spade speaks: ANOTHER LATE POST BUT HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNI! MY WIFE FR, I DON'T MAKE THE RULES.

while y/n waits for her flight from korea to japan to leave, scrolling on her phone, she stumbled upon a video about her and hanni. it wasn’t like the public didn’t know they’re close, after the mama performance everyone sort of assumed that the groups that participated became close.

in the somewhat back of the dance practice, a very blurry clip of y/n and hanni can be seen talking to each other. hanni is holding something somewhat clutching it in fear of possibly losing it while y/n is taking pics of her. with the pictures of hanni holding onto her koala plushie and y/n with her miffy plush can be seen being next to each other.

the scene was then changed to the pair still in the mama practice room talking, some may consider a bit too close for comfort as y/n hands her an onigiri.

hanni starts off the vlog with her in the outfit chosen for her, showing her entire fit on camera, with little to no idea that someone had entered the frame. wearing a blue checkered coat with a bit of leather padding and pocket covers, with her hair a bit slicked back and a few strands of bangs popping out.

hanni shouted upon seeing y/n, who only laughed at her [girlfriend].

“you look stunning.” y/n was in awe, seeing hanni despite having somewhat similar fits for the campaign, she is just left standing there admiring the girl.

it was then cut to hanni and y/n in different outfits, a part of the campaign just to get the ambassadors close. some of which are being directed that they get a bit touchy as the pair are known to be somewhat best friends already. y/n being the playful person that she is, as the wave goodbye to the end of the content being filmed, she kissed hanni’s hand that was holding onto hers.

hanni had seen an octopus hat with y/n and joked about buying it just to have matching hats. the faint “why not?” turned out that one has to win in the fair in order to win the hats which they both said no as to not waste any money.

i swear these two are the most practical and chaotic pair.

y/n is seen beside hanni as she teaches the choreography to super shy, while lily and danielle are conversing on one side with kyujin and haerin. although the camera focuses on haewon talking about the challenge being done by the two aussies and the 06 liners, one could see the two messing with each other.

“for someone who produced the song, you sure can’t keep up with the fast choreo.” y/n could only give hanni the side eye as the group settled and prepared for the challenge.

“with the amount of things i have to do, han, this is the least of my worries.”

just kyujin’s comment alone says a lot about the pair’s dynamic.

blonde hanni has made her appearance during milan fashion week, with that many cameras, it was no surprise that many would capture y/n’s reaction to it. as hanni made her entrance before y/n, walking inside the venue being followed by the nmixx member who didn’t recognize the girl right away.

“y/n! have you seen hanni?” the idol smiled as she gave the signed cd back to its rightful owner and shook her head as a response.

“sadly, i haven’t seen her.”

“Y/N!”

the nmixx member turned around to see hanni walking towards her along with her bodyguards behind. y/n seemed frozen in the clip, touching hanni’s hair and jaw dropped being aware that it’s the real deal. putting hanni’s hair behind her ear as y/n admired the girl, forgetting they’re in a public area and people are taking videos of the interaction.

“wow…”

“you like what you see?” y/n nodded as hanni hugged her and the fans were losing it. the two continued on with their interaction with fans, even taking pics.

if these two aren’t dating, i’ve lost all faith in the world.

there’s no confirmation whether it actually is hanni, but just the cake and a brighter smile after that. they’re my parents, i want them to stay that way.

the video ended just at the right time as the plane was about to leave. y/n put her headphones on as watched the scenery change from her seat, patiently waiting to see and greet hanni for her birthday, just to surprise the girl.

As for ATRDM and the extended cut, currently Keeley reflecting on her relationship with Jamie through the crux of Jamie having a therapist is the only extended scene I have so far. The extended cut is for scenes that I wanted to include but don't make sense in Roy POV which is a sacrifice for the narrative viewpoint that only Roy POV gives me. They will be posted when the chapter they go with is posted if that makes sense. So this scene is from Ch13 in the timeline but we get introduced to Lucy in Ch7!

Here's a little bit that comes later following that confrontation:

“Did you know Jamie had a therapist?” Keeley asked Roy as they ate curry in front of the TV that night. Phoebe had just been picked up by her mum and Chelsea were on the TV so she was in for an evening of sitting watching Roy say he didn’t care but getting increasingly worked up as the match went on. It was better entertainment than the match itself. But she was still thinking about Jamie. How did he do this? How did he, entirely without trying, manage to worm himself into your head and make a little nest there without your permission? “Yeah, Lucy. She seems great,” Roy frowned with a one shoulder shrug. “It seems to be helping. You know from how different he is now compared to before,” Keeley murmured. “I think he just needed people to listen when he had something real to say. Lucy does that for him,” Roy replied dismissively and didn’t that just twist the knife deeper. Keeley didn’t. He came to her with a problem as an olive branch of friendship and she had deemed it too much work and tried to offload him. They never really talked about anything real when they were dating. Jamie was too shallow and defensive for any real conversation to happen and Keeley just saw him as a sweet prop. She could admit that now, they weren’t good for each other a year ago but now, could she be this new real Jamie’s friend?

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

twilight (stargate atlantis, sheppard/weir, what if john didn't break the cycle). strong on style but real weak on comfort.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

weaving loose ends (stargate sg-1, sam/jack) ends with a wedding! in twenty years of writing romance fic, that has maybe only happened once?

8. Do you get hate on fics?

not yet! but the year is young.

a fic of mine did cause a dramatic fandom schism once, in the dancing with the stars fandom no less. a splinter fan group created in exile! a mod claiming to be personal friends with the stars! everybody storming out and then blocking each other! so my fic did cause hate, but somehow i personally escaped unscathed. i didn't even get blocked. (lesson: in some spaces, rpf is encouraged until They Fuck. second lesson: if you start a fire and then stay very quiet, everyone forgets about you.)

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

i do!! i guess!! but i'm struggling with it right now and it's giving me a complex. and "what kind" is like......... vanilla het fic for the most part tbh. gauzy curtain vibes, even. basically, i have to really sit and think about whether to rate something M or E, you know?

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

nope!

realistically, i'm feeling pretty down on the chances that i'll ever finish ANY wip that's longer than 20k, but the two long ones withering on the vine that i'd like to finish are a sam/jack sg1 episodic soulmate fic and "what if janeway went undercover with the maquis instead of tuvok: the novel."

16. What are your writing strengths?

stealing one of geneeste's answers because "character complexity" is a good one! i don't feel satisfied with any fic unless i feel like i have learned something new about a character, or highlighted it in a new way.

my more specific strength, according to @coraclavia, is missing-scene fics that weave through an entire series canon to make a thesis statement (they are In Love).

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

😭 i can't write anything long 😭 i really wish i were different 😭 i envy those of you with staying power who can return to a story after going to work or writing something else and keep plugging away at it. i used to write sprawling things when i was a teen, but since becoming Adult With Job now many years ago, i've totally lost that skill!!

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

haaaahahahaha. talk about a weakness. i literally couldn't bring myself to write a fic that required dialogue in Ancient from stargate, a language that -- i cannot stress this enough -- is not even real. i'm like "well maybe i'll study latin for three years and then analyze all the episodes where they speak it to reverse engineer the differences so i can write the bastardized space latin correctly" GIRL WHY. JUST FUCK IT UP.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

first completed story that i recall would have been star trek voyager in my early teens, and by the grace of rural internet and some kind of prescient sense of self-preservation, it does not live online. first internet-published fic was several years later, for the x-files. for better or worse, that one can still be found.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

i think pieces (stargate atlantis, sheppard/weir, catharsis through sex pollen) might be the new best, and i had a lot of fun writing erasers on pencils (stargate sg-1, clone!sam/jack, catharsis through truancy).

Favorite color: there's a specific shade of yellow orange that just really brightens my day like what a sunset looks like right before the sky turns to night. Currently watching: I guess the last thing I watched was Dandadan with a friend of mine, I saw the first episode and ended up reading the entire manga so it's likely going to be the series I keep up with. Very excited to see turbo granny soon

Currently reading: I just fixed up my nook and downloaded all of Brandon Sandersons stormlight archive books, I've just finished part 1 of his first book The Way of Kings. I'm reading since my friend really wanted me n other friends ti read it so she could start a book club so I'm reading it partly for her and partly because I haven't bitten into a fat fantasy book in a while and I know I'd like it. I was starting his other book mistborn but was told off and instructed to read the way of kings first so im doing that. I'm also reading the manga Gachuakuta as it comes out chapter by chapter with one of my close friends it's been really fun being able to follow a manga as it releases and the art style goes hard.

Last movie: took me a second but I think it was Doctor Sleep at a friend's movie night. I have not watched the shining. Which I feel adds to the experience in a sideways unique way. Rebecca Ferguson's hat in that movie is so funny. I liked it but it felt kinda insane. Like it could've been weirder but it had some shining Hollywood ropes to jump thru. Very fun otherwise very silly.

Sweet/spicy/savory: Sweet I'm sorry to my spicy and savory lovers I'm right there with you but I've recently embraced and accepted I have a sweet tooth and it's been wonderful. I can still throw it down spicy style with only a little crying and savory is soooo close too but sweet. The grip honey in my tea has on me.

Relationship status: I'm dating someone rn 🫣 it's been about 2 months since our first date and it's been really nice🥰. It's been really helpful since in August I needed to get rid of a friend crush which is now back to being a good friendship and today I'm gonna introduce my date to a lot of friends so I'm half nervous half very excited for people to meet. Every day I thank God for Bi women. Bi4Bi baby

Current obsession: Competitive Pokémon TCG. It's truly taking over my life in a good way I love it so much. I want to get to worlds next year. I have like 4 decks rn and I'm making more. My strongest deck and most consistent(despite it being by nature an inconsistent deck) has been playing Lugia Archeops I love those two pokemon and I love how the deck plays. It's a joy to look at new cards and try and game theory new innovations or strategies against other met decks and I have been really good about not buying packs and gambling away money. I will buy singes and b happy. Please talk to me about this I will happily explain and help you get into it.

I still can't believe two summers ago I decided to give This Is Us a try, fell in love and binge-watched the whole 5 seasons available.

Every night, I would get to cooking in a very romanticized fashioned way à la Nancy Meyers main character, pour myself a nice fresh drink as people still enjoyed the warmth of the early evening hours.

By the time dinner was ready, world would accordantly settle for peacefulness as I made my way to the couch to get all cozy and snuggly.

Here would begin, the events I was truly not prepared for..

In just under 2 episodes, I was now finding myself unexpectedly and completely invested, all thanks to the writers for having done such a terrific job on the dialogues, cliffhangers and time traveling. For approximately the next two weeks following, my nights were paced up by This Is Us and driven by my own hunger to find out: what on earth happened to the Pearson family?

From the very first episode, --- which features one of the most beautiful closing scene I've seen on television along Labi Siffre's song "Watch Me" --- up to the last episode of season 1, emotions would come to the surface, hitting a specific spot within me...

By episode 14 from season 2 it was clear, if not clear then, that the tissu box would be kept close by for the remaining time of the entire series.

Imagine some stranger dropping on you some hard facts about life, death, society issues, love, mental health... to sum it up: YOURSELF.

precisely, accurately and totally out of the blue. 😃

As the seasons went on, I was admiring how the flashbacks and foreshadowing started to merge all together into one. It would only get all the more brilliant with each new episode I was discovering.

The show succeeded in giving its audience a range of life observations to think about. Therapy-wise, if you couldn't afford a therapist, This Is Us was there for you. I still rely on and appreciate many of the thoughtful and life inspiring excerpts.

Moreover, it delivered the people with a brand new music playlist. Yes, another key element to all this greatness is the symbiosis between the storylines and the soundtrack. Hold my Spotify, to this day I still listen to the score in my bed, to meditate, to get dreamy. I've also come to discover wonderful artists and can hardly detach their songs from the show as it gave their melodies a new sense of clarity and depth.

When having finished the fifth season, I was desperate for more but afraid to google the show and potentially find out it had been canceled.... which is NOT what happened of course because we're talking about thee show that has garnered over 17 million views in less than 3 days for its trailer alone. alright lovelies?

And so just like that, comfortable in my bed and all up to date, the sixth and finale season of This Is Us was premiered in early 2022.

Only couple of months after having cried an ocean over its past seasons, -- if reminder was needed --, I emotionally began this last chapter of what felt in some parts like my own life portrayed on screen. ✨hopes were high - tissu box storage ran low.✨

Season 6 would open to a flashbacks filled episode echoing Season 1, already preparing us for closure and ultimately heartbreaks. Eventually some people were a bit disappointed by the simplicity of the final episode, but the last minute or so really brought it all up for me. It was ending, right there before our very eyes and it was beautifully executed. The ultimate disappointment would have been to not experience any shivers, but that never happened, the show always got in my feelings in one way or another.

The empty boxes of kleenex that I've been sitting on can testify, your honor.

Last but not least, an aspect of the show that I've truly enjoyed is that all characters and actors were given dedicated moments to shine.

The chemistry between them was real, felt and seen both on and off the big screen and that's precious. I miss this cast.

This year, just a few weeks away from my birthday, there'll be no new Jack Pearson butt to be seen, no mothering singing Rebecca, no anxious Randall, no queen Beth, no indecisive Kevin, no self sabotaging Kate and oh do I miss them all. But I am so grateful for the people behind this project and their creative genius that bought us such a magnificent television program. I had low expectations, it now holds a special place in my heart like no other tv series.

This Is Us did not just narrate a story about some random family, it narrated life authentically at its worst and finest. With poetry and grace, it presented different storylines for each and every single one of us to identify, it offered us our very own reflection, and an opportunity to change, learn, heal or grow. This is the reason why so many of us worldwide described it as close to home,

because This Is Us.

PROJECT SEKAI ANTHOLOGY (DNA) VOL 2 CHAPTER 14

I gonna talk differently here so just skip it (lol) :

Anyone already watch Firefly anime video ? SO MANY SAMS THANK YOU VERY MUCH It's pretty sad, on par with Acheron which is good rather than dating with TB isn't. But then again I'm even more sure now, hoyo gonna kill that girl in next version !

The reasons why she need to die for real ? First and foremost, if not two dating scene with TB aren't make sense ! She's too friendly with TB for my liking which means TB and Firefly already meet as Stellaron Hunter (it's 99% sure, 1% just don't have any real scene lol) and it definitely sure TB is the one who tell her outside world. So if Firefly didn't die in bang especially without saving TB from danger, then all TB x Firefly hidden scene (lol) and her reasoning to die as human will be gone.

After finish watch the anime version, I had feeling "I still have one last role" vibe from it. She even wondering the same as Churin "why people live only to die later" question, so if hoyo decide her dead scene after saving Trailblazer and finally had an answer for that question, she's really complete as a character

And as I said in previous talk, there's must be a reason Welt came in Firefly interview. If it's about SAM (robot), then Silver Wolf should be sufficient. If from my side, I think AE members already acknowledge her as their partner.

IF after next version hoyo decide not to kill her (like making her in coma or something), then it's just means there's bigger power played behind the scenes (I mean whaler screams and money lol). And IF hoyo makes Firefly dying there, I gonna pull for her and abandon Jiao Qiu as my highest compliment on hoyo storywriter !

This chapter focused on Leo/Need again. Not disheartening anyone but L/N and additionally MMJ isn't that interesting to me which is the main reason my mood isn't doing good for this and stopped the translation (lol)

Had a dream couple nights back and became inspired to make a story out of it! It’s my first time writing fanfic so forgive me 😅

Blood Moon 🩸🌕 [Chapter 1]

Summary: Rhett and Link found out they are a lot more mythical than what they originally thought, and they found out more of themselves and each other!

Some warnings: Blood and implied violence in coming up chapters; Maybe a little scary? Nothing too much! (Tell me if I need to add any other warnings!)

“That’s a wrap guys!”

Stevie says as announcement as they just finished their last episode of the day. Some of the crew claps in celebration and a few go over to the main set where Rhett and Link were just playing a game of sorts that include rather large set pieces. 

As you hear series of drills and clutter noises in the background, Rhett and Link got up and thanked everyone for a good day of filming today, though most of the crew will be heading home for the day, not these two men as they were planning on doing some more work on their laptops in their esteemed office.

“Glad we did a lot of catch’in up to do for our schedule” Link said as he sat down at his side of the office opening his laptop, preparing himself with the plethora of emails he has to read and send out.

“Yeah but we still going have to do lot more catching up cause of the coming up tour dates.” As Rhett too sat down.

Link did a little sigh, not out of frustration or anger but a little exhaustion, it’s only been a couple days since they filmed Good Mythical Evening, and Link still is feeling the sores and a certain headache from it. He couldn’t recall doing anything majorly physical, well except of course that glorious scene with doing sex poses with Rhett. Which he can’t get out of his head as he rewatched that particular moment over and over.

As Link was in deep thought, the subtle noises of his name being called.

“Link? Link..? Man, You good?”

Link snapped out of his head scape, “Huh? Oh sorry man, was spacing out. What’s up?”

“Remember what is going to happen in the next few days?” Rhett says with a smile that Link knows too well, almost like he is holding a surprise and Link will have to guess what it is.

“Uh..Halloween?”

“Yes but not it.”

“Oh shoot, oh no is it one of the crew’s birthday?”

“Nah, but it is special”

“Man, I don’t know I’m bad at guessin’..what is it?”

“It’s supposedly a blood moon in a couple of days, the night before Halloween, pretty cool huh?”

“That’s pretty cool, but we have to do a lot of work that day, I might get tired before it even shows it’s face.” Link laughs a bit, Rhett knows how stingent Link is on wanting to go to bed early.

“Come on Link, we don’t get to see these things a lot in our lives! Look we can even go to the Creative House after work so we can see it, it’s only gonna last a few minutes so as soon as it’s done I can take you home.”

“Well, I guess, we can continue writing for Wonderhole while we’re at it.”

“See? And we don’t even have to work on it for the night you want, we can just chill outside and grab some drinks.” Which after the word ‘drinks’, Link jokingly shivers and chuckles “I’m going to take a break off of drinks for a whole month especially after the live show!” Rhett laughs and responds with, “Fine so only water for you, still I’m sure it would be fun and we need a little break, don’t you think?”

“Yeah, ‘Guess so, okay so we have like 3 days till the Blood Moon?”

Rhett nods, “Yeah, but for now let’s continue doing emails and we’ll call it a day.”

Link does salute and a lower pitch of his normal voice, “Yes, Sir”. Which follows with Rhett laughing.

And for the next few days it was the regular routine of filming for the first part of the day and then doing work and writing at their office.

Except at the day of the Blood Moon, they had a little break of the cycle with a meeting, which did aid the two to get out of their little routine, at the end of the meeting, Stevie said, “Hey, I heard there’s going to be a Blood Moon tonight? Pretty funny just a couple days you two were Werewolf and a Vampire for Good Mythical Evening.”

To both of their surprise they never put the two and two together of the coincidence of such, which they both laughed.

The day is over as almost everyone clocks out, some of them either head home as normal, some rushing to their local Halloween store for any quick candy bags or even costumes.

But the only ones left are Rhett and Link, which they told themselves to finish writing up one more episode of the next season of Wonderhole before they head to the Creative House.

“Alright man let’s head to the house.” As Link gets up from the couch.

Rhett grabs his keys and shoves them in his pocket before they start heading out to his car. After dealing with LA traffic and finally making it to Creative House, it was already dusk at this point. “You excited?” Rhett said out loud with an almost impatient tone, Link knew Rhett really wanted to see the Moon tonight. Which he doesn’t mind seeing it or not, but he wants to make his best friend happy, “Yeah man, I’m sure it will look awesome”. As both of them get out of the car and head inside the house. It’s been a hot minute since they been at the creative house on their own, lately it’s always been at least one or two other crew members there either working with them on a project or needing to grab something for the show.

“Wow” Link says in a shiver, “it’s so cold in here.” As he covers his arms trying to keep himself warm, it’s quite odd that it’s as cold as it is, it was a good temperature outside with a little breeze, but not cold enough to make it feel like walking through a freezer.

“Really? I think it feels pretty nice here, I’m sure you left a jacket or something in here from last time we were here.” Rhett looked around searching for some sort jacket, or anything for Link. “I’ll just truck it out, it’s fine.” Even while saying that he is half-desperately looking for a jacket to wear. After a good minute of both of them looking for one, “Let me just try to turn on the heater.” As Link quickly went up to the thermostat, but something is odd with it, “W’the hell? The power for the thermostat is out.” Rhett was very confused with it, “What Y’mean it’s out?” Rhett continued as walks over to where Link is at in the living room, the thermostat sat cozyingly between their TV and the hallway, “We just got a new one, it shouldn’t be shut off.”

“That’s what I’m saying, but the lights here are able to be turned on so it can be a full blackout.” Link trying to press any button on the dial but it’s futile. Rhett said casually all a sudden, “You just wanna barrow mine? Just to hold off till we call someone tomorrow for help? Cause I think it’ll be too late for anyone to come at this time.”

“Thanks but I’ll be okay.”

“You are shaking like a leaf, come on, here.” As Rhett shuffles out of his jacket and hands it to him, which Link sheepishly say “Thank you”, as he quickly puts it on. Rhett immediately noticing the relief Link is feeling within the warmth. “Dang Dude, you a portable heater or somethin’?” Link quirks up. Which then Rhett laughs as a response as he goes grabs some drinks, and a couple of waters from the fridge, he wouldn’t want the thermostat to bring down their spirits, but something odd he sees. Where he notices a lot of other things are misplaced or missing, “Did you know anyone else that was at the house?”

“Uhh..No, we are the only ones to have the keys, I have my key with me, do you have yours?” Which Rhett promptly looks for his own copy of house keys, which he was able to find. “Yeah, I have mine, last time anyone was here it should’ve been when we were here too.” Rhett paused for a moment of thinking.

“That’s weird, maybe someone got some stuff before we locked up before, it happens.”

“Guess so.” Rhett couldn’t stop thinking maybe someone could’ve gotten into the house and stole some things, but when they both walked in there was no signs of any break ins. “It’s odd though, ain’t it?” “Yeah it is but I say we shouldn’t worry about it maybe it was just one of the crew members who got thirsty or hungry.”

Rhett wants to think it was still something else, but he couldn’t think of anything as he responds back, “Yeah, maybe you’re right.”

“Sorry what was that?” Link smiled as he puts one of his hands to cup his ear as motion for Rhett to speak louder.

“Shut up, man.” Rhett laughs with Link joining him, as they were having a moment, they heard a loud thud outside near the backyard. Which to both of them immediately stop laughing and quickly look over to the view of the side door with just a bit of the curtains blocking where the bushes would be normally viewed at, all they can see is the pool.

“What the crap?” Link said in fear, as he closely krept closer to see what was that thud noise is.

“What are you doing man?” As Rhett grabs his shoulders and brings him back to where he was originally at, “That could be someone out there.”

“Don’t you see? What if it’s one of the crew pranking us, cause it’s going to be Halloween tomorrow they would want to do a little scare on us..!”

Which does bring a good point for Rhett, it would make since why all these weird things are happening, with the house being cold, food being rummaged and now the loud thud.

“It sounds like that crow thud we did for the Hazel horror short video we did, I bet someone is out there with the prop, I bet I can prove it!” Link says as he continues walking, Rhett still having his hands on Link’s shoulders, walking with him. “Okay well Why is it a good idea to walk where they want us..?!” In a whisper yell, which then Link whisper yells back, “Because we’ll go out there and say ‘that we know what you’re doing’..!”

“Okay well, What about that chance it’s not one of the crew and it’s some murderous guy?” Rhett says in trying to convince Link to not go. “Then we uh..I don’t know.” Link responds with a silence of ponding on weather or not he should do this, before he can make up his mind, another thud, louder than before, with also scraping noises, which sounds like coming on the side of the walls of the house. Which surely scared the two off and they moved to behind the couch at this point.

“What the hell man..? We should call someone.” Rhett said with tremble in his voice.

“I’m going to right now.” As Link pulls out his phone, but before Link could press any numbers, his phone starts to not respond and the screen turns black. “Okay man this is not funny, I think my phone just died.”

“How? I just saw you charged it in the car..okay use my phone.” And same as Link’s phone, before Rhett could even hand Link his phone, it’s screen too blackouts. “You know what lets not even risk it, let’s just go into the car and get the fuck out of here.” Rhett said to Link as they both get up.

Luckily with the kind of car he has, it is able to start the car even when you are not there, Rhett yanks his keys out and tries to start it, which normally the start up noises could be heard from afar, but nothing. “What the hell?” As he smashes his key’s button quickly in effort to start it off, which fails. “Well let’s just run into the car.!” Link says as you can feel his terrified voice. This isn’t just some prank, or if it is, it was too good of one, which both of them desperately want it to be one.

“Okay, let’s run out of the house on a count of 3..”

“Okay..”

“1..”

“2..”

Before 3 could be uttered out of Rhett’s mouth a crash sounds echoed outside in the backyard, with almost a horrible gnarled noises, which can’t be determined between a person or animal.

The two men decided that was their cue to high-tail out of there, and they made inside the car, both locking the door and Rhett trying to start the car, which doesn’t start. “Come on, come on! You piece of-“

Another loud snarled noise is heard in the backyard, which causes the two to standstill and become as quiet as possible. Rhett was about to whisper something to Link as he turns to see his face, which when he sees Link, a true terrified face shows, as Link is not looking back at him but afar.

“Link? Link!” Which then Link quickly taps Rhett’s shoulder as a signal for Rhett to turn to see what Link is seeing. Both of them are now seeing a pair of big eyes in the distance where the backyard gate would be at, eyes glowing as a bright red, mirroring the same color as the Moon is now.

CHAPTER 16 IS ONLINE on AO3

First things first: Thanks again to Cookies93 for beta reading. Who put in another late shift yesterday so that you can get your new chapter this morning.

Then maybe a few words about the current status. Chapter 25 is almost finished. But it was almost midnight yesterday and fatigue overwhelmed me. That's why I didn't manage to finish it. I'm currently at 130,000 words. And still in episode 5x11. There's a lot to write about there too.

By the way, I had to laugh a little. I had just finished writing the scene when Lucy asks Tim for tips for the Citizens' Academy. The scene where “Nothing” comes. When Tim is asked from Nolan what he did the night before. And if you look at Lucy while Tim is talking about the academy...well, she's gone and doesn't hear anything about what Tim actually says. And I just worked that into my chapter... shortly afterwards there is a post on Tumbl with exactly the same scene and the same comment. Sometimes it's nice when others see it that way too.

Sneak Peak:

Lucy wakes up the next day with cramps and immediately aware of the reason of said cramps. It’s her period. She always has these cramps on the first day. So, her the first she thinks is "Shit."

The second thought is "How did I ended up in bed?" And the third: "Where's Tim?"

One issue at the time Lucy! She jumps up from the bed and rushes into the bathroom, or rather straight into the shower. As the warm water runs over her body, she tries to work out exactly what happened yesterday. Did she fall asleep? She remembers that they were watching some documentary on the tv. She was in Tim's arms and then? Then nothing … She doesn't remember anything at all! Only that she got insanely tired at some point. Oh boy. Apparently, she fell asleep on a date with Tim. AGAIN! How incredibly embarrassing. She just can’t help it, she always feels so safe in his arms and somehow her heart must be saying "Just sleep Lucy. You are safe." It has never really happened to her before. She never fell asleep on the couch in her boyfriend’s arm.

But actually, it makes sense, because she's usually super tired the days prior to her period. And the last few days of dating, going to the bar and the overnight stakeout have probably taken more out of her than she thought. She was clearly behind on her sleep.

But that doesn't explain how she got to bed. She had just finished taking a shower and is in the process of drying off when she hears the front door open. It takes her about three seconds to finish drying before she starts to panic. SHIT! When Tamara sees the state of the couch and the two teacups, she will instantly know that someone had been over, and she will need to come up with a cover story.

Lucy quickly wraps her towel around her body and hurries out of the bathroom. As she enters the room, several things register in her mind all at once. Tamara is standing facing away from her, opening the fridge. The cups have been cleared away and the blanket is neatly folded over the back of the couch, while all the cushions are back in place. Oh, thank God for Tim and his tidiness.

Tamara turns around to sound of Lucy storming out of the bathroom, crossing her arms and lifting her eyes up and down in response at the sight of her.

"Are you alright?"

"Yes. How was the party?"

"Very good, I'd say."

Then Tamara points at her with one hand and waves it. "What are you doing?"

"Showering."

"I can see that. But what are you doing here?"

"Ehm. Tea... I uhh… I wanted to put some the kettle on."

Lucy goes to the kettle, picks it up and fills it with water, then switches it on. In the meantime, Tamara has turned back to the fridge and taken out a bottle of juice. Then she glances at Lucy again.

"And you just came up with that spontaneously in the shower, did you?"

4. Do you outline before you start writing? If so, how far do you stray from that outline?

almost always yes! for shorter fics, i either go in completely blind (like my renegades or streamer au) or type out little scene descriptions (like, for the nerds au: nico's sick; arrival to school; uno; etc.). but for longer fics/plot-heavy fics, i usually have two main outlines: one that covers the main plot points, the things that are definitely happening / when those will occur, and then one that i regularly update with the scene by scene ideas so that when i start a chapter i know what i have to get done.

for tyt, i have like... five different outlines. one for album releases, one for chapters + one-shots (like, when the one-shots fit into the main storyline), one for scene by scene outlines of chapters that are only going a few chapters ahead, one for pre-tyt lore, and one that outlines the main big events.

album releases change a *lot* because i'm constantly changing little parts of the plot, so usually i just stick to the year i say i'm gonna release it, and then the date gets moved around quite a bit! pretty much all of the other outlines are constantly changing as well, but the scene by scene outline is the one i struggle with the most... i only plan a few chapters ahead in scenes because i almost always end up going either over or under the planned word count with the scenes i planned (i'm HORRIBLE at estimating this) so then i either pull from the next chapter or move a scene (or 2 or 3) to the next chapter, or sometimes i'm even creating brand new scenes just cause i feel like it. so... i stray a lot

and just for reference, this is what my main outline doc looks like!

Chapter 20 (january) rachel one-shot Chapter 21 (february) telling drew about engagement + hiring katie first show madison square garden tweets about tour sadie and carter + the rest of the crew and will + leo + jason releasing single on first night of tour - the archer hazel pov dead ends and moving research to jake

clearly, some things changed. katie was not hired yet (will possibly be eventually, if i can find a way to include it, so not that much of a spoiler), i didn't really do tweets about the tour, and the crew stuff was all combined into just an instagram post. didn't end up releasing the archer, decided to move that to a later date. but the gist of it is there and this was one of the rare occasions where i actually managed to fit everything that i planned for in the final draft of the chapter!

7. Which part of writing do you struggle with most?

party scenes. god i HATE those if i can i'll always just turn it into a piece of social media or something, i remember being stuck for like a month on that stupid halloween scene back in the first tyt chapter. and then i nearly got stuck on that will party scene before i decided to just cut it out completely.

aside from that specific type of scene, probably dialogue or just finding the time/motivation to write. dialogue has gotten relatively easier over time, but i still think i'm much better at an internal dialogue rather than external. as for time, as we all know i've got a lot of work for school to get done, and usually by the end of the day when i've finished all my hw/studying i just don't have the energy to write something, which sucks because i've usually been thinking about it all day :/ so it ends up getting crammed into the weekend, which can be hard if it's just not a writing day for me! but i still try my best to make time for it because i really do enjoy it and am unhealthily attached to tyt lmao

10. Do you enjoy writing dialogue, exposition, or plot the most?

probably exposition! i love including little details into the internal dialogue, as i said earlier, it's my favorite part of writing. so i think that would count as exposition, even if a lot of times i worry about just infodumping... either way, writing that first hazel chapter? SO much fun. i just get to completely dump all of her lore. after you spend so long thinking of the context and background of characters/new settings, it gets really exciting to finally put that all in there!!

23. If you had to remix one of your own fics, which would it be and how would you remix it?

ooh i feel like i would love remixing tyt just because there are so many opportunities there and so many different ways their lives could go. that's probably the basic answer just because that's my main fic rn, but like??? i love it sm. i might change it so nico comes out earlier, or maybe hazel found nico earlier, or maybe nico's father doesn't die, or... god, so many options. it's either that or my hunger games au so that i could remix it to have a,,, non-MCD ending lmao, but i do love the actual ending. very angsty, very fun.

August Wrap-Up

August was a bit like July. I wrote more than I thought I would. Slowly easing back into Heist. Actually feel like I’m getting somewhere again. Also it helps that I’m not holding myself accountable to have “[so many] chapters done by [date]” it’s more like “I will write/edit for at least 30 minutes every day and see how that goes.” And it’s working really well for me right now.

Still no move. Still no luck with job applications. Not much to say there because it’s depressing.

📺On the Screen📺

So we watched Dungeon Meshi/Delicious in Dungeon. And that was fantastic. I knew I was gonna like it. I did not realize how much I was going to like it. I loved watching something that talked about diet serving you and your body, not trying to push yourself into something that’s ultimately bad for you. I loved watching everyone’s particular brand of autism. The magic system. The worldbuilding. The general symbolism I could write essays on it.

Marcille is, unsurprisingly, my favorite. You had me at “elf mage” to be honest. But also the way she approaches magic. The reason she does the things she does. Her propensity for “blow it up first, ask questions later.” Her particular brand of necromancy :) I just love her. I think one of my favorite parts was when they were fighting the red dragon and Laios told her to blast him up to the dragon’s face using only Senshi’s shield as protection and she balks a bit but then she does it. The two of them are matched crazy for crazy in the best way.

I’m slowly working my way through the manga now to see what happens next. I am mad that we didn’t get the bit about Marcille’s hair during the ritual but otherwise I’m loving how faithful the anime adaptation is. Looking forward to Season 2!

🎮With a Controller🎮

Technically, mouse and keyboard, but still. Continuing my run of Dragon Age: Origins. I keep binge playing it off and on. So I’m only about halfway through. I’ve finished Ostagar, done the Brecelian Forest, the Circle Tower, and Redcliffe through saving Connor. I’m now questing to find the Urn of Sacred Ashes.

I’m also going through a bit slower because I’m sorta-kinda writing down events as they happen for that theoretical Origins fanfic I keep telling myself I’m going to write. But I actually have more substance to it this time. (Oh yeah I did mention this last month. So yeah, it’s still happening.)

Also the brainrot of “Delicious in Dragon Age” happened and I was thinking about a blend of the two. Have I actually gone anywhere with this? Nope! But it sure was fun to think about for a few days.

(also it's so amusing when I'm on fire during a cutscene because the animation didn't stop prior to the scene starting.)

💻At the Keyboard💻

In addition to the zero draft stream-of-consciousness Dragon Age fanfic, I did put some more effort into Heist this month. Restructuring everything last month really got me going again. My total net word count for the month wasn’t very high, but that’s also because I’ve been deleting stuff that isn’t working. (Or, rather, moving it to a deleted scenes folder which doesn’t impact my total word count in Scrivener.)

But yeah, Chapter 27 got half rewritten to set up my new stakes. Then, naturally Chapter 28 needed edits to reflect that. Chapters 29-30 actually were mostly unaffected. But then Chapter 31 needed edits, Chapter 32 needed the major conversation in the second half entirely reworked, and Chapter 33 needed to be reworked tonally. Chapter 34 was entirely new, but it fit in and filled a hole nicely. The latest thing I’ve done is change the POV for Chapter 35, which I’m almost done with. There’s now going to be 48 chapters according to my most recent outline and hopefully I’m still under 110k words when I’m done. (Previous draft was 60 chapters and 106k words.)

But word count is actually not something I’m generally thinking about at the moment. I’m trying to get it all on the page. Ideally, by the end of this month I’ll be nearing the end of this draft. It’s the stretch goal, but I’m not going to beat myself up over it. 30 minutes a day minimum, we’ll see where that gets me.

The Florist and The Tattoo Artist

Day 1: Tattoo Shop/Florist @dukexietyweek

Author’s Note: It’s Spooky Gays week bbs! You all remember last year when I said I'd write a fic to this exact prompt based on my post? Of course you do! I of course did not write it yet B U T don't scroll away just yet I promise there's something. I've written a little snippet (I say snippet as if it isn't literally half of one of the chapters) on one of the scenes that happen in the story but I made sure to write in a way where you don’t really need the whole fic to understand what’s going on. With that being said enjoy I guess!

Summary: Pretty much just Remus coming up with a tattoo design for Virgil and asking him out on a date.

"Y'know for a tattoo artist I'd expect you to have at least one." Virgil commented as he started watering the beautifully grown plants in the shop. "Oh I do I gave myself a tentacle sword one on the right side of my ass." Remus answered casually. "How did- Y'know what I don't wanna know." The tattoo artist cackled at seeing Virgil shake off the impressive yet disturbing thought. 

"Trust me I'm gonna get more soon. So what about you, have you ever thought about getting a tatt?" 

"I mean... I wouldn't mind getting one I just don't know of what." The florist shrugged as he finished watering the plants and walked back to the counter. "Well for starters where do you want it?" Remus asked. Virgil thought about it for a moment. Despite the florist's appearance he never thought that far ahead about where'd he even get a tattoo let alone hoped for one in the first place but knowing the tattoo artist, the mustached man would probably come up with a big or possibly suggestive kind of design for him so he went the safe route. 

"I don't know probably like..." Virgil started rolling down his sleeve and pushed his wristbands and bracelets out of the way and pointed to his wrist and forearm. "On my wrist or forearm or somewhere around there." "Hmm..." Remus suddenly took Virgil's arm and started lightly tracing the design he had in mind on the emo's wrist area. The florist fought back from shivering at the touch already knowing the smug words that would come out of the tattoo artist's mouth if he did or looked back up and saw how much he was blushing but luckily Remus was still distracted with figuring out the design. 

How did we get to this... One moment we're working across from each other and I'm trying to kick you out of here as much as possible on the daily and next thing I know I can't get enough of your stupid flirting...

"Got it." 

Virgil immediately snapped out of his thoughts once he heard Remus speak again. "I think something like a stormcloud with patches on your wrist would look good. Something like... OOH! Do you have any paper?" Virgil looked under the counter and found his sketchbook and handed it to Remus with a pencil. The florist mentally hoped and prayed the tattoo artist didn't carelessy flip the pages too fast and see the drawing of him on the very last page. 

If he asks or says anything just tell him it's Freddie Mercury but edgy. 

But Virgil instantly relaxed when Remus thankfully started sketching the design on the first empty page he spotted which was in the middle of the book. 

Remus was known to be fast with his sketches but he made sure everything was detailed and perfect to the point where he didn't even need to use the eraser. After a minute or two Remus finally finished the drawing and looked at it satisfied. "Like this."

Once the tattoo artist flipped the sketchbook over to reveal the design, Virgil stared at it amazed. When Remus said a stormcloud with patches he certainly delivered. It was so detailed that the emo even immediately knew what colors he wanted it all to be. 

"Woah holy shit that actually looks pretty badass!" "Thank you! I tend to give only the best for my Muses~" Remus winked smirking as he put the sketchbook back down.

Wink at me with those damn pretty eyes one more fucking time and I'll give you something to be smug about  

Virgil cleared his throat blushing. "I'll think about it." "Cool just let me know and I'll give it to you for free." The florist went wide eyed at hearing that. Normally people would be grateful for not having to pay for a tattoo but the thought of Remus possibly needing the money one day just didn't sit right with Virgil. 

"What? Ree no no no I can't but what if-" 

"No butts except yours getting the tatt for free Vee Vee!" Remus booped Virgil's nose to which the florist sighed defeated trying to swat the tattoo artist's hand away. "Fine." Virgil playfully huffed and crossed his arms looking away. "Good..." Remus suddenly smirked. "Fair warning though tatt's on the wrist hurt like a bitch but I'll gladly hold your hand if you need me to~" He teased wiggling his eyebrows. "Shut up." A flustered Virgil playfully hit a cackling Remus' shoulder. 

"But if you really wanna pay me back I'll also take a date as a form of payment~" 

"Not that I'm immediately saying yes or anything but what did you have in mind?" 

"There's an Italian restaurant down the street... I know how much you love pizza and bread sticks~" Remus took Virgil's hand and kissed it smirking as the emo's face became even redder. 

Can you stop making me wanna fucking kiss you for 10 seconds!?

"Alright fine you had me at the pizza and bread sticks." Virgil said not letting go of Remus' hand. The tattoo artist beamed at hearing that. "Really? Well how does tonight after we both close sound?" Virgil couldn't help but smile at Remus' eagerness. He missed seeing that pretty spark of excitement in the tattoo artist's eyes. "I'd like that." "Yes!" Remus fist pumped whispering victoriously to himself. 

"You won't be disappointed-" 

The tattoo artist was cut off by his phone alarm ringing to which he dramatically sighed and turned it off. 

"Looks like my lunch break is over... Meet back outside of here later?" 

"Sounds good." 

Remus smiled at the approval and before he could turn away and leave Virgil tugged him back to him and kissed his cheek causing him to freeze and blush.  "Now go before I change my mind and you mess up your schedule and if you do, that won't be on the lips tonight." Virgil teased. "Yes Sir~" Remus smirked and quickly ran out of the shop and back to his job. Virgil chuckled and shook his head.

No good deed goes unpunished IV

This was one of the first chapters I wrote for this fic. I'm so excited to finally share it. The GIF I used here, was the inspiration for the events I wrote about.

Just ignore the fact that I published the VIII chapter and I didn't make a post.

I'm so excited about this one that I want to share a few extra things I did while writing, that don't show up in the chapter. It contains spoilers, so look for it later or at your own risk.

First I have to say that I learned A LOT of names from medical stuff in English by doing the translation. That was awesome!

But what I wanted to talk about here was that sometimes I get obsessed with research for my stories, sometimes I even waste all my free time on it without writing anything. And sometimes not even half of it ends up in the story. This said, I did A LOT of research for this one, to try and make it right.

Like, when I decided that Patterson would end up in Port Alberni. The first thing I did was to go around the city with the street view mode of Google Maps, just to get to know how it was and to have a more accurate idea of what Patterson would see from the hospital window.

Then, my goal was to make it unclear where she escaped from, so Patterson is told she walked from Parksville, which is part of Madeline's deception. According to Google Maps, it would take approximately 9hs 54 minutes to walk that distance.

But she wasn't in a city when escaped, but out in the woods. My next steps were to find at least two other places that had a similar distance to walk but weren't cities.

After a few hours, and thinking about changing the city Patterson ends up in, I found two options: Rosewall Creek Provincial Park and Clayoquot Plateau Provincial Park. (Minuto más, minuto menos)

Like, she didn't need to be exactly in those places, but it helped me to picture what she had seen on the road while walking in the snow.

Something that I find curious is that this last distance, which Google stipulates would take 10h 42 minutes of walking, would take only 48 minutes in a car.

Anyway, to finish this self-exposure of how obsessive I can be, another two things I Googled were the date of the first snow in British Columbia, and the sunlight hours there. This is to get a rough idea of the light according to the hours I imagined the different scenes, and the time of the year this is happening. It may be important for future chapters.

I Googled a few more stuff, but it doesn't matter, you get the point.

2. How many fics did you work on this year? (They don’t have to be finished or published!)

I want to say 12. I published 6, I’m currently working on 2 different ideas for the naddpod gift exchange so I’ve started both and will be making a full decision tonight or tomorrow (lmao), and then there are a couple I just decided to not publish and a couple I’m always working on but will never actually commit to finishing because I can’t come up with a satisfying ending.

3. What’s something you learned about yourself as a writer?

That I can allow myself to do the things I want to do and go back and fix the other stuff later. I had previously only done this with a fic that included a bunch of time skips and that was why I wormed around the document but I did this with one fic that I consider my magnum opus and it worked. (I like to write dialogue more than scene descriptors so I wrote all the dialogue back and forth and then went back and added names and descriptors and everything else and it was so much more fun)

5. What fandom(s) did you write for this year?

Naddpod. It was just naddpod. I’m thinking I might break into d20 next year but I make no promises, naddpod is so fun to write for.

7. What character(s) captured your heart?

Hardwon Surefoot. Moonshine Cybin. For some reason I find them easiest to write even though getting Moonshine’s voice right was incredibly daunting every time I wrote her. There’s just so much to play with and it was very fun. Plus the Hardwon being alive reveal rewired my brain.

11. What fic was the most satisfying to finish writing?

how to think about you (without it ripping my heart out). God that was a doozy to write. It was my first foray into doing something multi-chaptered and I did have it finished before I even began publishing it but doing the daily updates and my every chapter mini edits took so much time that it was so much fun to finish. Plus I thought about the idea for truly so long before I started writing it that it was very relieving to finally finish.

13. What fic was the easiest to write?

Fools Rush In (Idiots, However, Take 200 Years). This is the fic I mentioned for number 3. I wrote all the dialogue in basically one pass because it’s a long, drawn out conversation that lasts an entire day. I immensely love writing dialogue and the back and forth, hitting what Hardwon and Moonshine would say and how they’d react was easy. And then, even though I was dreading the descriptors, they came so easily because I could picture them so perfectly. It does feel weird to say that my longest fic to date was the easiest to write but it was.

17. What are your go-to writing snacks?

Doing that classic ADHD thing where you hyperfocus and forget to eat all day and then start shaking and put fistfuls of m&ms in your mouth while waiting for chicken to heat up. But when I remember to snack, Smartfood popcorn.

19. Share your favorite opening line.

“You love me?” (Fools Rush In (Idiots, However, Take 200 Years).) I knew I’d open this with that before I finished the previous work in the series. I enjoy getting straight to the point.

23. Share the final version of a sentence or paragraph you struggled with. What about it was challenging? Are you happy with how it turned out?

This was a hard goddamn choice but here goes:

“Look - “ She paused, took a deep breath, and started again. “Can I make a suggestion? You two know him better than I do, obviously, but this might be a time where you give him some space. I know that’s not really what you three do, but he’s going through one of the worst days of his life. And you are, too, but he’s incredibly in his head about it right now. I think maybe if you give him a moment to work out his own feelings, he’ll be able to articulate them to you. And you will then be able to assure him that you need him. Besides, your MeeMaw will take great care of him, Moonshine.” (The Void of an Absence)

Alanis is speaking here. And I wanted her to be pragmatic without seeming insensitive while also staying relatively true to the character she is in the show. I ended up with this slightly more emotionally aware Alanis than we’ve seen but she does switch straight to business afterwards, and that is kind of how Murph RP’d the scene with her and Hardwon. But I overthought it a lot. I’m pretty okay with its final version, but mostly because I got to sneak a “tell me your feelings and I’ll tell you that I need you” reference in there.

29. If this were an awards show, who would you thank?

Obviously the two crew for creating characters that so thoroughly destroy and entertain me, and the people who got excited when I said shit like “I have a terrible idea that’s going to hurt” and responded with “do it.”

Lewis Hamilton and the England men's soccer team share a thing or two in common. Both are bursting with pride and talent. Both know what it means to carry the hopes and dreams of a nation on one's shoulders. Both are no strangers when it comes to being front and center in the public eye. For Hamilton, his arrival onto the global scene came in Melbourne in 2007. A stunning Grand Prix debut that had the motorsport world abuzz and the great, three-time world champion Niki Lauda calling him the best rookie driver he'd ever seen. The following year, he would become the sport's youngest ever champion at just 23 years of age. A further six titles would follow, equaling the great Michael Schumacher's record. For Gareth Southgate and England, the spotlight is in the here and the now as they chase an era-defining first trophy in nearly six decades at Euro 2024 in Germany. "I remember being young and thrown into the spotlight. I can't imagine how it is like for those guys that are on the pitch," the Mercedes driver told CNN Sport's Amanda Davies at an IWC Schaffhausen event ahead of the British Grand Prix. "The pressure from the whole country weighing on you, it's tough. I'm really, really proud of our team, just with all the difficulties that they've experienced and they've faced just time and time again, just continuing to get up and the resilience. A nation expects

The Three Lions are aiming to write a new chapter in the country's soccer folklore with expectations heading into this year's tournament arguably higher than ever before. Why? Emotional year

England's bid to reach the semifinals at Euro 2024 falls on the same weekend as Hamilton is set to race at the British Grand Prix for the final time for the Silver Arrows. The Brit stunned the motorsport world earlier this year when it was announced that he would be leaving Mercedes at the end of the year to join Ferrari for the 2025 campaign. Does he feel emotional at the prospect of a last dance at the iconic Silverstone circuit with his current outfit? "At the moment, it just feels like another race. Everything feels the same. It feels like we're still trying to develop, we're trying to win, we're trying to progress through the season," he states. "We're so streamlined in our focus and our efforts that I'm not really getting in the emotional state. There have been races earlier in the year where I've been like, 'This is going to be my last race with Mercedes at this track,' so maybe when I'm there, I'll feel that. The feelings have been far more or sometimes less than I expected, but it's definitely an emotional year." After dominating the sport through the turbo-hybrid era and winning eight constructors titles in a row from 2014 to 2021, Mercedes' failure to adapt to the new technical regulations since the 2022 season has seen them slide down the pecking order behind Red Bull and Ferrari. 2023 was especially painful, with the team posting a winless season for the first time since 2011.
