#to the point where the MLM food insistence is not remotely a deal breaker haha

Hi friends with dogs! I'd love to know what you all feed your canine buddies. Striker is on a specific food he does well on now, but I'm looking into different options for my puppy (Samoyed) when I get him.

The breeder is sending him with a certain food but. The food is from an MLM she's a part of. It seems much better than other MLMs (as this is a consumable product, and dogs can be very picky with food, and she said this food works for all her dogs so honestly? Whatever), but I'm not interested in supporting an MLM long-term. For the record I did tons of research on this breeder and there are all green flags except this food thing-- I think Dog Breed People, and Show People, and Dog People in general just tend to be... completely out of their minds in at least one category, so I'm willing to let it go because this is the only thing she's weird about. Dog people get extremely fucking nuts about dog food, this happens in the horse world too. Apparently this particular MLM is very popular with breeders (specifically Samoyeds!!) and has been for years, and otherwise completely ethical breeders get wrapped up in it, but there's nothing bad about the food itself. I'd rather have someone who cares a little too much about their specific breed than someone who just tries to make a quick buck off them. (There was an extensive application process for this whole thing!)

So anyways, I'm just looking for some opinions because I do subscribe to the "work to find a high quality food, but what matters the most is if your dog is doing well on something and it's not complete garbage". I have a bunch of brands I've heard plenty of fine things about, specifically from people who have Samoyeds, but would love to hear other opinions.
