When you're trolling tags for random art and you see someone ranting about Darling in the Franxx.

Like they don't like the show. Whatever right.

But the reaching of saying this show is homophobic, and transphobic....I don't...what?

A character living in a basicly oppressive society, discovers a book about how babies are made that no one is supposed to know about and is forbidden. Decides she wants to try that.

Like I get that the show is basically straight ships at this point. But....who cares?

The shows about oppressive evil society run by old dudes. Kids who were basically isolated and trained to be canon fodder figuring out what it means to have feelings for people. Throw in some robots and some monsters and bing bang boom. Thats it....thats the whole.show.

Just because the robots dont work with male on male (unless you count the nines?) Or female on female. Doesnt make it a homophobic show.....its just what the narritive is doing. Like those early scenes of partner swapping is just to drive home the fact that its not that simple. Just cause you want it a certain way for your own basically selfish reasons doesnt mean the show has to conform to whatever viewpoint you hold....like come on.

Like. Let me prefess this.....I'm trans. 90% of my cliq are gay and lesbians respectively. We watch and talk about this show...alot NO ONE. Not a single one of us looked at what the show was doing and went.

Its only straight ships.....and same sex pairings cant pilot together.....thats homophobic. We ya know....just watch the show for what its presenting. Its not that deep. Its not spouting brainwaahing rhetoric or whatever bullshit you wanna call it. It has a setting. Specific rules. And a plot to throw out there and just run with it. It isn't your show and you didn't write it. its gonna be however the fuck it ends up whether you like it or not....so like chill, have a snickers....move on to something more productive that doesnt involve trying to ruin other peoples experiences.

Like the leap in logic to get to that I just don't understand how someone can be either that stupid.....or so narcissitic about their own selfish wants that if the show doesnt -do- the thing thats towards their demographic then it must be saying that their demographic is...the devil?

Also if you hate it that much Why are you 17 episodes in. Stop at 1 ffs.....go watch something else that caters to your sensibilities friendo.

Let the rest of us enjoy the show for what it is....and wonder which one of these little bastards is gonna die. Someone on that team of child soldiers is dying by the end of this damn it!.

Sorry for adding to the discourse. Just I wanted to say a thing about it for myself and no one else. Cause I just really don't get some people....

(I’mma do a small edit to this cause I notice people actually reblogging it XD, I’m not interested in furthering like debate or discourse over this show. I like watching it, my friends like watching it that’s the end of how much I personally actually care. I watch anime for fun and personal enjoyment. If you don’t get that out of this show for personal reasons thats fine. My suggestion is then to move on. Whether its cause you don’t like some of the fanservice stuff, you think the narritive is bullshit, or it’s boring whatever my man. You do you, but call a horse a horse. If you don’t like it, say you don’t like it. Don’t demonize it because it isn’t what you want. That’s all this is post is saying. Again sorry for adding discourse, if it’s possible this post gets out of hand I’ll just delete it and move on XD. I don’t need that nonesense in my life ya know.
