"The Mr. Peabody and Sherman Show" is basically discount "Panty & Stocking" (and here's why?)

I remember mentioning in my long analytical post about Mr. Peabody yesterday that "The Mr. Peabody and Sherman Show" is kind of like a discount "Panty & Stocking." I remember watching TMPASS and can't help but be reminded of PASWG which is kind of hilarious!

While the show is more goofy and kid-oriented, it's just the humor, animation and character design is not that far from Studio Trigger's work in my eyes. I am also glad that PASWG has finally dropped an official trailer for S2.

A friendly reminder to the kiddos! You might wanna click away 'coz one of the shows I'll be discussing isn't suitable for younger audiences. Tumblr, you better not kick my arse as I try to make this post as clean as possible!

I was thinking that if they want a comedic and light-hearted show like TMPASS, it'd be cool to see Mr. Peabody and Sherman (who is now ten) as frenemies. I wanna see them share a similar dynamic as Panty and Stocking who tend to butt heads at times but with the same demeanor as The Demon Sisters.

They would make a show that forces people to be perfect in every way, wear strict uniforms, ban swearing, video games and ban all sorts of self-expression. Those who don't comply are subjected to public humiliation.

Not to mention how ecstatic the parents are and thank the show for getting their kids to be well-behaved. Imagine them shouting "RUUULEEEZ! RULES KEEP BEHAVIOR IN CHECK, SUPPRESSION KEEPS THOUGHTS IN CHECK AND PHYSICAL TRAINING KEEPS THEM FROM TURNING INTO FAT ENCHILADAS!"

The time-traveling segments will be correlated to good etiquette and intelligence. Of course, they'd form enemies along the way such as the reoccurring Anarchy Brothers, Snoterella, The EEEEEVIL DORKOs (a group of school dunces), Mrs. Deadbody and Sera (a cat-daughter duo) and Mr. Rubberlardo who likes to cover the planet with lard and make everyone fat. Imagine them having crazy fight scenes like these:

Mr. Peabody would look cool as a skilled shooter though. He is just as calm and level-headed as Scanty. Sherman could be like Kneesocks who is loud and impulsive. Most of the time, they could make weapons out of anything (err, not with magical lingerie).

I know this is kind of weird but do know that Hiroyuki Imaishi and Keiko Murayama (the character designer who also worked on TMPASS and Carmen Sandiego) are among my greatest inspirations.

Since this is also a jukebox kind of show, they could have Teddyloid and other musical artists provide the soundtracks and even guest star in the show. How about throw in an episode dedicated to Mr. Peabody and Sherman forming a band just like in PASWG with their D City Rock music video? No! I don't like that Ruff Guyz episode from TMPASS. That's not canon!

I'd hope Science Saru, the same studio behind the Scott Pilgrim anime, gets to work on TMPASS given their versatility and unique style. I believe Japan is great at adapting Western media and it helps how they get to make the characters a lot more expressive and memorable. Maybe we could get a Mr. Peabody anime!
