I've said it before and I'll say it again: I LOVE this song as an Owen song so much. It's brilliant. It makes me miserable. I'm cringe and I'm free
#like yes i know. dsmp fansong. i know i am cringe (insert obligatory disclaimer that i don't like wilbur soot anymore). BUT.#some of the stories on there had real worth and also the fansong scene was IMPRESSIVE#this song is one of my favourite fansongs for the character it's originally about.#by this point in the lore pja had become the only fansong writer i trusted with this character's characterisation#and then i get to come back a few years later and go This Is It This Is Owen#to me it's making me think of like relatively early chimera era owen#(as an aside i love the dismal contemplative mood of the song)#but like verse one has the kinda grim resolve then verse two feels like the beginnings of the DMA and remembering the fall#then i haven't 100 percent figured out my thoughts about the bridge but i do love what pja does with the vocal here#but yeah i just love it#you opened the box
