hey hey hey so i'm working on some updates for harper!!! (and tally tbh) so!!!! harper is still my lil witch bby, still owns her lil inn, but!!!! this is neat, i promise...so!! her inn acts as a sort of dimensional portal of sorts. people who were meant to be there will often either receive some type of invitation to the inn for an event or something or their taste, or they will 'stumble' across it on their own. otherwise it just sort of looks like an abandoned old building, if they go inside it'll still look like that too. kind of existing in between dimensions type deal.

anywho, that's also where tally comes into play. she's a straight up anomaly, is absolutely not supposed to be where she is but she literally can't get anywhere else for some reason. so she's pretty much the only other permanent resident that isn't harper. she also runs a lil radio station from her apt/room that really only goes out to folks at the inn, but it's fun nonetheless.

so harper kind of plays this in between person, she rarely ever knows why someone is there, but they usually figure it out together and they get to where they need to be in the end. tally being the exception. so, ya know, you might just get a little invitation one day to some random inn sitting at the base of soft rolling mountain...might wanna accept it. ♥♥

I don't know. I really don't. She can't see Michael as anything but good. He's seperated person from action, by declaring that some people are simply 'evil,' and therefore no matter what someone who is 'good' does, it's never evil.

Even now that Michael- who he first assured us wouldn't hurt anyone, and then justified her hurting people as simply her defending herself- has actively sought out someone she'd previously traumatized, who posed no current threat to her, and injured Phenex's own mate in the process?

All of H. Y.'s books are the same torture/misery/trauma porn with LGBTQ+ characters, a straight person using LGBTQ+ trauma to sell is so gross not to mention she intentionally makes it as triggering as possible and she's said this in interviews. Even if you like the books, read her interviews and things she's said, it's wild. She's obsessed with male rape and as a gay male victim of sexual violence myself this is disgusting.

i do not see how and why her other works that all stand independently of each other are supposed to influence my opinion on the fact that a little life is, in my opinion, a literary masterpiece. even the question whether it’s a morally or ethically good book does not really have to influence your perception of art unless you are reading for moral and general life advice only. personally, i do not do that and do not recommend judging literature through that lens but it’s not any of my business how other people read unless they are somehow making it mine
