now that im writing this it's occuring that i don't think this was ever actually mentioned or implied in game but the idea of the service weapon following the director around has been in my head rent free for a few days

#not quite literally following just kind of subtle-like. like shut it in a desk drawer lock your office for the evening and by the time youre #out of the building it's back in your pocket #get startled awake in the middle of the night and sit up sharply to find it already in your hand #even though the last place you left it was across the room #obviously you cant give it to someone else to hold so that just makes it easier #the shapeshifting would help too. maybe it's just a pocket knife for a little while maybe a butcher knife at home #hmm.. multitool service weapon...#be a real pain in airport security but the director probably has private transport either way #ANYONE ELSE THINKING ABOUT THIS. got tasked with something outside of my “job description” (something i don’t really have) and it has to do with employee engagement and “content creation” and i don’t know if it’s because i’m about to get my period but my first reaction upon hearing the whole plan was to cry so…amazing friday i’m having here

I think the thing that just existentially frustrates me so much is knowing that there is an empty desk barely four miles away from my cottage here, right across the room from italianikisix's desk, and its only empty because the company is falling on hard times (i think? They talked to me about percentages and i know a bunch of people are gone not just me but numbers confuse me).

and yet because of weird legal things and NDA shit and whatever i cant just go and hangout at the desk and chitchat with my buddy and work on my portfolio there. Its not fair -_- i dont understand it.

#random personal stuff #the stupid p o l i t i c a l picture got unburied and is back in full sight in my coworker's box where I will have to look at it constantly #everytime I look left or get up from my desk or come back to my desk there it will be #I know it's just a dumb picture but it has come to represent a lot of simmering rage with this man's priorities & I am struggling with this #I found out yesterday that my predecessor in this job had issues with this guy over purchase selections #and so did a former distance librarian #who reportedly was told by this man that he believes he's 'doing the Lord's work' in selecting these books #is it the Lord's work to push a certain p o l i t i c a l agenda? these are not religious books #is it the Lord's work to push an opinion of something that is not directly tied to religious teachings?#is it the Lord's work to lie and call a book order a replacement so you can get a book you want without revealing you chose it?#it was suggested recently that I talk with the VP of Academic Affairs about this issue #as something that will need to be kept in mind when hiring the next library director #and I would have to be very careful about how I did it #but I really think I will #I am so tired of this. so tired.#we are supposed to be so much better than this #is it the Lord's work to mock public figures with whom you disagree?#especially about an issue that's not really an issue anymore?#2020 and so forth happened can we please move on now?
