give a basic bitch a semi-decent coming out storyline and they'll act like this is the greatest thing ever done and pretend this is the first good thing coming off a media they're so predictable
#yes this is a reaction to people who watched choni's scene from 704 and say things like 'omg rvd is finally good'#like a show NEEDS to be realistic to be good#and that's not what riverdale is about#and this is so insulting to the cast#to pretend they're bad when the show gives them whacky storylines and that they're only good when their scenes are serious#because guess what? they're good in both case#and yeah madelaine is eating up this cheryl storyline#but she has been constantly great as cheryl for years#she had weaker moments in the early seasons (like cami kj or even vanessa)#and she had serious/sad scenes at the time#but now she does them with the nuance required#because she's a better actress now than 6 years ago#and she's as good when cheryl does crazy stuff like ripping archie's heart out#so don't pretend she needed that moment of vulnerability as cheryl to show she can act because she's been good for years now#just say camp and irrealism is not your thing#because these kids can ACT and this show allows them to act and do plenty of different stuff#spent years calling cami a terrible actress only to be blown away by her performance in do revenge#they need to understand that good ≠ serious#and the riverdale cast clearly has range#especially the girls#riverdale cast
