This is the Papa Roach that I remember. Before they blew up with "Last Resort," they had a little debut album from 1997, called "Old Friends from Young Years." This song, "Orange Drive Palms," will always be my favorite of theirs. (Video credit here.)

So basically youtube has finished to show me probably (almost) everything about Fall Out Boy and thus decided to show more appereantly (unseen and unknown to me) some Papa Roach stuff.. (to kill me more and again)
which has Fall Out Boy mention in it.
me: alright. So why in the preview i can see both Patrick and Jacoby?
At 2.47 circa - Jacoby be like:
We’re going down down do my doodle around...
(the... he’s been a longtime fan ever since?ç_ç)
And his comments afterwards broke my heart because
i now need to know when, where and WHO got pissed off at Jacoby for creating his own version of Sugar (and most of all: is this really happened?ç_ç)
(let’s be real..haven’t we all made up our own version before finding out the actual lyrics?)
and then Jacoby was like: “i don’t really want to hurt their feelings”
i mean: HOLY SMOKES i can’t imagine Patrick and Jacoby “argue” when they both are the purest and sweetest dudes i know?
but then.. oh here’s more.
also liked “their new record” (i could be thinking he was probably either AB/AP or MANIA since the interview was posted in 2018,so i’m thinking more of MANIA i guess)
(funny fact: AB/AP got out around a week/10 days before FEAR.
I do remember that because obvious reasons, and i still LOL hard to this)
And also a mention to a particular festival where BOTH bands were in the same day (yet different stage) lucky those who have attended that Festival btw
So basically instead of listening/watching their ol’ pals in Slipknot and Slash who were in the same stage as PRoach...
Jacoby was like:
hey i’mma watch the Fall Out Boy gig!
My reaction:
And now my mission is that after i got to know this..
i’mma poke (politely to death of course) BOTH
Papa Roach AND Fall Out Boy
= Fall Out Roach.
make.
it.
happen.
(oh and if there are any fob or proach fans who are fans of the other band and have my same ideas.. let’s try to join the forces and then to make a song together *-*)
just imagine the awesomness these two bands can create <3
(and having Patrick vs Jacoby would be the death of me for sure)
[also a quick remember that my chemical romance...(which happens to be my third fav band FTR) when they did the reunion show in LA, Jerry Horton attended that same concert with his daughter... let that sink in for a bit as well.]
Nu metal was quite powerful during the time of the genre's reign, though I am not surprised some bands abandoned the style later on despite the fact they were quite interesting in that brand. I mean, when you listen to Papa Roach's latest albums, you want to do a double check. They're far away from their nu metal period, which might have been too close to their peers', yet they managed to find their own way within the idiom. While they weren't System Of A Down, they did have their own energy that vacillated between the semi-dignified anger and the anthemic delight. They did speak of the similar themes as many of their ilk, but they didn't overdo them, they more or less found a path to discuss them without putting their pain to much to the front.
