TIL while checking my Steam achievements that you can get the achievement "Ceremorphosis" even if Tav/Durge doesn't become illithid, and another member of the party does

What I meant to say is that sorry and thank you Karlach you earned me an early achievement

#hel is talking #bg3 spoilers #baldur's gate 3 spoilers #bg3 #to be perfectly honest I actually planned for Raynee to become mind flayer at first #because this would be a cool conclusion to her character arc to go from selfish/sold her soul to the great old one for survival #to selfless “the best option is my sacrifice” party protector #after betraying the emperor for lae'zel she would have got only one choice #but then Karlach proposed herself and after talking with her in length about that she decided to respect her wishes #honestly I'm not sure if it's a good ending for Karlach (or the mind flayer she transformed into) but she seemed happy in the epilogue #and normally there's no elder brain that can enthrall her left so maybe she'll just be like the emperor before #living her life #hel's world in bg3
