Is this announcement kinda like reannouncing the rewrite you said you were doing in July or is this something else? I'm interested in the story but when authors are constantly changing everything/making no progress for a long time and then "I'm starting Patreon". Major Red Flags
This announcement is very different as it's stating that I'm changing the entire framework of the game. It's not going to be just a book, it's going to be more interactive, have more options, replay value, music that I'll be scoring for the game, potential art that I'll personally draw and shoop.
Patreon is a completely optional tipping system to support artists while they create the works they want to create. I don't mind if people don't want to subscribe to it when it's launched in the future, because it's optional.
I can understand it's "red flags" while also keeping in mind that making a game is a lot of work, it takes time, energy, resources. I'm not begging for anybody to subscribe to it, and I understand why people wouldn't, I'm just mentioning it as an option to support my work while I create TNTF, art, music, and all that fun jazz.
The scope of the game is now larger than it was, meaning more work, more resources are going into making this game. Since I'm putting in a lot more of those resources, I think it's fair for me to include an optional way for people to support my work. (Also the patreon will be launched when I have more substantial work/things to share/content plans/etc etc.)
Everyone has different methods of working, it takes some people months to write a book, and it takes others years.
Also when writing, yeah things constantly change, sorry for the folk who that bothers, but that's how creating works for many people, very rarely will someone have an idea and have it be perfect and fully thought out/like how everything turns out right at the beginning.
Thanks for the ask, regardless of the tone at the end. I know lots of people have been burned, and I also believe that artists deserve to get paid for their time and work. I personally have subscribed to quite a few patreons in the IF/VN community and beyond, I bring this up and I'm sharing deets because there are a few patreons I've subscribed to where the authors take a very long time to write or hadn't had many if any meaningful updates while I was subscribed, I don't feel regretful about spending money on them though, your mileage may vary and that's absolutely valid.

ring ring ring!!! its me again!!!!
its MY SON!!! OH MY GOODNESS!!! LOOK AT HIM!!! HE’S HERE!!! MY SON!!! MY BOY!!! MY SUN!! MY PRIDE AND JOY!!!! WHO ARE THESE EXTRAS NEAR HIM !!!!
I’ lobe my rat son 🐁
(Name)’s indifference doesn’t feel like true apathy. It’s more like emotional self-preservation! a kind of numbness he’s chosen or grown into, especially around adults or people he doesn’t trust. Sitting in the backseat to distance himself from the stranger is a subtle form of withdrawal, keeping physical space to maintain emotional distance. It shows he’s aware and cautious, not reckless, just distant.
He likely doesn’t feel safe giving others access to his inner world. That creates a barrier.
Alfred, the butler, appears to be the only adult (Name) treats with some care or regard. He doesn’t want to get him in trouble, he smiles (even if it’s forced), and he corrects him respectfully. That shows that (Name) has a moral compass, but it's selective. He recognizes Alfred’s kindness or perhaps his helpless position and responds to that with subtle empathy. Alfred seems to be someone who didn't immediately treat (Name) like a problem, or a task, or some rich kid to boss around. And that matters to (Name). enough to influence his plans.
It’s almost like (Name) has a soft spot for those who are decent or powerless, but doesn’t waste his energy on those he perceives as authority figures or manipulators. He’s willing to be inconvenient for himself (like not escaping when Alfred is watching) to avoid making things worse for someone he respects, even if only slightly.
“…not really due to the age of the man, but simply because the boy doesn’t want Alfred to get in trouble.”
my favorite line like what if i died haha what if tho. (Name)’s respect isn't rooted in hierarchy, age, or status. He doesn’t defer to Alfred because he’s older. It shows that (Name) has probably been around adults who demanded respect without earning it!! teachers, guardians, maybe even people in power? yet failed him anyway. So now, his logic is: “Just because you're older doesn’t mean I owe you anything.” we see (Name) isn’t emotionally detached. He’s just deeply disillusioned with traditional authority. He responds only to authenticity.
He also calculates fallouts of his actions, that means he’s used to being the spark that causes damage. It tells us (Name) is used to being the catalyst for adult consequences. He expects that when he acts, someone else pays. That implies a history of being blamed, watched, or treated like a liability. This mindset is survival based: “If I do something, who will suffer for it?” followed by a “And do they deserve it?” so when he alters his plan for Alfred’s sake, it isn’t just kindness. It’s damage control. A deeply ingrained reflex to avoid collateral consequences. especially for people who don't deserve to be caught in the crossfire.
I want to talk about the emotional math here. math. am I right? haha. he was fully ready to risk running off. No hesitation about what he might suffer for it. He doesn’t fear punishment. That could mean he’s either numb to it, expects it, or he just lowkey dgaf anymore !!
But when Alfred enters the equation, the calculation changes. (Name) has almost completely devalued himself. The only thing that does get a reaction from him is the possibility of hurting someone who’s been decent. Someone who’s… safe.
So this one line quietly says:
“I don’t care what happens to me. I only care if I become the reason something happens to someone else who didn’t ask for it.”
I MIGHT be going on a limb here but, the phrasing also hints at something tactical. he’s ranking the emotional worth or risk around him. And Alfred is one of the few who passes the filter. Strangers? Irrelevant. Bruce wayne and the other residents? ignore them. Alfred? Yeah okay, maybe. I’ll make an exception.
I feel like he’s constantly scanning: “Who do I have to protect myself from? Who do I need to protect myself for?” He rarely adds people to that second category. but Alfred slipped in.
“His eyes wide open, not daring to fall back asleep. He tries to think of his next course of action.”
This is a survival instinct. He doesn’t trust the situation enough to sleep. But he also doesn’t spiral. He gets to work. mentally, at least. That tells us he’s used to handling things on his own. And not in a panicked way. Calm, efficient, cold, and focused. Again: he’s not emotional, but he’s not numb either. He’s used to this.
“...what seems to be, the only worker in the manor.”
This little detail adds another emotional layer: (Name) is observing, taking note of things like how empty the house is. Even when he’s focused on escape, there’s still that tiny spark of awareness. The word seems tells us he doesn’t fully know. because no one’s told him anything. He’s not been given explanations. He’s just been moved like a chess piece.
There’s a low, persistent hum of loneliness here. Not the kind he would ever admit to, but it’s there. (Name) is alone in a big, unfamiliar house, watched, without his phone, and the only person he doesn’t mind is someone he’s afraid might get punished because of him.
“He debated going into a dining room but decided against it...”
(Name) has no interest in inserting himself into the “main space.” The dining room isn’t just a room, it’s a symbol of structure, expectation, and confrontation. That’s where families gather. That’s where questions are asked. That’s where you’re seen.
And (Name)? He doesn't want to be seen.
He watches from the threshold, from the margins, from places that allow him to control proximity and exit. He’s not hiding, but he is avoiding. That’s a critical distinction. He’s trying to stay two steps ahead of anything that might force him into connection, confrontation, or vulnerability.
So instead, he stays with Alfred. the one person who doesn’t demand his presence or attention. In a way, that’s where (Name) feels safest: with people who don’t make him explain himself.
“(Name) watches the man working as he eats the food he prepared.”
I MIGHT BE COPING HAHA BUT HEAR ME OUT…. (Name) isn’t zoning out. He’s watching. Observing. He doesn’t let his guard down even when eating (MY BOY…), he’s constantly reading people, even when they’re not talking to him, he’s most comfortable when other people are focused on something else. watching Alfred work gives him space to breathe. He’s not the center of attention, but he’s not isolated either. That balance, being near someone, but not required to engage, is probably the closest (Name) gets to peace.
“...worried that since the butler starts making breakfast, the rest of the family will get down to eating there. The boy isn't interested in meeting any of them.”
This line is deceptively casual, but it reveals the core of (Name)’s emotional landscape. He doesn’t avoid the dining room because he’s scared. He avoids it because he already knows what kind of interaction waits for him there. he anticipates it. Predicts it. Pre-rejects it.
He’s not curious about these people. he doesn’t believe anything good or meaningful will come from meeting them. he would rather eat in a quiet, practical space than enter a room designed for “connection”
The whole scene positions Alfred as background noise, but a comforting one. He doesn’t speak. He doesn’t intrude. He moves smoothly, the word choice here matters. He’s routine, practiced, predictable. (Name) notices that. Maybe even relies on it.
This tiny dynamic, the quiet cooking, the silent eating, the mutual non-intrusion, is the most stability (Name) has had in a long time. It’s a small pocket of control in a life that doesn’t offer him much.
He’s not close to Alfred emotionally, but he trusts the shape of his presence.
“(Name) doesn’t know why the butler is staring at that picture so much, but he also doesn’t care, snatching the picture away from Alfred’s prying eyes.”
(name) unreliable narrator core?!?!? If he truly didn’t care, he wouldn’t react at all. But he does. Snatches the photo. That verb is aggressive, reflexive, protective. It’s not about Alfred being a threat…… it’s about the photo being a soft spot he doesn’t want touched. His reaction isn't about logic, it’s about defense.
The fact that Alfred is looking at something so private! something that matters! triggers a shut-down response. And instead of confronting or explaining, (Name) acts: grab, hide, seal off.
“...put the photograph into a bag, carefully arranging it in between some shirts.”
He doesn't just toss it in. He protects it. Cushions it. That tenderness contradicts his earlier "I don't care" claim. Which is exactly the point.
The photo represents a connection, likely the only one, that still holds emotional weight. And instead of displaying it or talking about it, he hides it. Not out of shame, but survival.
To (Name), vulnerability = exposure = risk. And people noticing what he cares about makes it feel like a target.
So instead, he treats the photo the way someone might treat something sacred but fragile: hide it, protect it, don't let anyone near it.
This scene is also the first time we see (Name) push back on Alfred in a real way. Up until now, Alfred was his exception, the only adult he tolerated, even accommodated. But the second Alfred unknowingly crosses into emotionally sensitive territory, (Name) closes the door.
Not with words. With actions.
He doesn’t ask why Alfred was looking. He doesn’t give him a chance to explain. Because to (Name), the moment someone looks too closely, they become a risk, even if they mean well.
That means his rule is deeper than “don’t trust bad adults” it’s “don’t let anyone see the parts of you that still hurt, because even the kind ones can’t be trusted with that.”
ALSO ALSO!! noticed the wording???? picture isn’t just of his mother, it’s of HIMSELF and his mother. That’s important. He’s in the photo. That means he’s not just protecting her memory, he’s protecting a version of himself that’s probably long gone. A version that smiled. That belonged. That was held.
By shielding the photo, he’s shielding a version of himself that he no longer lets the world see. Maybe no longer even recognizes.
Also the fact like like (name) allowed alfred to come??? and asked him???? hey is that not crazy. he didn’t go alone. he didn’t dodge the question. he didn’t lie about what happened. he let Alfred in. And he told the truth. even though the truth is ugly and embarrassing and full of abandonment.
"Mrs Smith's late husband helped me bury her, only wanting some money so he could gamble behind his wife's back."
He doesn’t describe it with anger or pain. just resignation. This shows a deep-seated cynicism: he’s used to adults prioritizing their own desires over doing the right thing.
He doesn’t trust people to act out of kindness. He expects self-interest, and even when it confirms his worst assumptions, he’s not surprised. Maybe even finds it practical.
It’s not that he’s bitter. or maybe he is /j.. It’s that he’s conditioned. Trained by experience to expect nothing from anyone, and to see even small “help” as transactional.
AND ALSO !! why does (name) say it now you may ask??? becus alfred asks!!! gently!! with curiosity, not pity. and that makes a difference. If Alfred had assumed or speculated, (Name) would’ve shut down. If he had expressed shock, (Name) would’ve deflected. It’s the first time he’s not being treated like a problem to solve or a child to lecture. That small shift opens a door he didn’t know he’d left unlocked.
The fact that no one knew his mother died speaks volumes. (Name) didn’t just fall through the cracks. He was erased by institutions, by neighbors, by adults too distracted by their own lives to notice. It tells us that he learned early on that he couldn’t count on the world to care. he internalized that invisibility as reality, “If no one saw it happen, it must not matter.” he built his entire emotional framework around staying unnoticed because visibility never came with help, only vulnerability
So when he shares this moment, it’s a quiet rebellion against all of that, proof that he wants to be seen, just not in the way people usually try. (Name) doesn’t cry. Doesn’t break down. Doesn’t say “it hurt.” But he says it happened.
"The boy eats his breakfast in the butler's company..."
HELLO IS THAT NOT A HUGE MOMENT ???OR AM I JUST CRAZ !!!! Breakfast is a vulnerable moment. You’re not armored yet. The day hasn’t even STARTED. The fact that (Name) chooses to sit with Alfred in that space, again, without needing to, is a tiny signal that something is shifting.
He doesn’t offer emotional intimacy, but he offers presence. That’s his version of reaching out.
It’s also worth noting: Alfred keeps offering to make food. Not because (Name) needs help, but because it’s care disguised as routine. And (Name), instead of snapping at the offer, lets it be.
"... and that the teenager doesn't have to worry about others looking at him weirdly, most of them being used to kids roaming the place."
This line from Alfred is small, but crucial. He does something subtle but important: he normalizes (Name)’s presence. He doesn’t ask him why he wants to explore. He doesn’t say “you don’t need to do that.” Instead, he frames it as already expected.
“...the true size of the place finally hitting him like a truck.”
His mind is overwhelmed. From the start, (Name) has relied on being observant, quiet, and one step ahead. He’s methodical: scanning for cameras, noting exits, calculating his next move. But here, all of that slips.
It’s too big to memorize instantly, too complex to map out safely, too old and unfamiliar to control. in my HONEST opinion this hits at the core fear of (name), losing autonomy. the second the environment outgrows his ability to track it, he loses the illusion of control. and with it, his emotional grounding.
The anxiety comes not just from being lost, but from being out of control in a space that might control him instead.
every time im writing i keep thinking of your post “not everything is a trauma response” and id be worried that im being inaccurate or something 😭😭😭 im so nervous guys
“He doesn't pay proper attention to his surroundings anymore, no longer looking around for cameras, his mind fixated on returning to more familiar parts...”
This is so telling. Up until now, (Name)’s hyper-awareness has been his weapon. He survives by being alert, detached, watchful. but anxiety has flipped that skill on its head. he gets tunnel vision. Stops tracking the environment. Stops noticing the very things he’s trained himself to observe. Why? because his brain isn’t assessing anymore, it’s reacting. He’s no longer in “strategy” mode. He’s in fight-or-flight. The fear has overridden his usual composure, and the only thought left is: “Get back.”
that will be all methinks heheh .. all this analysis writing is making me want to write but too lazy unfortunately 😛 thank you for the food….. i ate it and left no crumbs and i also ate the plate and ghe table and the house
i love my son 🙏🙏
yay! it's you! missed you <3
(sorry it took so long to reply had to delete some spoilers I wrote in my first response) 🐁🐁🐁🐁🐁
our (name) spent last 7 years fending for himself, not only he's not used to being by himself and only interacting with people using a 6 feet pole, he's not really used for people to treat him the same way Alfred does (Alfred offers to do things for the boy that he's used to only receive from his mother)
which is also a reason to why he's more willing to hang around Alfred. That old man is some sick and twisted way will remind (name) of his mother (but that will be touched later down the line)
Also Alfred is one of my favourite characters so everyone should expect a lot of him (for a while at least)
Yeah he for sure was failed by the adults and whatnot I mean the police had to get their hands on him for anyone to find out about the death of his mother!!! But also I feel like he knows that being older/an adult doesn't really mean shit. Look at him! He not only managed to stay alive, he kept the house, learned to keep (more or less) his space tidy and how to put food on his own plate. And he didn't really need someone older to do that to him!!!
“If I do something, who will suffer for it?” followed by a “And do they deserve it?”
this. this sums up the way (name) thinks. that's how he most of the time makes his decisions.
Alfred went through the filter as if it wasn't even there. He's the exception
Alfred for sure is in the second category (which nobody really entered in years) (our boy almost forgot the second category existed)
(Name) lived in survival mode for years, he already knows how to act in situation he doesn't feel safe really sleeping in. Instead of panicking, he focuses that energy on thinking how to get out of those situations.
(Name) is also really observing, dare I say years of experience as a thief.
I feel like (name) would never insert himself into a space that is typically used as a 'bonding space' (like a dining room, living room etc.) At least not as he's surrounded by strangers, (name) doesn't really like answering questions. Besides, the other residents of the manor aren't worthy of his time anyway (or most of them at least)
You are in fact not coping!! (Name) isn't really zoning out in this scene, more like finally enjoying some peace in a presence of someone in the manor. Alfred doesn't really bother (name) with anything, he's just doing his own things and (name) really needed that in that moment.
This tiny dynamic, the quiet cooking, the silent eating, the mutual non-intrusion, is the most stability (Name) has had in a long time. It’s a small pocket of control in a life that doesn’t offer him much.
this. well said it's like you're reading my mind or something
And yeah. (Name)? Not really reliable as a narrator. Do not fully trust him, that boy is lying to everyone, including himself.
The picture is really important for (name) for multiple of reasons, but the main one is the fact that it's the only picture he has of both himself and his mother. I didn't really specify how old (name) was in that picture, but in my mind he was either really young (like idk 4/5) or around the age that his mother had died. Either way I think he's mainly protecting the image of his mother.
(Name) asked Alfred to visit the grave mostly because he didn't want to not say goodbye to his mother. But I think a part of him would want to tell somebody that he more or less deems trustworthy.
I feel like (name) stopped being angry over the way adults around him only do something for him when they get something in return. It started way before his mother death and only gotten worse after. Help in his mind is a transaction.
Alfred has years of experience with kids who lost their parents/didn't have a very good childhood so I think by the time he met (name), he already knows what he's doing and to gently ask and not speculate.
(Name) is a child failed by the adults around him, by the system. If the late husband said anything about his mother, maybe (name) would turned out differently. Maybe.
No, you are not crazy, the breakfast with Alfred is a huge moment and will be important later.
he normalizes (Name)’s presence. He doesn’t ask him why he wants to explore. He doesn’t say “you don’t need to do that.” Instead, he frames it as already expected.
I feel like all of the residents of the manor expect some new kid to roam it, explote it as most od them already saw it happen multiple times before (name).
Also when I said “not everything is a trauma response” when somebody pointed out that (name) was quiet because of what he went through I only meant him being quiet in the car. I only said that because I already had the scene of (name) panicking due to the size of the manor. Lets just say that he was in a similar situation before and it ended pretty badly so he's not really comfortable in a space he can't track and/or control.
either way, than you so much for reading and for the analysis!!! If you ever get to writing make sure to let me know I'd love to read it <3

Haha! I just finished reading the new demo and I had to share my experience!
So, I actually found your IF a couple of days ago, so the previous demo is still very fresh in my head, so reading this new demo felt like reading a flashback of the previous demo in a way, and I will admit it was kind of a fun experience hehe
And also considering I basically got the oportunity to read both demos almost back to back, I am looking foward to how this new demo will shape up to be!
welcome! i'm happy you gave my IF game a shot and i really appreciate the ask, thank you so much :)
i love hearing that you had a fun experience reading both demos and i'm super excited to keep writing my new ideas for the story and characters while expanding on things people loved. i appreciate the way you phrased how it felt like reading a flashback, to me that feels really good because i'm keeping the heart of the story alive 🫀✨
i can't wait to share the next update, i've been writing like i'm on fire (while listening to a lot of sleep token lol)
i haven't been this inspired in years tbh!

Hello, dear author!⚘💕
Maddock loves flowers?? 🥺👉👈 umm... how would he react to MC giving him a flower crown? 🙈
have a great day! 😊🌻🌹⚘ (I love your story somuch 😭)
Helllllu 😊
This is such a wholesome ask! I love it. You have a great day too! Thank you so much 🥰🌞
Enter scene: Maddock and MC are hunting near a meadow filled with wild flowers. MC suggests they take a break.
You look over your shoulder. Perfect, he's still looking the other way. You quickly finish off the weave, it's a bit clumsy, you haven't made a flower crown since...
Anyway, you make sure to tie off securely. It's pretty, a blend of yarrow, astrantia, and heath. Some of the flower buds got knocked off, they're difficult to weave... But they all in some form mean protection. Will Maddock know that? Will he like them? Maybe this was a bad idea...
No. I'm doing this. You steel yourself before you can overthink yourself into the Void. You quickly rise and head towards the big man.
Quietly, you tip toe toward him, trying to catch him off guard.
"What are you up to, kid?" He asks without turning around.
You silently curse yourself, then in a swift move, plop the flower crown upon his head.
"Surprise!" You exclaim.
"What the?" He takes it off his head and takes a good long look at what you've given him. His eyes rise to meet yours. "You made this?"
You nod eagerly.
"For me?"
"Yeah... do, do you like it?"
You don't think you've ever seen Maddock blush, but here he is with dark cheeks and a look on his face you've never seen before.
"Yeah... yeah, kid. I really do like it." He confirms, lightly stroking the delicate petals in the crown.

My soul is hurting for Aevan, he makes me think of my brother. Mc digging his grave, kissing his forehead and trying desperately to bring him back? like mc I was naive, I thought oh, our brother is back but ??? I'll go back to my bed and cry again.
I'm really pleased that this scene was so emotional, I wanted people to feel how MC feels in that situation, the pain, the loss, the hope crushed and especially how special Aevan is to MC.
It was hard to write because I was so enthralled in the emotions and it made me miss my own brothers.
Thank you for the ask 💜

Which races exist in the world of The Night That Feeds?
I haven't got everything completely sorted but so far here's races +++
Firde, Shayde, normal and abnormal animals, Ethereal Shayde, Voidlings, Voidal Titans.
Might throw in some good ol vamps and stuff. Certain monsters exist like banshees but aren't always women and are typically created when a dying soul loses track of their journey through the void into what lies beyond and has endured madness because they became lost. Other than-- Wraiths, ghouls, ghosts, revenants, other undead, etc. probs more and stuff, sylvans and creepy and cool naturey things.

Happy birthday! 🎉 I hope today is all that you want it to be ✨ How are you going to spend your birthday? Aaand... How would the ROs want to spend their birthdays? 👀
Thank you, Lorelai!!!!! 🍰🍰🍰
I'm spending it with my partner eating snacks, he got me a tart and probsly gonna play games today, he got me the new cattails and I might play sunhaven and just have a nice chill birthday!
And how the ROs would want to spend their birthday:
Maddock: He hasn't celebrated a birthday in over a decade. What would he want to do? Honestly he might just order an extra snack he usually wouldn't splurge on.
The Hunger: Birthday? Was it birthed? Does it get a special day too? It doesn't know what day it came to this world. You'd have to pick a day for it to prevent it spiraling. But it would want to spend it with you.
Fellis: When you wake up, she's bright eyed and bushy tailed, and baking up a freaking storm. She'll grasp your hands with a giant smile "It's my birthday! Come, I made bread."
M!Ward & Enby!Ward: PARTAYYYYYYY. They want to throw a big party on the ship with all the people they love.
F!Ward: She just wants to have a quiet beach side fire, perhaps throw back a few shots of rum and bask in the peace.
Xep: They want a small quiet affair with all their favorite snacks, drinks... And people. Perhaps a bit of dancing as well with someone playing a few upbeat songs.

I want my MC to hold Maddock with his head resting on their chest whilst they both enjoy the afterglow of doing the devil's tango as they softly sing to him and comb fingers through his hair. I am touch deprived af. Just thought I'd let you know since he's apparently your favorite :]
Thats literally so sweet, need that to be a scene for musical MCs with corresponding other hobby MCs. That's gonna be a canon just cause you gave me this beautiful scene idea.
Maddock is so touch deprived too.
I plan on a lot of scenes with this kinda lovey fluff (because MC is touch deprived especially since Aevan died.)
😭😭

HI!! How are you? I just played the demo and literally loved every second of it, the emotional neglect with MC's mom hit close to home BUT it was written very well :,)
I like that we get to pick hobbies as well! And I liked the angst that came with Aevans death (idk if I spelt that correctly). I have a close relationship with my older sister, my pal, my good time boy. And losing her would honestly haunt me too especially being around a mom who's very emotionally neglectful and responds to vulnerable emotions with an eye roll. To have that safe space taken away from you and being blamed for it would fuck me up too so you really nailed it there with your writing!
I'm foaming at the mouth for Maddock Kdbjfbdj
PET?? ON GOD??? Literally gnawing at the iron bars of my incloser. Playing Francesca by Hozier right the fuck now cuz that's how I be feelin. I have a type for broken men lol. Even my friend found themself barkin and meowin for the sexy Mercenary.
Hi anon! I'm doing good today, I was working on some coding for the story and FINALLY got through some tough bit of code that was stalling my progress bad all thanks to @albywritesfiction (SO HELPFUL OMG)
The story is very inspired by my own personal feelings and experiences with my mom and siblings (tho none have died but I've lost some of them in other ways.)
So it makes me happy but also very sad when people can personally relate to my story. Much love 💜
And I am so so flattered that you love my writing, I really appreciate the compliments especially about the emotional impact it has. The new update isn't going to overly mess with anything beyond maybe rewording some stuff and fixing the pacing and grammar etc.
And I'm so glad people love Maddock. He was the first RO I developed, and it probably shows lol, he's a very emotionally complex and innately sexual character, I was a little worried about how he might be received considering I don't often see IFs with ROs in the older realm. But I love him, and the potential (especially BDSM) relationship aspects you can have with him. I'm really trying to nail down a man that is emotional, and strong, and safe and definitely some amount of broken.
(you can probably tell I REALLY like broken men too 👀)

x and y for maddock and the goodest being the hunger?
Ooooh, you picked some ones that I wanted someone to pick for these fine fine characters 😌
X = What would they do if their s/o got injured?
Maddock: First and foremost, he's getting you to safety. That's his number one priority, then he's doing rudimentary first aid. If you need more serious attention, he's getting a magus as quick as possible while having Fellis administer some of the light healing charms she has.
The Hunger: Whatever, whoever hurt you is getting destroyed, or preferably eaten. It makes sure the others get you out of harms way while it rampages. Feeling fear for the first time, it doesn't understand how to restrain itself in that moment with all the emotional flux.
Y = Do they have any habits that might bother their s/o? (I'm not doing the pet peeves because it's too individual and dependent on MCs habits which depend on you, the player)
Maddock: Not the best communicator, his time completely alone for ten years has taken a large toll on his social skills and articulation.
The Hunger: It eats people. It won't stop, because it can't, that's how it survives.
