I could never stop following a Certain Brand of Black Leftists on here because I could not get takes like this anywhere else.
#I Am (mixed) Black disclaimer#there is a certain brand of indescribably discourse poisoned black women on Tumblr that will say the most out of touch things#and in the most compelling way possible#but refuse any criticism from outside their bubble on ground of any criticism of their thought being disguised misogynoir#and then proceed to say even more unhinged shit#like 'yes misogyny is rampant in Rap but you can't comment on it or else youre undoing the work of Nicki and Megan and Doja and Lil Kim#and I don't think it comes from a bad place I think these women are traumatized by the intersections of their marginalizations#to the point of a state of hypervigilance that leaves them unwilling to even entertain the idea of being criticized#because it feels like being silenced#so they refuse any commentary from anyone but their own (i.e. other discourse poisoned black women) which results in the echo chamber#anyway how fucked up is it that *checks notes* there are movies about toys
