tbh one of my more strongly held opinions is that the lack of proper, comprehensive sex ed in the united states is the source of many more societal problems than we'd like to admit

#i say this as someone who went to some fairly good schools but who somehow got through basically never having taken a sex ed class #the most i got were a few ''puberty'' talks led by the school counselor during 3rd-4th grade #and then they made our 8th grade biology teacher do a ''human reproduction'' unit at the end of the year #and even in my 9th grade ''health'' class the teacher spent the whole time talking about nutrition and made us watch supersize me (🤮)#to be fair in my friend's section they had to put condoms on bananas which sounds awful but at least it's SOMETHING lol #anyway sorry for the rant #personal #text
