could you not live without? Probably most of them? Like we need the fridge and stove for obvious reasons, so I guess next to that, the microwave?
36. How many times a week/month do you cook from raw ingredients? We try to almost every night.
37. What’s the last thing you cooked from raw ingredients? Chicken and spinach last night, unless overnight oats count, which I made shortly after that to eat this morning.
38. What meats have you eaten besides cow, pig and poultry? I’ve had lamb, duck, goat, alligator, buffalo, and ostrich. Well I guess duck and ostrich are poultry?? Oh and a shit ton of seafood too since that wasn’t listed in the question. Way too much to name.

45. Bread and spread: Um. My favorite bread is garlic bread, if that’s what you’re asking.
46. What’s your fast food restaurant of choice, and what do you usually order? Popeye’s. I get chicken strips and Cajun fries. If they are having some promotional thing with the strips I’ll probably get that.
47. Pick a city. What are the best dining experiences you’ve had in that city? Any city and any restaurant that has crab legs is a good dinning experience in my mind.
48. What’s your choice of tipple at the end of a long day? What the hell is a tipple?

The World's Healthiest Beers and Why You Should Care
Generally speaking, beer and health aren't necessarily equated with one another in most people's minds; even though there's a lot of recent scientific and medical research that show beer drinking (responsibly) is good for you. Most beer lovers don't pause to read the nutrition label before cracking the top on a fresh brew. However, there are some beers out there that are better for you than others. Which brews make the top of the list in terms of "healthiness" and why should you care? Let's take a closer look at your options.
What Makes a Healthy Beer?
Before we delve into which beers are not bad for you and which ones are actually good for your body, it would be a good idea to go over just what makes one beer "healthier" than another. It basically boils down to two things really - calories and alcohol content. Choosing a beer with lower calories is a no brainer for those watching their waistlines of course, but choosing a lower alcohol brew flies in the face of some emerging craft brew trends, specifically the trend of stronger and stronger "novelty" beers.
Then there is the question of special ingredients included in the brew. A wide range of different ingredients can be added to the basic four that make up the average brew, many of which can offer some distinct health advantages. Let's cover a few of those before we move on:
Wheat: Wheat beers have been shown to provide significant benefits, particularly for runners and other endurance athletes. The benefit here is that wheat seems to offer relief from inflammation in muscle tissues and joints, and can also help to combat problems with the respiratory system. Of course, for those with gluten intolerance problems, wheat beers are off the table.
Fruit: Fruit has been used to flavor beer since time immemorial. Today, a wide range of fruit types can be found in beer, from oranges to strawberries, lemons to raspberries and even more exotic options. However, craft beer brewed with fresh fruit (or high-quality fruit extract) can offer some health benefits, particularly when that fruit is high in vitamin C. For instance, raspberries are an excellent source of vitamin C, which helps to boost the immune system.
Another important fruit here is pomegranate. Called a "superfood," pomegranate offers some very impressive health benefits, from boosting your immune system to helping with blood pressure problems and more.
Green Tea: Fusing beer with other types of beverages has become more popular recently in the craft brew world. Some brewers are going the route of combining their brews with tea (particularly green tea). This offers a world of health benefits due to the high antioxidant content in green tea. Antioxidants can help fight a wide range of issues, from cancer to the aging process.
Ginger: Ginger has been used as a cure-all for thousands of years. The Chinese, Romans, Greeks and numerous other ancient cultures extolled the virtues of this root. You'll find ginger included in quite a few new beers on the market. While the FDA might be silent on the health benefits of ginger, it's hard to argue with a tradition that dates back thousands of years.
Hemp: No, you won't find beer laced with THC on the market (at least not openly, at any rate). Hemp seeds are used to add flavor to different brews. You'll also find that they offer some important heart health benefits, too. Studies have shown that hemp seeds can also help to lower high blood pressure in those suffering from hypertension.
Spruce: Spruce is a species of evergreen tree and most people don't really equate spruce needles with food or drink. However, spruce needles can impart some interesting flavors, but they also offer help for those with joint pain, poor blood circulation in the body and can even help lower stress (or that might just be the alcohol).
Oysters: Eating oysters while drinking a cold beer is nothing new. However, you'll now find the oysters added directly to the brew. While that might sound like a rather odd combination, it does have its benefits. Most importantly, at least as far as health is concerned, oysters are high in protein and a variety of essential minerals.
Now, that's a pretty long list of healthy additives, even though some of them might sound a little farfetched. The truth of the matter is that you'll find craft beers available from breweries around the world that include these healthy ingredients and many others too.

Fast Weight Loss Diet Menu For Losing 10 Pounds
Registered dietitian and health blogger, Edward Happer, has come up with a guide for rapid weight loss.
We take a look at this seven-day diet plan that can help you lose up to 10 pounds.
Happer discovered this diet plan when he needed to lose weight fast. He had a fitness exam which required him to lose 5 pounds. This is a healthy weight loss plan that does not require starving yourself. It can help you lose up to 10 pounds in a week.
Being a registered dietitian and nutritionist, Happer focuses on promoting whole food nutrition. No weight loss supplements or medicine is included in this plan.
Weight loss pills are unhealthy and may cause nausea, diarrhea and other symptoms.
The only things needed in this plan is healthy and fresh food from your market. As an owner of a nutrition clinic, Happer provides healthy eating and exercise advice to families so that young children can maximize their growth potential.
This plan can also improve your skin and digestive system.
Day One: Eat a low sugar fruit today, no bananas allowed. Eat apples, pomegranates and any citrus fruit that you choose. Drink 12 glasses of water.
Today is fruit only day, but we make it clear that this is not a fruit only diet. Eating only fruit every day is unhealthy and dangerous as fruit does not provide protein or essential fats. Fruit only diets are unsafe and should not be encouraged.
Fruit juice is not allowed today. You can add green tea, black coffee or a weight loss drink(honey, lemon, and warm water) before breakfast.
The best fruits to eat when trying to lose weight is citrus fruits. Lemon and oranges are good choices combined with grapefruit and apples.
Once the day is over, make sure you have eaten at least four apples, four oranges, one watermelon and two pomegranates.
It is best to choose fruits that are low in sugar content. Watermelon, strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries are good choices.
Day Two: Veggies only today. Have your breakfast of boiled potato. Eat salads of your choice without the high calories dressings. Drink 12 glasses of water.
You can eat your veggies raw, as a salad or boiled with salt and pepper. Cream, butter, oil, and milk are not allowed.
Potatoes are not fattening, they are 75% water. It’s what we add to potatoes that make them fattening. They are rich in minerals and a good source of vitamins.
You can also drink coffee, tea or your weight loss drink.
Day Three: You can have fruits and veggies today. No potatoes and bananas. Drink 12 glasses of water.
Fruits and veggies are low in calories, so it’s ok to eat more if you want. Eating healthy does not mean that you have to eat less.
Avocado is allowed on fruit days.
Grilling can make veggies taste better but lowers the nutrition. Salads are still the best way to consume your veggies.
No oily products like butter or cheese, olive oil is ok to add to your salads.
Day Four: Eat eight whole bananas today. Make a basic veggie soup and eat it. Drink three glasses of milk plus your 12 glasses of water.
You can blend the banana and milk for a smoothie, use skimmed cow’s milk as your best option.
Day Five: For today you will eat six small tomatoes plus a cup of plain boiled rice. You can eat veggie soup, apples, oranges, and grapefruit. Drink 10 glasses of water.
Don’t use cherry tomatoes, use six medium-sized organic tomatoes. No canned tomatoes that have been preserved.
You can blend them and drink if you prefer adding lemon, salt, and pepper to taste.
Day Six: Eat a small portion of rice. You can add veggie soup three times. Drink ten glasses of water.
Brown rice is a better alternative than white rice.
Day Seven: Eat a small portion of rice. You can have veggie soup or salad today. Drink ten glasses of water and fruit juice if you want.
youtube
You are expected to have lost 10 pounds by now, you will also notice your skin and digestive system feel healthier.
Happer stresses this one important rule: Put your weighing scale away for one week. This removes your focus on how much weight you are losing compared to how much better you feel.
You can weigh yourself before you start the seven-day plan then wait for a week before tipping the scales again.

Dessert - 2 servings jaggery, sweetened green tea.
Water - 1.6L, alright.
Exercise - none.
Okay so I ate more than I had planned to, but there are Reasons.
The smoothie was planned, but wound up tasting like strawberry yoghurt and looking like The Grey Stuff from Disney's Beauty and the Beast. I really thought the pomegranate would turn the thing bright red, but nope, it was cancelled out by the avocado's greeness. I stuck some glace cherries on there for a little sweetness, and because they've been sitting in the pantry since like, December, and should probably be finished before the year is up.
I burnt some toast intended for someone else, so I turned down the toaster setting, made them new toast, and used the crispy slices of toast for myself. That threw my plan to exercise out the window.
Then, because of the roller-coaster that is the reappearance of lockdown in my state, it turns out that we will no longer be contributing to the catering for a family-organised event, so we now have 36 extra large eggs sitting in the fridge. Excluding the 3 I used in my dinner omelette. So we'll ne living in egg based meals for a while. 😂 (Also the bacon is probably close to it's best-by date, as is the potato bake, so they need to be used up too). The cola came from a take-away meal that my parents bought without my input, so I'll be eating my share of that tomorrow night.
Tldr; I'm definitely exercising tomorrow, no matter what, and the weigh-in is definitely going to show gain.
16/7/21 Weight
SW: 80KG
CW: 63KG
GW: 60KG
0.4KG up from last week. Expected.
Breakfast - serving of smoothie (avocado, pomegranate, cashews, raspberry tea infused coconut water, strawberry jam, 3 glace cherries), sweetened black coffee.
Dinner - 2 small servings fried with spicy sauce, lamb burger with 0.5 avocado, sriracha, slice of cheese and gherkin dip in large white bread roll.
Dessert - 3 servings jaggery, sweetened black tea.
Water - 2L, excellent.
Exercise - 20 mins on the treadmill at 3km/h and incline of 10%, 25 roll-ups, 25 half push-ups, 25 double leg raises, 25 donkey kicks (each side).
Some nice gentle muscle work today. My goals for this routine are to reach 4.5-5km/h at 10% incline, and 50 reps of each exercise. It's gonna hurt. X)
Still, at today's 3km/h, I was reminiscing about how that speed at a low incline used to get me out of breath. I breezed through it. How things change.
And yeah I didn't complete the last ab calendar I started, because it started getting boring despite being challenging and some of the moves were uncomfortable for my neck and shoulders. I got pretty close though, I only had two days left!

Guest Review: The NEW Tea Experience at Epcot’s Rose & Crown Dining Room!
Today we’re bringing you a guest review from our DFB pal Jennifer Elliott, who attended the new Rose & Crown Tea Experience in Epcot’s World Showcase!
This weekend, I had the privilege to attend The Rose & Crown’s brand new Tea Experience. It began promptly at 9:45 am, so make sure to allow plenty of time to walk to the United Kingdom Pavilion.
Tea Experience at Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room
Upon your arrival, you will check in and be seated in the dining room of the Rose & Crown Pub. In front of you will be a tiny tea pot that holds a place card with your party’s name on it.
Tea Experience at Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room
The tables are set with cream, sugar, empty bulb cups, Twining’s tea bags, and a set of tongs.

Tea Experience at Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room
Our Hostess, Brogan, normally works at the tea shop in the UK Pavilion. She was very knowledgeable about all things Twining’s Tea and taught us how to best brew a proper “cuppa”. (Hint, for black tea 3 minutes max in hot water, or your tea will become bitter.)
Tea Experience at Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room
Once we discussed tea it was time to brew our Earl Grey and Chai Pumpkin Spice teas. We then tried each one and discussed if we preferred one or the other.
Tea Experience at Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room
Some trivia about tea is thrown in to keep the whole experience fun and informative.
We then were introduced to the Chef while the servers brought out a sampling of tea sandwiches. They were Salmon Salad with Pickles, Irish Cheese and Pickle, Egg Salad, and Curry Chicken. All were delicious and the edible Hawaiian Orchid was a lovely touch. This was also accompanied by an iced Lady Earl Grey tea.
Tea Experience at Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room
Next, we were taught how to brew the second set of teas, Green Tea with Pomegranate, Raspberry and Strawberry and Chamomile with Honey & Vanilla.
Tea Experience at Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room
Finally, the Chef introduced the final course, a Plain and Fruit Scone with Clotted Cream and Strawberry Jam.
Tea Experience at Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room
The experience lasted about 45 minutes, but we didn’t feel rushed to finish our food or drinks. They do seat small parties with other guests, but we found this to be fun as we conversed about what we liked and didn’t like about tea. At $30 per person it was a good value, and there was enough food to satisfy.

8 things to know before starting this challenge
This skin detox is based on the advice of nutritionists, dermatologists, facialists and product developers. However, every skin type is different so always do what’s best for you.
For the best results, eat a well-balanced diet of fresh fruit, vegetables, legumes and lean protein.
We will be sharing one recipe per day full of skin-loving ingredients to help you along.
Cut out coffee and alcohol (sorry!). Green tea should be your fix when you need it, but try limiting it to at three cups per day.
Aim for the recommended three litres of water per day. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
We know you’re a busy bunch, so stick to a quick cleanse, moisturise and SPF in the morning and we’ll provide you with a nigh time routine for every evening.
We’ll be offering product suggestions throughout the challenge, but of course the detox can be followed using similar products you may already have.
Take photos of your skin! Skin changes can be really subtle and if you wear makeup everyday you might not notice the improvement. Set an alarm on your phone every morning to take a quick selfie so you can compare your skin from the start and finish of this detox.
