i need to hear your thoughts on anything about yan! alhaitham i don’t know why he has me in such a chokehold on me but he does 😭🙏
It’s the same for me as well. T-T the chokehold is extreme. I’ve heard his rerun may be coming soon and I fear for my restraint. Is one Alhaitham worth more than Scara constellations???? 。゚(゚´ω`゚)゚。
I may not have many coherent yan!Alhaitham thoughts to share, but there is one that’s been taking up residence in my head a lot recently. It’s a concept in which Alhaitham confines you to his house, but he can’t always stay at home to watch you and he isn’t so cruel that he’d lock you up and prevent you from getting proper exercise. He allows you the mobility, so long as you won’t leave the house. To ensure your obedience, he’s put a tracking cuff on your ankle. It’s essentially the Teyvat-equivalent of modern day house arrest. T-T he’ll know the minute you take one step out of the house or if you try to remove the cuff, and though you’ve never known Alhaitham to be violent you’re still unsure of the lengths he’d go to to keep you hidden like a secret.
Only you’re not a secret, at least not one that only Alhaitham keeps.
Kaveh never says much regarding your predicament when Alhaitham’s around (you think he’s given up trying to debate the oh-so-rational Alhaitham on why keeping you here is necessary), so instead he keeps quiet. It’s obvious he disagrees; you can tell when he looks at you with so much pity softening his eyes. When Alhaitham isn’t home, you try to convince Kaveh to help. You pull all the tricks you know: sad eyes, weeping, complaining, bemoaning your stifled future, pleading for freedom, persuading him to help you now otherwise he continues to keep this terrible, horrible, criminal secret regarding your whereabouts. Kaveh breaks by the second week, but truthfully he’s been on your side the minute you became an addition to the house.
He sits you down at the table and, very seriously, asks if you have a plan. You tell him you can’t leave or else the tracker will notify Alhaitham and it’ll just leave you under more surveillance—or worse: permanently shackled. You’re trying to avoid a punishment and Kaveh understands. You also don’t want Alhaitham to know you’ve found an ally in Kaveh, though both of you know it won’t take much for him to predict and suspect. You and Kaveh plan over tea every day Alhaitham’s busy, swapping ideas like one might trade cards. And when Kaveh can’t be home, you’re mulling over the situation, hoping to find some loophole Alhaitham has yet to close. You’re always second-guessing yourself. If you do find a loophole, what if he’s intentionally left it open? But then how far ahead could he possibly think? And does he really know how to predict your every move? Surely not, right?
Eventually you realize something. The tracker may have technology you’re not very well-versed in, but surely Kaveh knows something. And something is better than nothing. You sit down with him one day and blurt the question: “Is it possible to re-wire the device so it’ll stop sending regular location updates to Alhaitham?”
“So, in other words, you mean you want to break the signal?”
“More or less.”
Kaveh drums his fingers on the table, considering it. “It’s possible,” he says after a silent minute. “But he’ll notice.”
“I’ll be gone by then.”
“You really think you can outrun him?”
“I’d rather test what little odds I have than let this chance slip away.” You take Kaveh’s hands in yours and squeeze reassuringly. “I’ll pay you. I’ll find a way to give you enough so you can get your own place. Or we could leave together. We could be roommates instead!”
Kaveh’s chuckle comes out strained, more wheeze than actual laughter. “It sounds great in theory. In practice, it’s more complicated than simple wishful thinking.”
“Then help me with the device first.”
Kaveh slips a hand out from your hold, and at first he intends to run it through his hair. But instead he places it over yours. “We’ll need a plan…and a back-up plan. This isn’t something we can do overnight. One misstep and you’ll fail, (Name). You have to take every little detail into account. Alhaitham is meticulous. You need to be even more meticulous.”
“I know. I…” You exhale an exhausted breath. This situation is far from ideal. “I know. I can wait. I’ve been obedient and cooperative. He won’t suspect a thing.”
Kaveh’s smile is thin. Somehow he doesn’t believe that, and neither do you when, hours later at dinner, Alhaitham asks if you’ve busied yourself with a new puzzle lately. You think it’s a trick question, but then you’ve been pondering for too long because he adds, “You’ve filled the workbook, haven’t you?”
Right. The workbooks he brings you. They’re simple puzzles: crosswords and whatnot. It’s meant to keep your brain sharp, to give you something to do so you can’t complain that Alhaitham treats you like a prisoner because, in his words, “Are prisoners awarded the right to entertain themselves with brain games?” Right. Just the workbook puzzles. He wasn’t referring to anything else.
You think you’re in the clear when you give your response and dinner carries on as it usually does. But you still can’t shake the feeling that he’s seen through you…
As you’re clearing your place at the table, Alhaitham, who is never one for pointless conversations, says, “You spend a while in the kitchen during the day. Is there something particularly riveting in there?”
You look at him. The kitchen is where you meet with Kaveh to discuss strategies. Of course he’d recognize an unusual pattern. He’s always so observant. But then he wouldn’t know Kaveh keeps you company. He wouldn’t know. He doesn’t know.
He doesn’t know.
“Nothing special,” you say, shrugging, feigning nonchalance.
Alhaitham is quiet. The gears in his brain are turning, no doubt. Before he can come to a conclusion—the correct conclusion, you keep thinking—Kaveh comes to your rescue. He makes a show of tripping on his way to the sink, his plate crashing to the floor with a noisy clatter. It shatters and he curses, chiding himself for his clumsiness.
“That was my favorite plate, too!” he mourns with a groan, gathering the shards, exchanging a sharp glance with you from his place on the floor.
Alhaitham’s expression doesn’t change, but he says, “The plates look the same, Kaveh.”
“No, they don’t. Their differences are subtle, but I wouldn’t expect someone like you, who lacks an eye for aesthetics, to recognize it.”
And so their debate begins, and for the moment you’re spared. Thankfully. But Alhaitham never takes his eyes off of you, even when you’re in his peripheral, as if he intends to dissect you with a calculating stare. You have to be sneakier next time. No more kitchen discussions.
You’ll move rooms often. He can’t catch another pattern if you aren’t settling into one, right?

"Remember my FEH AU" BESTIE I ASSURE YOU IF I'D HEARD ABOUT THE FEH AU I DAMN WELL WOULD HAVE REMEMBERED I LIVE FOR THAT SHIT
@chasemccain replied to your post:
wait…. you wouldn't happen to have….. a design for him…… would you…………… 👀
DID I NEVER TALK ABOUT IT HERE...well I went back and dug up my verse tag on it from the depths of my abandoned RP blog here. There are some things I'd change now that a few years have passed and I feel like I have a deeper understanding of Andy + there are more features in FEH that weren't there before (like...the dining hall didn't even exist. LMAO. Now he can have a little café!) but the general idea of the verse is there. The mental image of him having to be plugged into the equivalent of a magical wall outlet like early comics Iron Man still makes me laugh.
Re: design I never made a design sadly but...there's nothing stopping me from making one now...it isn't something I've thought about in a long time so I'd have to think about how to incorporate both Askran and maybe Niðavellir elements into it while still being something that fits Andy's personality. Maybe something more understated for his casual clothes (typical Summoner robe but slightly modified for his cybernetics) and then a flashier, magitech-armoured outfit for battle? I really don't like how the Niðavellir resplendents just tend to slap gears on the charas and call it a day lmao 😭 I have drawn scarred and cyborg-armed Andy though it's somewhere on this blog...
And the whole Falcon Knight thing was apparently a separate verse entirely lmao but look at this poorly mouse-drawn edit of the SoV Falcon Knight art...the helmet...

2 Unlimited - "No Limit (Rap Version)" 1992 Eurodance / Techno / Eurohouse
If you're an American, you might think that the biggest tune that Belgian-Dutch dance project 2 Unlimited ever put out was their 1991 debut single, "Get Ready for This," which, absurdly, managed to earn its keep as the country's #1 sports anthem, and might still actually hold that same title to this very day. And maybe you don't remember how the trailer for the first Air Bud movie went exactly either, but as you're reading this and trying to piece it all together in your head right now, let me just stop you and tell you that, yes, of course, "Get Ready for This" starts playing when Buddy shows up for his first official game! I mean, it would basically be sacrilege for it not to! That's how inextricably linked that song is to American sports!
youtube
But anyway, even though "Get Ready for This" was definitely 2 Unlimited's most popular tune in the States, it was "No Limit" that was, by far, their most successful song pretty much everywhere else. And as their fifth overall single, and the first off of their 1993 sophomore LP, No Limits, it would end up topping the charts in thirty-five different countries, while not even making the Billboard Hot 100 here. And unless you were in a club-equivalent of a T.G.I. Friday's that would dare play this gaudy tune in the US, the only other place where you might've gotten a dose of it was most likely at your nearest partial portal to mainstream Euro-raveland: a sports arena.
Now, it definitely didn't happen as much in the States, but people everywhere else across the globe who were above the age of twelve really genuinely seemed to go absolutely ape over this very Belgian-and-Dutch-made tune. They really couldn't get enough of that relentlessly blaring, bouncy, and industrial synth riff that sounded like a pair of thick metal plates had been wrapped in thin coats of rubber and were forcibly being clanked against each other.
But whatever you may think of this completely insane piece of music, which was probably, really, the hardest straight-up rave tune to ever cross over into the US mainstream, the video for it that hardly ever aired on American TV was spectacular. I mean, they built the set to look like they were performing from the psychedelically rainbow-colored inside of a pinball machine, folks. The only thing that could've made it better is if they had found a way to make it look like there was a giant pinball freely entering and exiting the shot too, as Ray rapped and Anita sang. Plus, I wonder if the metal-rubber synth sound inspired the pinball machine idea in the first place, since metal balls constantly bounce off of tightly wound rubber bands inside of those things 🤔.
And here's something truly astonishing that I neglected to mention in yesterday's post about 2 Unlimited: did you know that in a bunch of the group's UK-released singles, Ray's rap verses were actually deliberately stripped out entirely? The guy who ran the label that was licensed to release the group's music there—Pete Waterman, of famed British songwriting and production trio Stock Aitken Waterman—really hated Ray's verses, to the point that he just erased them! And he particularly referred to Ray's contributions on "No Limit" as the worst rap that he'd ever heard 😂.
But he wasn't wrong! Ray's raps were nonsensical and very Eurodancy-bad! But it also made the UK versions of the videos really awkward too. For example, in "No Limit," Ray gets plenty of face-time, but his role as a vocalist is merely reduced down to the lines of "Let me hear you say 'yeah!,'" "come on!," and "TECHNO, TECHNO, TECHNO, TECHNO!" 😭
youtube
And despite the fact that he was apparently steaming mad about this, the song still reached #1 in the UK and so did the No Limits album itself, which ended up making 2 Unlimited the first Eurodance-rave group in the UK to break the cycle of having popular singles, but then those singles not translating into substantial album sales. So, Waterman may have wielded a heavy-handed axe, but the results seem to have spoken for themselves. Poor Ray! 😞
Also, I just searched "2 unlimited commercial" and "2 unlimited ad" on YouTube, and it doesn't look like any restaurant has ever licensed this song in order to advertise any kind of 'bottomless' or 'all you can eat' kind of promotion before, which, really, feels unbelievable at this point. Someone please pay me lots of money for manifesting this idea into existence 🙏🤑.
More fun videos here.

bloodborne asks : 1, 11, 19 (besides Gehrman), 30, 50 !!
Ask game from here.
Favorite boss fight
Hm good question as well XD (I'm bad at choice I love many bosses!) But my favorite is of course Lady Maria. As in the boss fight. I need to redo her for sure but I always very enjoy the most fight. It's like a dance I love it! it's hard but not too hard as well. It's impressive, frightening and beautiful all at once.
11. If stats weren't a thing, what would you wear?
Well except when I need to go in the poison swamp or fight the winter lanterns, fight a very strong boss or try a new outfit just for the drip or references I do stay all the time with the same clothes.
That mean this : +the hat
Tumblr media Tumblr media
very gender I know I love it. Wish it was real I would buy it x)
19. Favorite Old Hunter?
Besides Gehrman? Well Lady Maria obliviously duh.
😂 Ok i am joking let's not count her either. And let's not take Ludwig into account too. Well this 3 gone I would say hm Archibald and Izzy perhaps? Gratia as well. (80% of the shit I made about them are basically headcanons but it's not like 98% of the stuff I made up for Paarl jfeznfbf) + I really like Valtr, Henryk & co of course! (a bit everyone lol). But if we count like the nightmare hunters from that era my fav is literally an OC who became the beast possess soul 😭
30. Is there anything you always do in your playthroughs, even if it's not necessary to beat the game?
Hm get at least 3 Umbilical cord at least XD. and do all the bosses + try to have all the set & weapons! (items, runes etc Well the expensive weapons & outfits not all the time for sure.)
50. Tell me about your hunters!
Well I have Lucen Venator of course! (hunter on the pic above!) And I made a 2nd one for a new playthrough, I think I named her Claire bc I didn't want just a feminized version of Lucen's name lol but she's an equivalent of him for sure. One day I would need to make a third hunters for sure.
I made a couple of posts about Lucen & art + my friends did amazing drawings of him 🥺 (from Katy, Chess, Crow & Odds)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(He looks way too much like me smt help. I need to change my icon to the small chibi one day)
SO hm what can I say... ah yeah let's go with the oblivious for me :
In my main headcanon (fic verse) He was born the night MP was summon, but far from Yharnam.
His parents came from Yharnam but flew the city
He's related to Cainhurst a bit. (His mom (Louise) & uncle are from a servant family). The amount of her stress this poor woman had to go through during her pregnancy was quite insane too.
He have an uncle (Lupin) who still live in Yharnam, an old hunter that he don't have news off since some times.
His grandpa on his father side (Blaine/Blair) was an old hunter as well, he's an old friend of Gehrman.
Gehrman literally babysit Lucen's dad (Emil) when he was a baby and save him from being crucified decades later.
Somehow Bloody Crow (Voron) was around when he was born lol. Before he return to Yharnam. Do what you want with all those crazy infos.
Either he became the next crow hunter or baby squid great one.
On my first playthrough I choose "last survivor" but I'm not very settle on what happened exactly besides he got scars on his face for it.
He's a kind individual most of the time except when it's time to kick ass if that make sense.
