reminding myself that, even though Evan now has a d20 in Magnetism and essentially a huge boost in confidence, he can exude that energy and still get nervous or embarassed or blushing while twirling his hair and kicking his feet or - and this is most important - feel a true calmness in subspace when being just a really good boy. it just maybe takes a little more oomf to get him there.

The airport was a busy place, filled with busy people living busy lives and heading to their own respective places. It just so happened that you happened to be one of the few who wasn't as busy, which meant you could take your time to look around at everyone walking around you. It amazed you to see how many people lived here, how many people were constantly traveling It was like an entirely different world to you.
Your parents had moved from Seoul when you were at a very young age, and moved to America. You had been living in America and you had grown up learning to speak English and Korean, as your family didn't want you to forget where you were from and at some point they were planning on moving back to Seoul, they just weren't sure when.
Jiwon was one of the only other Korean people you knew in New York. The two of you had instantly bonded over the fact that you shared the same nationality and you became instant friends. You were excited to finally have someone you could talk to in your native language, and it seemed she was just as excited. The two of you would gossip all the time and you would find yourselves always getting into trouble.
When your best friend had told you she was going to visit her aunt and cousin, who lived in Busan, she invited you along. Your parents were more than excited to send you to your home country so you could experience what they had. They loved the idea and quickly sent you off with her, leading you to where you were now. Incheon International Airport was one of the busiest places you had ever been, defeating the busy airport in New York that you had left from.
Jiwon had told you that you would have to take a train to Busan from here, but it didn't bother you at all. The ride seemed like the perfect opportunity to talk to people and to get to know who everybody was. The entire trip was going by so fast already and you wondered how you would be able to spend three weeks here if you couldn't even get over your first day.
Your phone was out the entire time during the train ride, taking pictures and admiring everything around you. Millions of people past by you, and you wondered what they were doing with their lives, what had led them to this point. Everything was going by in a blur, and soon enough you were pulling up to Busan. When you got to the station, Jiwon and yourself quickly got off and you walked inside.
She was looking around for something and you couldn't figure out what. You were still amazed by everything going on around you and you quickly found yourself talking to strangers and learning about them. Jiwon always got annoyed at you for this as she just wanted to see he aunt and her cousin, but you were so immersed in everything your parents had told you.
You were taken by surprise as Jiwon wrapped her hand around your wrist and dragged you in the direction of two people you had never seen before. The first thing you noticed, was the boy with pink hair. It stood out so brightly and you couldn't help but smile at it. You wondered how he managed to have something like that and not get stared at for it.
"Aunty, Jimin." Jiwon greeted the people happily and they both pulled her in for quick hugs. Your eyes had been locked on the boy in front of you and you found him being the only thing on your mind. The rest of the airport seemed to disappear around the two of you as he pulled away from your best friend and smiled at you. "This is Y/N, she's the friend I said I was bringing."
You snapped out of your thoughts as you heard your name and a slight blush came over your cheeks as the pink haired boy smirked at you. He had obviously caught you staring at him and he thought it was funny that you were getting so flustered over it. You couldn't help the feeling of butterflies welling up in your chest as you shook his hand, and then shook his mothers hand.
"Jiwon, you forgot to tell us how beautiful your friend was." Jimin said, smiling at you once more. You giggled slightly, the nervous energy escaping you and pushing it's way out. Your friend stared at you for a second, never having seen you get nervous like this before and you didn't know what to make of it. There was something about having Jimin in front of you that caused you to feel more nervous than usual.
"Jimin, leave the poor girl alone. She doesn't need you flirting with her the entire trip." His mother spoke up, smacking her son lightly upside the head. Jimin couldn't help the sheepish grin that took over his lips and as you all headed to the parking lot, he couldn't keep his eyes from locking back on to your figure. There were three weeks before he had to let you go, and he would make the best of it.
It was the second week of your trip and things were picking up. Jimin and you had been hanging out a lot as Jiwon met up with family and you didn't want to intrude on her matters. Jimin was more than happy to take you out on little adventures, taking you to the beaches, going hiking, getting into trouble. You had realized in the short amount of time you had been with him just how much of a troublemaker he was, and it only intrigued you more.
There was no doubt that you had fallen for Jimin at this point, and you wondered to yourself if you would be able to just leave without saying anything to him. You wanted more than anything to let him know how you felt, but you reconsidered as soon as you thought about how the two of you would make it work. You were almost about to graduate school and Jimin had a busy life, with all of his trouble-making.
It was getting late and Jimin had decided to take you hiking late at night. It had seemed like a good idea at the time and the two of you were more than happy to go together. Jimin's hand had found it's way into yours at some point and he had been practically dragging you up the mountain for half of the journey. The feeling of his hand in yours made your heart skip a beat and a small blush lasted on your cheeks.
The two of you had done this before but something about it was different. Jimin was rushed in a sense, like there was something he wanted you to see before it disappeared. It made you curious, and you wondered what it could be to make him act like this. You stared at the back of his head as he continued to drag you, not letting anything get to you.
The only thought running through your head was the fact that Jimin's hand held yours tightly. It was clouding over everything else and you almost missed the rubble on the side of the path, stepping on to it and feeling it rush underneath your foot. You slipped and a scream was released from your lips as your leg gave out. Quickly, before you could realize what had happened, Jimin's arm came around you and pulled you up.
Your eyes followed the line of rubble falling down the mountainside and there was a part of you that wanted to just stop what you were doing with Jimin. You wanted to tell him this was a bad idea and that the two of you should just go back, but it again disappeared as you turned to the said boy and realized how close you were. You thought about how you could just lean forward and kiss him, slowly becoming lost in the daze.
"Are you okay?" Jimin asked, causing you to come back to reality. Your eyes widened and you nodded your head, feeling Jimin's arms unwrap themselves around your waist and taking your hand in his again. "Come on, there's only a little bit more to go."
You didn't complain or protest as you followed Jimin again. All thoughts of the potential accident that could have happened had left your head and you were focused back on how Jimin was determined to show you whatever this was. You found yourself nearing a flat top and you were amazed as you looked around you and saw the lights in the distance, from Busan and neighboring cities.
There were stars in the sky and they danced around your vision, something you didn't get to see often because of all of the air pollution. You had become completely absorbed in what was in front of you, that you barely noticed the arms wrapping around you from behind. Jimin's chin rested on your shoulder and you could feel his breath fan out on the side of your neck, causing you to shiver.
"It's beautiful." You whispered, breaking the silence surrounding the two of you. Your hands rested against Jimin's before you let yourself overthink it, and you let yourself enjoy the moment. The last thing you wanted to do was get nervous and mess up what was happening between the two of you.
"Not as beautiful as you." Jimin whispered back. The blush managed to appear in seconds, covering your cheeks and making you look like a tomato. Jimin laughed slightly at how red you had become, not saying anything about it. "I really like you Y/N, and I don't want these three weeks to end, because then I have to let you go."
You understood what Jimin was going though because you were going through it yourself. It was the feeling of not being able to make it work, and despite knowing that people were going to be against you, you couldn't imagine not being with him.
"You wouldn't have to let me go completely. There's always the idea of me coming back." You said, turning your head to lock eyes with Jimin. He smiled at you, and you knew that he was fine with the idea. There were the unspoken words between the two of you that you just understood. You knew that you could make long distance work as long as you had Jimin.
Jimin lifted his hand to cup your cheek gently and pulled you closer, letting his lips grace your own. It was just barely a kiss but it made your heart flutter regardless. You giggled slightly and wiggled out of Jimin's grip, holding his hand as you turned to face him. You were silhouetted by the stars behind you and Jimin couldn't help but think about how perfect the two things looked together.
"Besides, even if we get separated, we'll still have the stars to share." You said, you backed up a little more, not realizing how far you were stepping. It wasn't until the ground started to move underneath you and Jimin shouting your name that you knew something was wrong. The last thing you thought about was Jimin, the idea of leaving him being the last thing on your mind.
You had only slipped and fallen about three and a half meters. There had been a ledge underneath you that caught you from falling the rest of the way before you could get severely injured. Of course you were unconscious for about a week, and when you woke up you had no recollection of the events that had happened so it didn't matter what the doctors had told you at all.
The last thing you remembered was getting on a flight with Jiwon, and after that it seemed like a complete blip in memory. There was nothing left on your mind as you laid on the hospital bed and your parents walked into the room. At hearing that you had gotten into an accident they had immediately flown out to see you and ended up staying in a nearby hotel.
"Y/N, are you feeling alright?" Your mother asked. You were broken out of your thoughts at your mom's words and you couldn't help but nod. You had been trying to remember what had happened, feeling cheated that your entire culture had been wiped from your memories and you were left with nothing from the trip. Jiwon had already been in to see you earlier that day and she had wished you well.
"I'm feeling, fine." You answered, pausing your words. The thought of not being able to remember anything made you incredibly upset and you felt like crying. It felt like there was something incredibly important that you were missing but you just couldn't find what it was. There was something that had happened and you wondered constantly what it had been. What had made such an impact on you.
There was the sound of something banging outside of your room before you watched someone rush inside. There was a mop of pink hair that instantly attracted your attention, and as you looked down you noticed the sleepless eyes and the red rims that lingered. The boy standing in the doorway looked like he hadn't slept in days and it worried you to see him like that.
You weren't sure what it was about him, but you felt your heart pull and confusion quickly found it's way across your features. As the boys eyes traveled down your appearance you heard an indignant yell come from your mother and your attention was instantly brought to her. Her face had turned red in a couple of minutes and she looked about ready to throw something at the boy and it confused you.
"You are not supposed to be here and you know that, we specifically told you not to show up." Your mother whispered the words, the venom seething from her tone and taking you aback. You were shocked by the reaction the boy caused from her and you quickly looked at him to see what was so bad. The only thing you could tell was that he was upset, and something had clearly hurt him.
"I know, and I'm sorry. Please, I just need to hear it myself." He asked. Your mother went to say something else when your fathers hand came down on her shoulder and he stopped her. As your mother shut her mouth the boy turned back to you and he stared at you for a few seconds. It seemed like he was searching for something and you just couldn't tell what.
"I'm sorry, but who are you?" You asked, wondering who this boy was. You had no connection to him, and there was something about the way he was staring at you that made you uncomfortable. The boy seemed to chew on his bottom lip and you watched as he nodded to himself.
"It's okay. I'm just someone you met on your trip and I was there when you got hurt. I wanted to make sure that you were okay, and now that I know you are I should get going." The boy quickly left as he said those words and you couldn't help it as you felt something sad inside of you. You didn't want him to go, and you weren't sure why.
"Honey, he's really heartbroken over this. It was an accident." Your fathers voice attracted your attention again, and even though he was trying to be quiet you could still hear him loud and clear. Your dad had never been one for secrets, as he was never able to keep them.
"He's just going to have to let it go."
Let you go.
That was the last thing he wanted to do, and you knew that. He wouldn't want to let you go, and you knew that because you felt the same way. It seemed that those few words had been the trigger to your memories and it jump started a whole section of your brain. The summer came back to you within moments and you felt tears well up in your eyes. Without a word to your parents, you found yourself throwing your legs over the side of the bed and heading towards the door of your room.
"Y/N!" Your mother screamed loudly. "Where are you going?"
"I'm going to go find Jimin, I can't let him leave thinking I had no idea who he was." Your mother looked shocked but didn't stop you as you ran out of the room. Everything hurt, but you didn't let it slow you down as you pumped your legs to get to him. You could just make out the head of pink hair and you ran faster. There was no way you were letting him leave the hospital without saying the few words that had been on your mind that night.
"Park Jimin!" You yelled loudly, and the sound of his name being called caused him to turn around. His eyes went wide as he saw you running towards him and you pushed yourself the last meter before launching yourself into his arms. You hugged him tightly and you felt his arms quickly wrap around you.
"I knew you would remember." He whispered, feeling relieved that you knew who he was. As you breathed in and out, you hugged him tighter and squeezed until you were sure he couldn't breathe. Every part of you wanted him to know that you were sorry, sorry for worrying him, sorry for causing him the pain, sorry for being dumb that night.
You breathed in his scent and he let out a laugh, the sound of his cries getting mixed in with it. It broke your heart to hear and without thinking, you pulled away and pressed your lips against his hurriedly, putting everything you had into the kiss. He got the message quickly and pressed back, the two of you staying like that for a moment. As you pulled away, you rested your forehead against his and took a deep breath.
"I love you Park Jimin, and I never want to let you go." You said.
"I love you, Y/N Y/L/N."
