oh its not personal at all!

in poland we dont have a standarized legislation for changing your gender, so instead its usually carried out through a civil process in court - but that requires a defendant to even happen. so at some point its been decided you have to sue your parents (or, if theyre dead, appoint someone to represent them) and they HAVE to be present for the entire duration of court proceedings

this of course isnt a problem if your parents are supportive, and ive heard of court proceedings going well even if they arent. but im not even out to my folks and frankly sometimes i think its not even their buisiness, so the whole thing had me go like well. im not doing all that lol
